A new dark romance from the USA Today bestselling author of the Rydeville Elite series.Everything changed the night my dad died. The night I met Saint, Galen, Caz, and Theo. Those manipulative a-holes set out to ruin me after our hot night together, but they didn’t realize you can’t destroy something that’s already broken. And it only works if the victim cares. Which I don’t. Because I’ve been in … cares.
Which I don’t.
Because I’ve been in hell for years, and nothing penetrates the steel walls I’ve erected.
Until The Sainthood decides I belong to them and cracks appear in my veneer. Their cruel games, harsh words, and rough touch awakens something inside me, and now, I’m in trouble.
They draw me deeper into their dangerous world, until I’m in the middle of all the violence and gang warfare, tangled up in all the secrets and lies, and there’s no turning back.
Because they own me.
And nothing has ever felt so right.
I’m exactly where I should be.
But with enemies on all sides, survival becomes a deadly game with no guarantees.
And, sometimes, saints become sinners.

Wowww! This book was interesting! Had me hooked from beginning to end. The secrets, lies and betrayal! Harlow is bada** and I love her. The sainthood boys kind of grew on me except for Galen. I can’t wait to read the next book!
I loved this soo much! I can’t wait for the next one.
The story is so well written and the characters are awesome. I love how Harlow is so strong and independent. She is quite possibly my new favourite female main character!
If you love a good bully romance then I’d definitely give this a go!
It’s becoming harder and harder for me to really sink my teeth into books these days and Siobhan Davis has always been one that has easily captivated my attention. However it has taken me quite a bit to get into Resurrection.
I don’t believe it has anything to do with her writing ability at all, but more me not being in the mindset for it. The beginning of this book (and series) starts off with a bang. … pun intended 😉 and things are twisty turny throughout.
I’m looking forward to reading from the beginning again now that my mind is ready for it and all it has to bring!
Resurrection was a heart stopping five star read and book one in The Sainthood – Boys of Lowell High series. I was pulled in right from the beginning and didn’t stop until I finished.
Saint, Galen, Caz and Theo OH MY!! The first scene that we meet these hot men will leave you hot and bothered and your kindle melting.
Harlow’s father has died in a terrible accident. She is drinking and searching for her boyfriend, she needs him to help her forget for awhile, but unfortunately she finds him with another woman. She ends up hiding in a room where Galen and the others from the Sainthood were playing cards. Needless to say that these four hotties give Harlow exactly what she needed and OMG it was great.
She is starting a new school where fortunately her bestie is also going to school. She was expelled from private school, due to a video getting out of her evening with the Sainthood. She gets another shocker when she sees The Sainthood walking into school and claiming her in front of everyone. They continue to make her life horrible but yet she can’t help but feel some attraction towards them.
There are some shocking twists, some involve her mother that will leave you thinking WTH.
There is so much going on in this great book that I don’t want to give anything away. Just when you think you have things figured out you get thrown off once again. I love Harlow and her strength, her father had trained her to be strong and how to take care of herself. The boys are all great in their own rights dark, evil and sexy as heck. And be aware there is a heck of a cliff hanger that will leave you with you in shock. I anxiously looked further hoping for a teaser for the next book but wasn’t so lucky. I need the next book ASAP, I need to know what is happening next. Thank you Siobhan Davis for another shocking read that has so much going on.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
After finishing the book, I can honestly say I enjoyed the ride the author took me on. The beginning was somewhat confusing and I wondered how and when it would come together. She didn’t disappoint me in any way.
If you’re backing away from the words “Reverse Harem”, DON’T! This book is different than any RH I’ve read. I’m not fond of them but Davis approaches it in a different manner than any other I’ve read.
Harlow Westbrook’s life is imploding all around her. Her dad was murdered and she has to wonder just how deeply he was involved in gang life. She can’t just wallow in her grief, she has to go somewhere and stop thinking. When she makes her way to a party where she expects to find her boyfriend, she runs into The Sainthood instead. Saint Lennox, Galen Lennox, Theo Smith and Caz Evans are junior members of the gang that holds considerable power over their school and the streets. But Harlow has a secret that they are going to learn involves each of them. In fact, her secrets run much deeper than that and she can’t let anyone know that she is going to avenge her father. Before his death, her father had made sure that Harlow was prepared to take care of herself, defensively, but her survival is going to depend on much more than that. When the Sainthood claim her as their own, life gets more complicated, messy and loyalties aren’t clear. With a powerful connection to the four guys, especially Saint, she has to take care that it doesn’t cloud her judgment. Things are getting dangerous for her and she’s being taken to someplace safe….. Perfectly placed cliffhanger!
Mind blowing, Devoured it!!!
