The violent drug-related murders of two prominent attorneys have the homicide division of the Chicago Police Department scrambling for answers, but without clues, a motive, or a suspect, not even the FBI can track down the killer. With the media demanding an arrest and at their wits’ end, the Chicago Police Department makes an urgent call to the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office in hopes of … bringing in Kate Pierce, a psychic detective, on the case. A reluctant Kate agrees only when word comes that Jesse McCord, a new friend and top-notch Chicago homicide detective, has gone missing. Partnered with Detective Henry Johnson of Chicago’s homicide division, Kate goes on the hunt for the killer, armed with clues from her revealing dreams—and her dogged determination. As they inch closer to locating Jesse and learning the identity of the suspect, they realize the killer may be much closer than they think.

Editorial Review: “Psychic detective Kate Pierce works for a small-town Wisconsin sheriff’s department but gets called on by the big city when the Chicago Police Department finds itself at an impasse in a case involving two dead attorneys and a missing cop. Though Kate believes in the value of her work, she confronts not only a killer but also the good-old-boy network when her mostly male colleagues in Chicago ridicule her psychic abilities. This fresh, intriguing new heroine was a supporting player in some of Sutter’s previous novels and gets her well-deserved turn in the spotlight in this terrific new crime thriller series.” Angela M., Line Editor, Red Adept Editing

Excellent read!
All books in this series are very interesting. I love this author.
New author for me great reading couldn’t put it down
Very unique starter of a new series by this author. Enjoyed the premise and storyline.
A good read. I enjoyed it.
main character just wasn’t believable, but rest of characters were well developed, all in all it was a good read
This was a great spin on your typical murder mystery, with the addition of a psychic detective. It was believable and the main character was engaging. It was an enjoyable read.
good book, good characters and story, hope there is more to come
Liked this series, will continue it
Good
Interesting premise. Fast moving read. Not perfect, but good enough to make me want to read another in the series.
Gripping drama and couldn’t put the book down. Very entertaining.
This was jut okay, nothing special. Just wondering why he kills some fast and other slow. His motive did not really make sense to me and if he was so unhinged why didn’t the other policemen notice something was off. As I said enjoy the book as an afternoon beach book and will enjoy it.
Suspenseful once the bad guy had two hostages.
This was one of the best books I’ve read in a number of months. Got your attention from page 1 and literally could not put it down
Loved it
Good book can’t wait to read more by this author.
Read the whole series. Great books
Page turner, twisted. Good Read!
If you believe dreams can tell you what happened in a crime, you will enjoy this book
This is fast paced with an unusual premise. I think the psychic angle (and did not detract from the story otherwise) was unnecessary- the characters are great as they are.
