Renting out the apartment over his garage shouldn’t be a life-changing decision, but when Delta soldier Cormac “Fletch” Fletcher meets Emily Grant, he feels an instant connection. He can’t stand the thought of Emily and her young daughter living anywhere unsafe. Offering cheap rent is a small price to pay for their safety…and Fletch’s peace of mind.
Being a single mother is difficult at best, … at best, but renting the extremely affordable space from Fletch makes Emily’s life a lot easier…until it doesn’t. Suddenly all the money she’s saving thanks to Fletch’s generosity is going into the hands of a blackmailer. And what little food Emily can afford goes to her daughter Annie, so the girl doesn’t go to bed hungry…leaving Emily weaker and weaker.
When miscommunication has Emily assuming Fletch is in on the blackmail, he not only has to gain her trust, but also deal with a man holding a grudge against Fletch and his entire Delta Force team. A task made more difficult when the dangerous man gets his hands on Emily and Annie…
** Rescuing Emily is the 2nd book in the Delta Force Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.
more
I love all the books in this series. This author has a way of holding your attention and building your expectations.
Good book as most of the others by this author.
Good romance
Definitely a page turner…intens and awesome read!
Did not want put it down. This is agree at series to read.
Just a darned good read.
Enjoy this series and have several more. The guys are strong hot alphas but the ladies are strong too, just need some help now and then. Who better to give it than the above. And action as well as romance–got it all.
A great story of a mother trying to raise a child on her own and finally receiving help under duress circumstances. Initially I didn’t quite understand and did not agree with her reasoning for not coming forward with the male character as to the threats. However, following the story line it brought added interest and the story developed into an action packed page turner.
I liked story line. Felt language and some of sex was unnecessary.
Another great addition to the delta series. Susan brings out the natural protector /defender in all her characters. Emily and her daughter soften his hard edges and he falls hard in his efforts to help them.
OK…just a bit far-fetched
I love Susan Stoker and her books. For me they are a must read! The couples are great! This book is no different! You should read all of them!
I enjoy following the different team members in Delta. They all have a different story, who would have thought they would be a bunch of “softies” for Annie.
I appreciate the characters did not just see each other, fall in lust/love and go at it for the rest of the book. Emily shows great character in being a mom and knowing what is most important, and having the whole team create relationships with her and her daughter helped make the romance become real. Great book – thanks
I enjoyed reading this book.
I enjoyed this book. It was an easy read but at the same time it kept my interest. There was romance and a little sex that wasn’t very explicit.
Great easy read, I really enjoyed the characters and story line.
Love all of these Rescuing books. Great, strong, passionate characters.
Love action and adventure and this had a lot of that. Nice love story. The only down about this great love adventure is the use of so much foul language, kind of spoiled the story and I almost deleted this after the first few pages.
I loved the characters especially the little girl Annie she was adorable. The storyline was great and getting to visit characters from previous books to see how they are doing. Recommend it to readers who like military romances.
