Renting out the apartment over his garage shouldn’t be a life-changing decision, but when Delta soldier Cormac “Fletch” Fletcher meets Emily Grant, he feels an instant connection. He can’t stand the thought of Emily and her young daughter living anywhere unsafe. Offering cheap rent is a small price to pay for their safety…and Fletch’s peace of mind.
Being a single mother is difficult at best, … at best, but renting the extremely affordable space from Fletch makes Emily’s life a lot easier…until it doesn’t. Suddenly all the money she’s saving thanks to Fletch’s generosity is going into the hands of a blackmailer. And what little food Emily can afford goes to her daughter Annie, so the girl doesn’t go to bed hungry…leaving Emily weaker and weaker.
When miscommunication has Emily assuming Fletch is in on the blackmail, he not only has to gain her trust, but also deal with a man holding a grudge against Fletch and his entire Delta Force team. A task made more difficult when the dangerous man gets his hands on Emily and Annie…
** Rescuing Emily is the 2nd book in the Delta Force Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

I was fairly skeptical about this story from the foreshadowing in Rescuing Rayne. As it turned out it was a good one although there were some scenes I didn’t appreciate as much as others. The characters were great and the villain truly demented. I loved the little girl Annie.
This whole series and the all of Susan’s other books are great!
You can’t go wrong with a Stoker!
This story made me laugh and cry and swoon with romance. When Fletch finally got his head on straight, it was beautiful to see him fall in love with both Emily and little Annie. Emily was another strong heroine in this series as a single mother doing everything in her power to take care of her daughter as best she could. Absolutely loved this story!
Loved the book. Now reading more books by this author
Not that all believable but definitely worth a try.
Overall I liked the book. The story was somewhat predictable and the end rushed…
Loved it
When did finding an affordable apartment for her and Annie become one of the best days of her life? Being a single mom, Emily Grant worked hard, loved her daughter and kept the two of them safe. There were all sorts of predators around these days; school shootings, men praying on children and kidnappings. Well, not every day but Moms and Dads had to watch over their kids at all times. Fletcher rented her the small place over his garage and it was perfect for them. Hopefully, the story-line of military man going off the rails mentally isn’t one that happens often but it did make a good book. Little Annie all of six years was the heroine in this book and I loved it. I can see why the author wrote more books with her as part of the story. (The one drawback in little Annie’s life was a school shooting that I could have done without in the book.)
fun to read enjoyed the imaginative interaction of these big guys learning to be father figures and how Emily learns to trust them. Always trust your gut and force yourself to be completely straight forward.
I did like this book. Well worth the time. Liked the characters and story development is good. The series is very entertaining.
Lovely roa
mantic read with some suspense
There is some use of strong language, of which I’m not a huge fan. But that being said, the characters are very likeable. the story is riveting, and it is extremely hard to stop reading before you finish. The author has a talent for getting the reader invested in the well-being of the characters. They become your “friends and family”.
Romantic and gripping enough to keep me reading to the end!
I loved this book. Read it. Dreamy.
Good story line. Pornographic. Books should be rated for us who don’t want to read pornography.
Loved the story line with a true hero.
Enjoyed the book, but didn’t care for the ending.
Love this book. The characters and the story line made it a real page turner.
I REALLY CARED FOR THESE CHARACTERS.