This story is immense. A truly epic read. It had my gripped on the edge of my seat from page one. I cannot recommend this book more. I honestly can’t wait for the second book. A well deserved 5 star read.
Harlow’s in a world of pain from her father’s passing when she spends the night with Saint, Galen, Caz, and Theo, and changes her world. Not necessarily for the better, though. Or is it?
I realllly want to do a chatty review, but for the sake of spoilers, I’ll leave it short and just say that Resurrection is just as dark and twisty (and just as good) as Siobhan’s Rydeville Elite series, with even more action and over the top craziness. I’m still not sure what to think of the 4 lead guys, but I can safely say I love Harlow. She’s tough, smart, and literally kickass. She has all kinds of training and she’s not afraid to take charge and kick ass. My kind of woman! Of course there’s a crazy af cliffhanger, though, so now I’m dying with anticipation as I wait for Rebellion to land on my Kindle!
DENISE’S DREAMY REVIEW
This isn’t my first book by Siobhan Davis and the moment I knew she was coming out with a dark, RH romance, I WAS ALL OVER IT. Okay, I figured out pretty late in the game, but still, I was like OH MY GAH, YES!
I enjoyed her Ryderville High Series (which is NOT RH), but she truly blew my mind with that one! So naturally, I had high hopes for this brand new series she has up here sleeve!
Resurrection has a prologue that sucks you the hell in right from the start! It’s everything you would want: mystery that lingers on, so you want to keep turning those pages and hot AF group sex that will melt your Kindle!!
But as you read, you see a clear connection that Harlow has with one of the Sainthood and that’s where I’m thrown off. I love RH and that prologue seemed to make me think that this WOULD definitely be an RH, but it was pretty apparent as you continue to read that it may not be the case. For me personally, it felt like it was a guy who was only willing to share the heroine with his friends on HIS terms/will allow it. And also when she was just out to put it in his face… That’s not what I expected at all.
Don’t get me wrong, the sexual scenes were always HOT and I did enjoy the storyline for this book, but I just had a hard time looking over the fact that it isn’t reverse harem, especially when those were my expectations! I’m all for sexual tension between hero/heroine, bullying and over the top drama that is seemingly unrealistic, and a cast of characters that will keep you intrigued, mystery that carries from beginning to end, and wanting to know so much more, but it truly was hard for me to overlook the part where this wasn’t reverse harem for me.
I truly do believe that without having that high expectation, I’d love this book ten times more and what I was getting into… especially with such an amazing prologue like that! I LOVE Siobhan Davis, her writing style, and books I’ve read by her previously. It doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy this book, but I just had such hopes for something more.
I’m writing a review like this because for those who love RH, like me, the experience their looking for may not be there. But I would still urge anyone to read this book, if it interests you! It’s definitely worth it! I personally will continue to read this series because even with my issue, I’m dying to see if Davis’ changes the dynamic between Harlow and the Sainthood, and just see how this series continues in general! I did enjoy everything else about it, so there’s that!
Three and a half dreamy stars:
Riveting, surprising, sometimes disturbing and sometimes scary, this book kept me reading, sometimes cringing, sometimes open-mouthed. I’ve been reading Siobhan Davis for a long time, and I’m proud to say she’s perfected her voice. Her writing is tight, always dramatic as is her signature, and fast-paced. Add in this book that is riveting, mostly because I just didn’t know where it was going to go.
This is a tale about revenge, and it happens in a crowd of high school seniors, eighteen years old. The incredible part, which is what kept me gobsmacked, is that there are gangs, they are enemies fighting for control of schools and towns, and there’s murder and mayhem, even within the younger crowd.
I felt hard for young Harlow Westbrook, who seems to be fighting a lone battle against the baddies. I cringed at some of the sexual promiscuity, because I would expect that a girl that age would still be living a life full of dreams and possibilities, not fighting for survival and freedom, and using sex as a survival tool.
In the beginning, I had an ick feeling because the story felt so sleazy and Harlow was very bad@ss and bitchy, but as I got invested into the plot and started liking Harlow, my feelings changed. I realized that Harlow is a good girl, with good feelings, she’s just a result of her circumstances and she’s dealing as best as she can. She shows her tender feelings with her bestie Sariah, and her friends Sean and Emmett. She’s another type of girl with the others, because she’s on her guard and fighting for her life and revenge.
The story felt surreal, like the author used her very creative imagination, and made up a world where there’s organized evil, with all the stuff mafia does, and in control of the country. It’s enough to get paranoid! Different from previous books, this one felt very real, although I hope and pray it’s not based on reality. As expected, it ends in a cliffhanger, and right at the most explosive part. I hope for two things: that the sequel comes soon, and that the author will write a nice, lovely angsty story next. I don’t think my nerves can take all this danger and mayhem and suspense.
