“You don’t want to miss this one!”A new cozy mystery series from New York Times and USA Today best-selling Author Diane Capri.Follow former lawyer turned concierge and amateur sleuth Andi Steele and her lovable cats (and dogs) as they catch murderers and solve crimes on historic Frontenac Island, Michigan.Dead bodies. Hunky men. A never-ending parade of demanding hotel guests, quirky villagers, … demanding hotel guests, quirky villagers, cats, dogs, and maybe a ghost.
Andi Steele loved her career as a lawyer, until she got caught in the fallout when her boss embezzled millions from clients. With no good options open to her, Andi accepted the only job she could get, filling in as the concierge at The Park Hotel on scenic Frontenac Island.
She meets the devilishly handsome Mayor Daniel Evans, but she’s in no position to be thinking about romance.
Now all she wants to do is lie low while she waits for the scandal to blow over so she can get her life back on track again.
But lying low isn’t an option when she stumbles across a dead body in the hotel swimming pool closet, a dead body that didn’t get that way naturally.
The local sheriff isn’t handling the investigation to Andi’s satisfaction, so the former legal eagle wades in to add her expertise.
But when the killer has Andi in the line of fire, getting her old life back is no longer a priority. If she doesn’t look out, she might lose the only life she’s got. Permanently.

Hotel concierge and amateur sleuth Andi Steele investigates a murder at her hotel.
Capri, a New York Times and USA Today Best Selling Author, is definitely on her game in this first in series cozy mystery. Capri’s page-turning plot is filled with twists. Her protagonist and secondary characters are quirky, yet very real. And the hotel setting is charming.
All in all, this was a delightful cozy mystery read.
Not representative of Diane Capri’s best works. Plot is slow and the characters are not likeable. Amateurish at best.
Cozy Mystery
Well, this is hard for me to rate. I will average the stars.
The writing style and the overall mystery get 5 stars. The “heroine” , Andi, gets 1 star.
I don’t believe that I have ever read such an arrogant, rude and obnoxious heroine before. I absolutely didn’t like Andi at all.
This is the first time that I have actually really liked a story but won’t continue a series because I just don’t care about the main character.
Diane Capri writes great mysteries and now she has captured me with the new Andi Steele Park Hotel series. This is the first in the series and is what I would call a ‘cozy’ mystery. It was fun to see how Andi handled her new job demotion from lawyer to hotel concierge, plus finding a dead body on her first day.
The interaction of the characters were funny at times and annoying at times, but led the story right along. I’m anxious to follow Andi and her fur babies, Jem and Scout into their next adventure!
Young aspiring and unsuspecting attorney finds herself trying to adjust to a job as a hotel employee. Her legal skills prove to be useful as she soon finds a dead body and takes it upon herself to solve the crime much to the chagrin of the local police.
The characters are interesting and the story moves along to an unexpected conclusion.
i chose this book because of the setting on beautiful Mackinac Island in my home state but didn’t care much for the main character.
Got sucked in to the characters and the story. Loved the series waiting on the next one.
This book was a fun quick read!
This was about an unemployed woman who takes a job at the front desk of a resort hotel and stumbles on a dead body. She decides to investigate and runs into trouble.
Her whiney companion ruins the story line.
Entertaining and easy to read.
good cozy mystery…held my interest until the end
This is not up to the complexity of the characters and storylines of her judge series
Easy to read, too easy. The plot line is great but the way it is written, it’s boring and really slow and repetitive. I got to the fourth chapter and just had to stop! Kept putting me to sleep and I found myself rewriting it in my head. Have read others by this author but, sorry, this was a snooze.
Great beach read
Interesting take on a suspended attorney as a concierge. She is arrogant and more than a bit of an airhead.
A nice easy reading story that will keep you entertained to the very end.
Nothing like a hot page turner to read late into the evening
Cheers

Love the Michigan setting and the Park Hotel!
This is a well written book. The characters and story pull you in.
andi seems ready to b*tch slap just about anybody who stands in her way. either for her true job as a concierge or the self-appointed job of solving the murder. and she has to keep her sauce in check (she is NOT adept at this) and her mind sharp as the hotel and town seem full of oddballs and lunacy…
