Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who called a corrupt kingdom home sweet home. Protected and sheltered from the worst the world had to offer, she fell in love with the crumbling city that burned and blazed around her. Every dirty corner, every scary shadow, found a place within her heart. So did a man who was violent and dangerous, just like the streets she claimed as her own. … claimed as her own.
He was all business and brutality, except when it came to her. With her, he was calm, caring, and heartbreakingly patient.
He warned her over and over that he wasn’t the man for her, but she refused to listen. She never expected either the streets or their enforcer to hurt her, since she’d given her heart so completely to both.
She should have known the streets in the Point were always going to be savage, and so was the man committed to keeping control of them in the hands of criminals and bloody kingpins.
Blindsided by a betrayal which cut so deeply she was sure the wounds would never heal, the princess fled the home she loved and the man who broke her heart. Throwing away her rusted, twisted crown was supposed to help her forget. All it did was make her long for everything she left behind. She told herself she would never go back, but in this tormented kingdom, family is everything. Eventually, she has no choice but to return.
While she was gone, the people who loved her worked hard to make the city safe, and the man who destroyed her sank deeper into the darkness. Going back shouldn’t feel like surrender… but it does. As this pretty princess hovers on the edge of the unknown, the past attacks with a vengeance. It’s a good reminder that puppy love eventually grows up and turns into something with sharp teeth and one hell of a bite.
She never asked for the keys to the kingdom. She’d much rather go out and build her own.

I have been waiting for Booker and Karsens story for what seems like forever, but I knew with it would come the end of one of my favorite series. It was a bitter sweet experience for sure but could not have been better written
Jay Crownover ended the series with such powerful characters and emotions. I felt every emotion from the characters. I had been waiting for Karsen and Booker’s story and their love story was even more than I was expecting!! My heart broke for them and then was put back together by the end! Loved every minute reading about their love!
Respect was my favorite out of the Point series. Jay saved saved the best for last. Karsen and Noah chapter 13. Love this book.
I loved this book. I waited for this couples’ story for a while and it was worth the wait. It was a beautiful love story. This book, this series and this author are awesome. I can’t recommend them enough.
All of Jay’s books are crafted and written with so much depth, so it is no surprise that this was an epic ending to the series.
I particularly loved all the subtle tie-ins to the other books in the series as well as the direct tie-ins.
My favorite quote from the book… Love convinces us there’s no line we can’t cross for the people we care about.
Thank you, Jay, once again, for reminding me why I love to read.
5 Noah Freaking Booker Stars!
I cannot believe this story was almost not written! I’m sad that it’s the end of this series, but THIS is the couple, I needed to read about the most. RESPECT, is by far the best story of this series…and I love Jay Crownover, all the more for making it happen, despite having her publishing company not backing it. She listens to her fans, and more than delivered on this one!
I’m telling you when I read Booker’s back story, I felt like I’d been kicked in the guts! I just want to hold him, and rock him, and love on him! I melted at his devotion for Karsen, from the very beginning. His character gave me all the feels! Karsen’s love for Noah, went far beyond perception. As hurt as she was, even before she knew the truth…she loved him fiercely. I just FLOVED these two!!!
The final epilogue, to the extended epilogue…this series ended epically! Thank you, Jay Crownover!
What should I write when I don’t know how describe with my words Respect by Jay Crownover? I can’t say anything because I’m still in after-Respect-coma, and because this book is everything…
Jay is one of my favorite author for ages. She’s THIS author which I buy every book no matter what, without knowing what’s inside.
Till today I thought that nothing can be better than Marked Men Series and Honor by Jay…. Yeah that’s what I have thought till reading Respect.
Jay is master in writting about anti-hero men.
Why?
She doesn’t write only about oridinary dirty men, who are full of themselfs… Jay’s boys or men as You like, always have some tough story behind… Jay’s women always know how to give those men rough times, and for that I love them so much 😉
I knew Karsen since I read about her in Welcome to the Point series… and I have hope that some day Jay will give me her story. This waiting was soo long.
