The Montgomery Ink series continues with the so-called sensible sister and the one man she never should have fallen for.For Thea Montgomery, baking isn’t only therapeutic, it’s also her dream job. She’s worked countless hours keeping her bakery afloat, and now that it’s where she wants it to be, she’s ready to expand and take the next step. When it comes to work and her family, she’s on top of … top of her game. Her personal life, however, is a different story.
When Dimitri Carr isn’t teaching and hiding his ink under long sleeves to keep the bosses happy, he’s trying to be the best brother and friend he can be. After his divorce, he’d thought he would lose Thea from his life forever because she’s his ex-wife’s best friend. But now that he’s free, and the two of them realize they want to keep their friendship. Then he finally sees what he’s been missing all this time.
But there are more problems than the fact that Dimitri is Thea’s best friend’s ex. And when accidental touches and flirtations aren’t enough for either of them, and they’re finally ready to take the next step, they’ll find out exactly what that cost is for crossing that line. And will need to find the strength to face it.

Oh my! What a book, did not see that happening till just at the chapter, loved how it ends, looking forward to the next book! Well done Carrie Ann for a book that I couldn’t put down!
This is a great story, it kept me up too late so I could finish. I enjoyed getting to know these characters and follow along on their journey. The author does a great job of bringing the reader into the story. I don’t want to say too much for fear of giving anything away. It’s a great story in a great series.
Another good Montgomery Ink world book. I loved it, however it did not hook me from the beginning. It started off slow, but don’t let that stop you from reading. Once it picked up I did not want to put it down. The road to Thea and Dimitri’s HEA was very rocky. Part of the outcome was predictable, no spoilers, but others left me saying what the heck.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Restless Ink is sweet, sexy and sometimes sad but ultimately a true pleasure to read. What happens when a married couple breaks up and you are friends with both partners? What happens if after a time you start looking at your friends ex as your possible future? This book deals with just such a dilemma. The fact that Thea and Dimitri are perfect for each other only complicates things. I don’t think I’ve ever said “oh my” to myself while reading a book in so many different ways as I did while reading Thea and Dimitri’s story. Well done Carrie Ann Ryan.
Loved this friends to lovers romance with a psycho ex/friend thrown in giving them all kinds of good/bad vibes and watching how Thea and Dimitri work thru the ups, downs, twists and turns and get their ICING was AWESOME
This is another good addition to this series. I really liked Thea and Dimitri. I liked how they were open and honest with everyone and I liked seeing favorites from previous books. There was an awful lot of internal monologue and I felt like some of it was repetitive.
I loved how real world Restless Ink was in Thea and Dimitri’s relationship! Both friends, trying to exist and expand their current lives (no millionaires here), strong family, and a great dog! What more could you want? Oh, there’s more. It wouldn’t be a Montgomery traditional relationship starter if there wasn’t more. Gawd I love these characters and books! Get ready to devour in one sitting.
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
This is a standalone novel in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs series. This particular book focuses on baker, Thea Montgomery and her love interest – Dimitri Carr. Dimitri is the ex-husband of Thea’s best friend.
Of course these two didn’t start out attracted to one another. Time and some distance help them see each other in a different light. There were some parts to this story I thought were overly obvious and that drove me crazy. Thea is 100% stubborn and lives in her own little world. I can completely sympathize with that though…sometimes I think I’m living in a bubble and the world just passes by me w/o me even noticing.
Definitely add Restless Ink to your reading list. I’m sure you’ll enjoy Thea and Dimitri.
I love the Montgomery family! Restless Ink is a friends to lovers with a twist thrown in for good measure. I loved Dimitri and Thea and am glad we got their story. Can’t wait for Jagged Ink!
I love this story!! I love emotions between Thea and Dimitri!! Their struggle is real! I am loving this series!!
I loved Thea and Dimitri’s story. Their friendship leads to so much more than either of them expected. Molly may have been Thea’s friend but she was constantly being catty and passive aggressive to her. I really loved the proposal, it was such a sweet moment. They went through so much in such a short time that they deserve to be happy. Look forward to more Montgomery and Carr family stories.
Restless Ink was so good!!! I love this series!! Dimitri and Thea’s story was so intense! I can’t wait for Roxie and Carter and hopefully Dimitri’s siblings!!!
Thea and Dimitri stressed me out, but in a good way. I didn’t see how they could make everything work, it seemed, at first glance, insurmountable. In the end, it really was quite simple, but then again, when things work out, that is usually the way. Also, I was so worried about Captain, that something bad was happening to him, I just couldn’t have handled that. It doesn’t appear that was the case, so I am super pumped about that too!
Thea and Dimitri had been friends for years, but once he was over his divorce, there was a spark there that had never shown before. Trouble is, his ex is also one of her best friends. The ex seems okay with it though, so they keep exploring. Trouble is, not everything is at it seems, and some problems run deep and are hidden, even from the person involved. This was a different, and more suspenseful because of it. Not all solutions have easy fixes, but, love finds a way to keep our couple together and get their HEA!
Restless Ink is the 2nd book of 3 in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs series. MI: CS is a continuation of the Original MI cousins.
Thea & Dimitri are such a great fit. I really loved this book. Each of the Montgomery Ink (& spin-offs) books gets that much better and leaves me on edge waiting for the next couple to meet their match.
Thea is running her own bakery, just a few doors down from her sister & brothers tattoo shop MI2. While trying to expand her business Thea is stuck in the mile of two divorced friends – Molly & Dimitri. She’s trying to repair her friendship with Dimitri but is finding herself with more that a friendship on her hands, and the guilt is going to get to her.
Dimitri is finding it harder and harder to stay away from Thea. He’s never had feeling for her before, but is now seeing her in a different light. Having been left with few friends after the divorce, and trying to settle into what is now his new life, Dimitri starts hanging out with Thea’s family and friends leaving them with lots of time to get to know each other again.
Love the Montgomerys!! Thea Montgomery has put everything into her bakery and it’s her whole world, aside from he family. She has tried dating, but she doesn’t have that spark with anyone until she runs into Dimitri again! He was one her closest friends, until he divorced her best friend. Now there is chemistry there, for both of them, and it’s hard to resist. They want to take a chance, but also don’t want to her his ex/her friend. Things seem to going well, but when hinky things begin to happen and Thea is put in danger they begin to wonder who or what is out to get them. This is fast paced, suspenseful, sweet and sexy all wrapped up into one fabulous story!!
