Wow, what an imagination this author has! This is the first book I’ve read in this series. It worked as a stand-alone, I believe it would be much better read in order. There are numerous book by multiple authors in this series. I would love to read them all. This book travels from 1347 to 1854, with a brief stop in modern day. It was so interesting how the author pulled it all together. The characters were well written and needed to dig deep in themselves, before they could give themselves to another in love. It was fun to read and was a clean romance.
WHAT IT’S ABOUT
When wits and steel clash, Lord Cottrell and the Heiress of Cassis find their love stretched between five centuries.

1854 England
Lord James Cottrell, the heir apparent to an earldom and Cranewell House estate, wants little to do with the provincial life of Victorian England, preferring to time travel at his pleasure. As an additional diversion, he picks up valuables from various centuries for customers. When he accepts the challenge to bring an elderly relative five hundred years into the future, he instead finds a stunning beauty holding a sword at his throat.

MY TAKE
What a fun addition to this series. James has been in the other books. He’s always been a player and has avoided responsibilities by traveling through time. He’s assured his sister May that he’s no Rake, but he’s not a man to be tied down to any one woman.
Until Isabel holds a sword to his throat. He finds himself drawn to her which pulls him in two different directions. Part of him–for the first time–is willing to consider something longer lasting with her. A part of him still wants to run away. And poor Isabel doesn’t understand his contradictory and hurtful behavior toward her.
Their journey toward their happily ever after spans the centuries. When he finally makes up his mind, he shows just how well he understands her.
The book includes some fun new fae creatures and yummy treats–though the latter might be best eaten with caution.
4 1/2 stars
Jo Noelle has done it again. I absolutely love this story and couldn’t put it down. Love time traveling stories.
I have to start with an apology to the authors, Jo Noelle. When they first sent me this book, I told them that as much as I loved their other books, I didn’t read time travel. They said they appreciated my honesty and to just read the book and give a review. So, I reluctantly agreed. My apologies, ladies, I really did enjoy the book. It kept me entertained and forced me to continue reading to find out what would happen. I won’t go so far as to say it will become my favorite genre, but I am going to have to read more Twickenham Time Travel.
I haven’t read a time travel book in about 50 years but I really loved this one! The fantastic descriptions of the castle and the surrounding village in the 1300s as well as the more “modern” descriptions of England in the 1800s fascinated me. The interactions of Isabel and Lord Cottrell kept me very interested in both time frames! I really enjoyed this story and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
I have always avoided time travel books because I was afraid they would be too choppy and hard to follow. I was pleasantly surprised by this book by Jo Noelle.
This book was not only easy to read, but she painted beautiful settings in each of the eras and places these characters visited. The characters were strong and perfect for each other.
If you’re looking for a sweet and enjoyable read, then I fully recommend this book.
I really enjoyed reading this book.
It’s an engaging & charming
time travel romance.
Shamay, has asked her grandson
& close family friend, James,
to travel to the 14 century.
When they arrived, they were
surprised at who they found.
I loved everything about this story!!

This is the first book by Jo Noelle that I have read and I really enjoyed it! I have read other books in the Twickenham Manor series and I love the time travel idea. I thought this book was really well written and I loved the characters. I loved how the hero had to change to feel he was worthy of the heroine’s love. I thought this was a great book about find out who you are and what you want. I loved how the characters feel in love quickly but it took a while before they felt they were good enough for each other so we saw a lot of growth. I would recommend this book to others.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.