Karson… little girl with heart on her hand… She’s so sweet, that it’s imposible to not love her back. As young woman she’s independent, who knows exactly what she wants from life.
After reading prologue, I wanted to throw this book away… because Booker made me really mad. How he could be such a big bastard with cold heart? Then… I continiued my reading and starting to feel something more, because Booker is broken boy who only need to loved… I couldn’t do anything more than fell for this anti-hero man.
Karsen and Booker story isn’t always full of pretty roses but that’s the reason why I love their book so much. They was just … so real.
Life can be cruel,
Life can take everything from us,
but
Life can be full of suprises,
Life can give You good people on Your way,
and what’s the most importatnt…
Life can give You love,
love which can heal broken heart and LIFE.
Dear Jay Crownover… I’m not so good with MY word as You are with Yours, but You can be sure – in this review I leave all my heart to tell that Respect is wort every reader time, and because I love it so much.
I loved this book. I think Jay did a wonderful job in ending this series. Karsen and Booker were amazing to read and amazing to finally find out all about. Don’t get me wrong the first 10 pages I wanted to reach inside the pages and strangle Booker but in the end I fell in love with him, and Karsen proved to be a strong, independent women. Love this series a very sad to see it go. Recommend to anyone who loves a good read with love and a little bad in it.
I have been a reader of Jay’s since Rule released. She was one of my first kindle books and I have read everything she has put out since then. I’ve anxiously awaited this novel because I was so attached to these characters from the get go.
While we all knew what was coming with this book, the hurt, joy, love, loss, and the journey all took me by surprise. Learning about the past of the elusive Booker– who we have gotten to know throughout the other five books in the series– gutted me. I felt my heart break with his and I felt it build back up with each page I turned. Karsen was something else. I had no idea just how much I wanted her to have what she wanted and I wanted her to get it at any cost. Karsen’s character growing before everyone’s eyes has been a journey through the other books that doesn’t disappoint here.
I finished this in a day, I really wish I could go back and read it again because this was the perfect way to wrap up all things point. I still want more Point, but that’s because I don’t think i’ll ever feel like the Point’s story is ever done. So much changes with every little thing these characters do. But this gave me all the feels and closure for a series that was ending. I can’t wait to see what Jay comes up with next.
I cannot say enough about how great the Point and Breaking Point series are. It is gritty and dark and I have loved everything about it. In this last story we get Karsen and Booker’s story. We have seen both of these characters throughout the series so their story is a fitting way to finish it off. Jay is one of those authors that writes these strong alpha men that need an equally strong woman.
This story has suspense and danger, but also these wonderful moments of tenderness and intense chemistry. The perfect balance! I will miss this world that Jay has created, but can’t wait to see where she takes us next!
This is the epic series finale to one of my favorite series. One minute you hate Noah Booker and then next thing you know he’s your new book boyfriend. I’m so glad these two got their own book and it was so awesome to catch up with the other characters. Every book this author writes I gobble up.
I would have loved to see this series go on forever. But if it has to end I couldn’t imagine a better way for it to go out. We’ve all loved Booker from the beginning and the curiosity about his past grew with each book. Plus waiting for Karsen to “grow up”. To see what she would become and if she’d get what she wanted (and what we all wanted her to have). Like the other Point books, Respect was edgy, dangerous and beautiful. I hate for this ride to end but I’m so glad I got on it.
Noah and Karsen are the reason I read romances. This couple who had to overcome his past, her well meaning but manipulative family and the crazy stalker made the end worth it. I absolutely loved the epilogue to see how their gritty fairytail played out. I especially loved the bonus epilogue and the romance of it. One of Jay’s best stories ever! After reading the Author’s Note I’m so happy and grateful Jay pushed through to give us Stark and Noe and Booker and Karsen. It shows the passion she has for her stories and characters and that dedication will push me to buy every book she writes. My heart lies with Booker and Karsen.
