This is my first time reading something by this author but it will not be my last. This was a very enjoyable story. Enzo and Samantha were a lovely couple. Samantha is a single mom with three kids, too busy to think about anything else but her kids schedules. Enzo is in town for a short while and helps her out with some renovations. They connect right away and have wonderful chemistry. I liked watching these two fall in love. It was a great book. This book ends in a cliffhanger, so I’ll have to read the next book to see how things turn out with Sam and Enzo!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Book One of the Resilience Duet series a well written story that kept me turning pages. I enjoyed reading Samantha and Enzo’s story, I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a debut novel and I have to tell you the standard was extremely high some authors with far more books under their belts could learn some lessons. The relationship between Sam and Enzo draws you in and keeps you engaged all the way through the book
Enzo a rescue pilot is on leave and he decides to surprise his father by visiting His father is a contractor working on Sam’s place She is a divorced mother of three. The moment Enzo meets her he is drawn to her but the only thing he has ever committed to is the air force Can he commit to not only a woman but three children as well. We will have to read the second book in this duet Resolution to find out if they get a relationship that lasts.
Samantha is divorced as she found out that he was having affairs and also she is a single mum to three children, she is having her kitchen completely modernised and her life is so hectic but she would not have it any other way as her children always come first as they are her life. Enzo is a pilot in the air force and home on leave so he decides to surprise his dad at work only he is the one that is surprised when he spots a sexy brunette were his dad is doing the renovations. Samantha and Enzo’s chemistry and connection is off the charts hot and so strong but will it be enough for them to have a chance of having a happy ending. Omg i love this book so much and i can not wait to read the next book in this duet. This is the first book that i have read by Amanda Shelley but definitly not the last as it is so well written and a real page turner. I recommend you read this book.

*I was given an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
Oh. My. God. I absolutely loved this book! I loved the characters, Samantha and Enzo, who hit it off from day one and a beautiful relationship grew from there. They we’re both hurt in the past, but after meeting each other, decided to give love another try. I love single-parent tropes and this once definitely didn’t disappoint. If anyone is looking for a sexy, funny, easy to read romance, i highly recommend this one. I can’t wait to read the sequel, Resolution
Congratulations on a beautifully written and enjoyable debut release. This story is filled with so much love and sizzling chemistry. Sam and Enzo burn up the pages. I love the relationship between Enzo and his family and Sam and her children. I loved watching the relationship between Enzo and Sam’s children grow. This book will pull you in from the first page. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading about the rest of their journey in Resolution
This is book number 1 in the Resilience Duet Series. Samantha is a single parent to 3 adorable children that she is too busy checking things off there demanding schedule to have a life of her own. The thing about Samantha is that she doesn’t have time for any distractions and that includes starting a new relationship. Enzo is an elite rescue pilot and is taking some time off and he decides to help Samantha when she is renovating her kitchen. It’s a case of love at first sight for these and the chemistry is off the charts. Can Enzo and Samantha have time for a relationship when he is only in town for a little bit. This book ends on a cliffhanger so we will have to wait for book number 2 to see how it ends for Samantha and Enzo.
This is a good instalove story, that I did enjoy reading. The four stars is only because I wanted there to be more angst to suck you in a little more. Enzo and Samantha have a beautiful instant connection and the storyline was well written. I am looking forward to what is going to happen in the second book.
This is the first book in the Resilience Duet and Samantha and Enzo’s story. Sam and Enzo were wonderful characters with undeniable chemistry and connection, and I fell for them instantly. There was nothing about this book that I didn’t like. It’s an incredible story filled with love, passion, intricate layers, complex characters and a wonderful romance. It has a well written plot, fantastic dialogue brimming with emotion. It’s an absolute must read and I can’t wait to see what happens in book two!
This is the 1st book in a duet form this author and is Samantha and Enzo’s story. Sam is a single mom to her 3 children, and when she decides to have her kitchen revamped, Enzo arrives to surprise his dad, who is her contractor. This is a beautifully written story which is sweet, steamy, and an instant love story. I was intrigued throughout this riveting tale and cannot wait to read #2. I recommend for all.
The chemistry between Sam and Enzo is explosive from the moment his father introduces them. As a divorcée with three kids Sam was not looking for a love interest as she has a life full of owning her business and taking care of her children. Enzo is career Air Force home to see if he wants to retire. Burned in the past he is not looking for love either. Watching them get to know each other and figure out how to become a couple is endearing. Beware this is book one of a duo, however the second book comes out within a month so you will have not time to wait and see how this love story evolves.
This is a beautiful love story that will capture your heart from page 1. Enzo and Samantha are a couple that you will anticipate how their happily ever after will play out. This book is fast paced in emotions. It is not insta-love, but Enzo and Samantha are of the age of knowing what they want and what they deserve. Samantha is a divorced mother of 3 who isn’t looking for love, but Enzo is a force of nature she didn’t see coming. Enzo is a man who’s only committed relationship has been with the Air Force. Samantha was a force to be reckoned with that Enzo didn’t see coming. These two forces coming together are combustible from their first meeting. This is a sweet, contemporary romance that will grab you in the best way possible. The chemistry between these two characters leap off the pages. It is scorching hot! Enzo and Samantha’s friends and family will also capture your heart.
This is an exceptional debut from Amanda Shelley. I can’t wait to read Resolution and more from this author in the future.
Who wouldn’t fall in love with Sam and Enzo. Their attraction for each other was mesmerizing and I couldn’t put the book down. I wanted to know how they were going to intertwine their lives, the single mother of three and the bachelor, together. Could they do it, should they do it and would they do it.
Amanda Shelley creates characters that draw you in and have you wanting more. For a first book release, I am ready to read more and find out what else she has to offer.
Enzo and Sam have such a connection. It was definitely love at first sight because they were together from the moment they met. While I could have used a little more drama and depth to the story I did think it was good. Now give me Resolution so I can see what happens next!
I wrote this review based on an advance reading copy that the publisher sent me.
Resilience by Amanda Shelley was honestly a very refreshing book to read.
It’s a beautiful story about 2 people who have had to work through real life troubles and problems and learned how to be stronger, and how to love. This is a two part series and has a cliffhanger but it is definitely worth the read! I can’t wait to start reading the second part of Samantha and Enzo’s love story.
Didn’t Quite Work for Me
I enjoy romances where the hero and heroine are a little older than typical, so I was looking forward to this romance between a divorced single mother of three children and a near-retirement Air Force pilot. Unfortunately, I was turned off nearly right away by the language. I don’t like profanity at all in any book—except for characterization in rare circumstances, I don’t think it has a place in a well-written book—and this one started off with some. They kept popping up throughout the book, including an occasional F-bomb. I really wish that authors would always state in the book description if their book contains profanity because some of us just don’t like to read books that have it, no matter if the plot or characters sound good or interesting. I was further turned off by the use of the phrase “sex on a stick” to describe the hero. Seriously, what does that even mean? As soon as I see it in a contemporary romance, it’s an automatic rating reduction. I felt like this author went on and on about the attractiveness of the couple. I never like to see that in a story as I find it to be incredibly shallow in real life and believe that fiction—which has no visual element except for what we see in our heads—should rise above such superfluous superficiality. I felt like the characters were too cliched. Some things that both main characters thought were ones I’ve seen a million times in romance. The author didn’t add any new sparkle to old chestnuts or redefine them in terms of her “unique” characters. The characters felt a little flat, actually. So, ultimately, I felt disappointed in this book.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
