Renting out the apartment over his garage shouldn’t be a life-changing decision, but when Delta soldier Cormac “Fletch” Fletcher meets Emily Grant, he feels an instant connection. He can’t stand the thought of Emily and her young daughter living anywhere unsafe. Offering cheap rent is a small price to pay for their safety…and Fletch’s peace of mind.
Being a single mother is difficult at best, … at best, but renting the extremely affordable space from Fletch makes Emily’s life a lot easier…until it doesn’t. Suddenly all the money she’s saving thanks to Fletch’s generosity is going into the hands of a blackmailer. And what little food Emily can afford goes to her daughter Annie, so the girl doesn’t go to bed hungry…leaving Emily weaker and weaker.
When miscommunication has Emily assuming Fletch is in on the blackmail, he not only has to gain her trust, but also deal with a man holding a grudge against Fletch and his entire Delta Force team. A task made more difficult when the dangerous man gets his hands on Emily and Annie…
** Rescuing Emily is the 2nd book in the Delta Force Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Susan Stoker has done it again. This is another must read!!
I love Fletcher!!! Just like all of Susan Stoker’s men they are all bad-asses in their own right but what I liked most about Fletch was the relationship he had with Annie. I could go on an on about the hotness happening between him and Emily but what tugged at my heartstrings was the father/daughter relationship that started so early in the book. To watch this big tough guy fall so hard for a 6 year old made me just fall completely in love with him.
I love reading a new series where characters you’ve loved in other books make sneaky appearances!
Emily is looking for a safer place to live to raise her daughter and finds it in Fletch’s garage apartment. For Fletch, it’s the feeling of actually helping someone that he can tell really needs a helping hand. As he gets to know Emily and her daughter, Annie, he’s of course falling for them both! As things are going good for them, an enemy of the guys decides to put his plan into action to make the Delta’s pay for their actions by using Emily and Annie. It’s the guys to the rescue with a little outside help! I loved the romance of Fletch and Emily, but I can’t wait to see if Annie gets a story of her own. She’s going to be an amazing woman with Fletch and Emily as parents with the guys all influencing her! My favorite line in the book….”and the rest of the afternoon was spent with men trained to be lethal killers, playing hide and go see with a six-year-old.”
I throughly enjoyed Rescuing Emily the Delta Force guys are proving to be as good a read as our beloved seals.
A down on her luck heroine that is struggling to provide for her child. A Hero that is captivated by them both and a mentally unstable bad guy. What more could you ask for in a story?