Love this author
This is the perfect ending to the Perfect series!!
Action packed, steamy and a Taylor Swift Look a like Hooker!!
READ THIS BOOK!!
Texas Hugs and Happy Reading
If I could give a book more than a 5 rating, this would be one I’d give it to. I’ve loved the entire Point series and felt that Booker and Karsen’s story wrapped it all up with a fantastically gritty, shiny bow. Their story was a longtime coming (I have little patience, what can I say?), but the wait was SO worth it.
We still get to see our favorites from the other books, but Karsen proves that she’s learned from the best and baddest men and women around and she works it beautifully. With Booker at her side, they become an unstoppable duo who are intent upon paving their own way in life. Race is still kind of a jerk (as expected), but he’s got heart, so I guess we have to forgive him for his actions.
So, my apologies to the next book I read. Dear next book, it’s not personal. You’ll just pale in comparison to the beauty that is Respect.
Gah! These characters are so easy to get attached to. Their strengths are not money or beauty or prestige. They are strong because of what they’ve endured. It’s made them who they are. They’re gritty and real. They’re fighters. Their weakness might be their fears but they don’t give in. Their family is who they’ve chosen to let in. They’re criminals of varying degrees. They are protectors. Protectors of their chosen families and the downtrodden. They’re using their “skills” to make The Point a better place to live and work and have families. Modern day Robin Hoods even.
And finally the story we’ve seen building for the past few books. Noah Booker and Karsen. It was absolutely worth the wait. Karsen is the spirit of The Point. She’s a fantastic heroine. Booker had so much more depth than I could’ve imagine and he melted my heart. I’m so glad they got the HEA. Nothing was easy about it with the manipulation, the hurt, the fears and insecurity. But, truthfully, it made the story so much better because they survived; they fought back; they fought for each other.
And the epilogue?! Karsen is truly amazing and the absolute perfect match to Noah.
And the survival epilogue?! Thank you Jay Crownover for giving us more Bax and Dovie!!!
I devoured this book, once I started I couldn’t put it down till the end. I laughed, I cried and I fell in LOVE with the Point guys all over again. What a amazing conclusion to this series, I can’t believe it’s over….what a ride.
Finally, we get Booker and Karsen’s HEA! Respect is one of my most anticipated releases this year and it did not disappoint!
I have been so on-board with Karsen and Booker since I read them in Better When He’s Bold and I was so happy that they got their own book. I am a sucker for bad boys and forbidden romance and Respect checked all my boxes!
The first two chapters had me bawling because I totally understood that Booker’s hands were tied. I also empathized with Karsen and felt for her and knew what she had gone through.
Obviously, the chemistry wasn’t lacking here, and I enjoyed reading about them in the other books in the Welcome to the Point and The Breaking Point series. While Respect can be read as a standalone, it is better to read the other books in the series first to get more context on Booker and Karsen’s relationship.
Booker is really an antihero that deserves this redemption and love. His backstory was really horrifying, and my heart broke for him. When he finally fought for Karsen – perfection!
The villain in this book isn’t as scary as the other villains in the series and I wish the villain was on par with the others. Despite that, there was still enough thrills to keep me captivated.
Who knew Noah Booker had a heart. I floved this book. The first 2 chapters sinks it’s teeth in you and takes you for a heck of a ride. Booker comes back in Karsen’s life almost as fast as he went out of it years prior. I love Karsen’s spunk, never knew she had it in her, and how she goes after what she wants. Even taking on big bad men to prove she is worthy of her spot in the point. Chemistry between Noah and Karsen was amazing and I can’t recommend it enough! Bonus to this story is you get a kick ass epilogue that is so damn good! Added bonus is that you get an bonus epilogue and as soon as I started to read the little introduction to it the water works started! Totally was not expecting it and what a treat that Jay took us back to the beginning and gave us a glimpse of the future to a favorite set of characters!