This story started out Hot Hot Hot!! Then it cooled down to a nice mid-boil temps, lol. The story is raw, gritty and darkish and not at all high school. I ignored tgat fact and had no trouble enjoying the plot. I loved the dynamics of the characters and how the author slowly revealed secrets.
There is a lot going on here. Many characters, relationships, gangs and loads upon loads of secrets. If you are one who doesn’t like to wait for the full story I strongly suggest you wait until book two releases. This ends in a cliffhanger and only about 30% of the mystery/secrets are even touched upon here (that number is a wild guess). Great characters, hot chemistry, interesting plot.
I have no idea where to start with the review. Resurrection doesn’t fit into one category, there are so many things great and WRONG with this story that it makes you not want to put it down. So first off this is a reverse harem (sometimes), bully romance (all the time), really dark, mystery, messed up read.
The boys Saint, Galen, Caz, and Theo are confusing. Even to the very end, I have yet to figure them out. They are mean, dangerous, smart, and very protective of what is theirs. They have an end game for everything they do but nobody knows the end game.
Harlow is the biggest surprise in this story. From the very beginning of the book, she has that don’t give a sh*t attitude. Which with her history explains a lot. But over time you learn that not everything is as it seems. You will come to love and hate Harlow at the same time. The decisions she sometimes makes, makes you wonder what the heck is going on in her head. She needs someone in her corner to help her but she doesn’t seem to have that- adult wise.
I am so in love with these characters and invested in them already that I want book two NOW. I will be rereading this book again just to make sure I didn’t miss anything before book two comes out!
Holy!!! This book, I devoured it in just a couple of hours. So so so so good. I like em dark and this is for sure that. Everything was taken up to a whole nother level, the sex was hotter, the bullying was meaner, the tension was higher. This book is exactly what you want when you are reading a reverse harem bully romance. The characters are tough nuts to crack.
This has to be one of my more favorite of Siobhan Davis book, seriously ever. I cannot wait to talk about this book to everyone with ears. I loved the world that Ms. Davis brought forward with this book, it’s dark, gritty, and not nice at all. Just the way I like it. So for anyone in to this trope. This book is for you.
Resurrection is similar to Cruel Intentions, also by Davis. So, if you enjoyed Cruel Intentions by Davis, you’ll enjoy Resurrection. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Rydeville Elite series, so I was a little apprehensive in accepting the ARC of Resurrection. I am happy to say that I enjoyed Resurrection much more than Cruel Intentions for one simple reason: Resurrection does not feature as much abuse as Cruel Intentions.
Resurrection has convinced me that bully romances are not for me, regardless of the author. I don’t find bully romances exciting or hot. Instead, they’re abusive in the worst ways possible and make me cringe. The best way to describe my like of these types of novels is that I was instantly more attracted to a tertiary character as a love interest than the four Davis set up.
As for the reverse harem aspect of the novel, I was slight disappointed. The only other reverse harem novel I’ve read was Surviving Amber Springs, also by Davis. While Surviving Amber Springs is a vastly different novel than Resurrection, I found that the relationship between the main character and the love interests didn’t resemble a relationship between multiple people, instead it came off as a regular relationship that just so happens to have a love interest who doesn’t mind sharing.
There’s a lot of subterfuge happening throughout the novel. There were a few moments I was confused as to what was happening because readers are left in the dark. The ending sequence doesn’t play out as smoothly as it could because of the gap in information between the characters and the reader.
The biggest criticism I have of Resurrection is the main character. She’s almost a carbon copy of the main character from Cruel Intentions. You could switch them out and not notice a difference. Both are damaged in some way, competent, delegated to lesser roles by the men around her, and abused.
Overall, Resurrection is a decent bully romance, but doesn’t lean into the reverse harem aspect as much as I would have liked. Will I be continuing with the series? No. I was hoping the reverse harem aspect would change my opinion of the bully romance genre, but instead it cemented my dislike.
***I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
WOW! This book was AMAZING!!!!! I loved it! Had me on the edge of my seat. I love a good drama with a ton of suspense, with a hefty dose of sexy men and sexual frustration. This book had that in doses!
Harlow was a spitfire. She was not a scared little church mouse. I love when authors write heroines like that. And the boys. Oh man THE BOYS…I MEAN MEN. Because those were NOT boys. Saint, Galen, Caz & Theo had my heart beating fast and my skin sweaty during the entire book. Without saying much more and spoiling the book, I will just say this book needs to be read and devoured and I NEED THE SECOND BOOK NOW. Because,
HOLY
CLIFFHANGER
5 stars.
This author has done it again!! I absolutely freaking love this book! I love RH and when this author decided she would write a book containing RH I was all over that.
