For years, I’ve shut off my emotions, too scared to bare my heart to someone else. Because the last female I trusted, broke it into pieces and scattered it around for me to pick it up.Work is the only thing that kept my head sane. That is until she walked in. She was no longer a shy teenager, but a beautiful and confident woman. I should’ve known resisting her was impossible. But, it happened too … happened too quickly for me to comprehend.
Arianna Swanson lights my dark world with a simple smile. I see her and I see hope. My heart doesn’t hurt when I’m around her. But she was off-limits. My cousin’s best friend.
I should’ve stayed away because she deserved better. I tried and succeeded until one day, her lips whispered my name. I’m not the man she needed while nursing a broken heart, but I am drawn to her like a moth to the flame.
Then, I caught the web of deception around her and that brings out my protective instincts at full force. And I realize I’m exactly the man she needs now.
This is a standalone HEA romance novel with no cliff-hangers.

This is a great read with an awesome storyline that has well developed and engaging characters that have lots of chemistry. The smooth flow of the storyline makes for a good reading time.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow, Wow, Wow. I so was looking forward to this book and it did not disappoint.
First, this is a stand alone and you will enjoy seeing just how sowing and reaping works. However, to really, really feel and see why karma is so eloquent, reading the first book in this duology is highly recommended.
If you think this will be a simple romance where the victim gets her man, then think again. There is nothing simple about this complexity of plots that twist and turn your psyche as you read. Too many second chance books build some angst with drama and turmoil but never let us see true karma. Here we not only see how and why many of the characters reap what they sowed, but get to feel like we are right in the room with them as it builds and then crescendos . It’s not a fast skim over but a complex cast of characters that fall one by one. Some see their wrong and others ignore it and simply justify it … until they are forced to face the consequences.
BUT…. this book also is all about true love and healed broken hearts. We get to see and feel how fragile love is and how tortured the heart can be when betrayed. Once again, we feel like we’re in the room watching the healing take place, step by step. We experience their pain and they learn to trust again. We commiserate with their tears, and smile at their moments of joy as healing begins and moves forward. And last, but not least, there is forgiveness and redemption…. not for all, but for those who seek it, who want it.
The Moving On Duology … each is a stand alone book, but reading them both will open your eyes and your heart.
