Rachel works at the school training the students in becoming chefs with the school kitchen/cafe department.
David works in the fire department and has moved next door to Rachel and Sophie.
He’s determined to keep away from women after his ex Britney cheated on him. Desperate to get his twins kimmie & Kyle back he needs help but isn’t sure he should ask Rachel.
Rachel was a truly loveable character her personality and love for her friends shines. David’s love for his twins and wanting to do the right thing has you wanting it all for him.

Another nice story.
This book drew me in because of the chemistry between Rachel and David.
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Rachel and David’s story. Rachel is a high school culinary teacher, and David is a fireman who is on the verge of gaining shared custody of his twins, and these two are neighbours. These two have sizzling chemistry between them but will David take a chance on another relationship? This is a well written story which is sweet, with a tad danger and lots of love, which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all readers.
A delightfully feisty high-school culinary teacher, Rachel reluctantly settles for the friend zone with David, the hunky firefighter-next-door. He’s got his hands full trying to take care of his young twins while wrangling custody away from their hard-partying mother. He doesn’t need another high-maintenance relationship redirecting his priorities. Until his lawyer tells him the best shot he has at custody means doing the one thing he swore he’d never do.
I didn’t like the way David kept pushing Rachel away, but I could understand it. Neither one is oblivious to their intense chemistry. Rachel’s got her own complications, too – someone is vandalizing her property and threatening her at work. It’s a mighty good thing David is well-trained in the rescuing business, although when it comes to taking care of his kids, Rachel’s got a few rescuing tricks as well.
I really enjoyed this story, and fell in love with Kyle and Kimmie almost as fast as Rachel did. I loved the HEA, and the lead-in to the next romance was very nicely done. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