Harlow has been training for years to take down the ones who took so much from her when she was younger. At 13 she was kidnapped and made a pawn in a madman’s sick and twisted games. A few years later another tragedy befalls her and changes everything. Harlow, Saint, Caz, Theo and Calen are phenomenal characters. I love the love-hate relationship between them. This book is raw, gritty and hard and I loved every minute of it. Be warned, there is a major cliffy with this book and I can’t wait until April!!
My Rating: ****1/2
Type: Series. Book 1
Genre: Reverse harem dark romance, bullying themes, thriller, Romantic suspense, YA
Narration: Single POV
Primary Characters: Saint, Galan, Caz, Theo & Harlow (Lo)
Source: ARC – Courtesy or Author/publisher
4.5 Stars Sainthood boys and 5 Star Harlow
Resurrection is the first book in “The Sainthood – Boys of Lowell High #1”. It’s YA, reverse harem with bullying theme romance novel.
Harlow’s entire life is changed when her father dies in an accident. The day her father died she is trying to numb the pain with vodka and thinks of needing sex with her boyfriend Darrow. She goes searching for him at a party in rival gang. She finds him with other girl, she thinks it’s a chance to end her relationship with Darrow and end up meeting and taking help of sainthood (Saint(leader), Galen, Theo and Caz).
After 4 months of this and changing school and entering her senior year Harlow has her own plans. On the first day in new school she realizes even Sainthood boys have changed schools and moved to Lowell. She realizes her problem doesn’t end there as her mom Giana is getting married to Neo who is Saints dad and they all move to her home. Now her plans are altered as she is facing difficult situation with boys in both school and home.
Everyone knows The Sainthood controls the guns and drugs on the streets and that they are behind most of the violence and unsolved murders.
Now all Boys have set their sights on her. Neo (Saint’s dad) who is president of Sainthood have also set his sight on both her and her mom. What exactly are the boys looking for? Harlow is ready for the boys and all other situation. Her dad has prepared her for this day as much as he could because she is one tough cookie and has weaponry experience and is not afraid to go head to head with anyone!
Saint is a dominant male character who will do anything to tame wild woman but then he’ll learn he found someone who is equal to him. Caz is totally cute, funny, laidback and ready to party, lovely guy. Galan is secretive and angry one and the most difficult to read. Theo is Gem- Silent, brooding and Geek. He reminded me of Sawyer in Rydeville Elite.Emmett was totally lovely as Harlow’s her new friend, he has lot of potential, hoping to see him more in action in next books. Sariah was good as a best friend of Harlow.
The storyline was utter perfection, our heroine was badass. Totally loved Harlow. She doesn’t have a problem to show everyone that she is not scared and she doesn’t need a prince charming to save her. The way she owns up and takes responsibility is top notch. It was difficult to decide which one was more fitting for her as I just enjoyed their different personalities.
The twist, turns, secrets, and lies in this book I never knew what was going to happen next. Every secret exposed led to another to uncover. Everyone had a secret and a motive for doing what they were doing.
Plot had me turning pages trying to get the answers I so desperately needed. Mysterious captivating and addictive suspenseful bully romance. I’m anxious for the next book.

The brilliant Siobhan Davis is at the top of my very favorites list, as there’s just something perfect about all of her stories, though most of them have set me off like crazy because of some douchey douche hero or anti-hero. She takes me from the lowest of lows to highest of highs, so to me, it’s so much talent it’s unreal. Resurrection of the start to a new darker series by this brilliant author, and HOLY HELL! While I generally don’t read reverse harem or any harem romance to be honest, I knew that Ms. Davis would totally make me fall in love with that trope (only by her of course). Per usual, I don’t really want to get into a ton of details, so will just highlight a few things. The heroine, Harlow, is bad a**, though not sure she believes that since she’s just numb to things after a horrible event in her life. So when the 4 hotties, albeit big time bullies, took interest in her after a super hot night, she didn’t really care what they did to her, as they just weren’t that important in the grand scheme of her life, until they were or were they ever?! It made for some big & intense push & pull, a great deal of rage from me, not to mention those sparks that I totally wanted to ignore since those hotties were just cruel not to mention very dangerous. Twists were all turned out, while turns were all twisted into big balls of chaos, so all I could do was drop f-bombs until that ending. It had me dying inside because this author can do a crazy OH MY HELL cliffy which makes me hate her while all the while loving her. So, don’t miss out, just hit that one click button as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Amazing!
I love RH, I love bully romance and I love Siobhan’s writing so when all three come to together it’s just awesome!
The guys are swoon worthy and I can’t wait to see their relationship with the MC grow.
That cliffhanger I need book two as soon as possible!
