This is the book that started it all!! Fell for every character! Was instantly hooked. Twists and turns where youd least expect! Super huge crushes on the main character will be built!! 🙂
This debut novel has romance, steamy scenes, twists, action, suspense, and a small town setting. St. Klaire has a good writing style and does a wonderful job with transitioning from present to past to present. The main characters are strong and their chemistry is steamy. The hero is strong, sexy, and a gentleman. The heroine is independent, guarded, left by her mother and raised by her best friends Granny Lou. The supporting characters, the “crew”, are enjoyable with their fun, witty banter and dedication to their jobs as well as each other. Eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.
This is my first book by this author and I have to say, I will be reading more! This book is a heartfelt romance with a little suspense sprinkled in. Dawson is an EMT and Sam is a nurse and single mother that does not trust anyone outside of her “family” because everyone leaves. The roll out of the suspense was timed perfectly. I loved the way this author handled the big reveal of the “evil person” and it was a great surprise. This story is realistic and relatable and made my heart feel good.
So Enjoyed
Stephanie writes like you can feel everything the characters in the book feel. He men are Alphas but they have big hearts and the women are strong but they have the softness also. I loved Sam & Dawson’s story.
really liked how the story showed the different character’s POV throughout the chapter. Great read
Loved the whole series!!
Great mixture of mystery and romance. Well developed characters that you will want to revisit. Lots of secondary characters that I am sure will be brought to life by this author.
I enjoyed reading this first in a series book and look forward to reading the next installments.
Very fast paced story kept you interested the whole way.
Definitely too fake. Not well written.
Sorry, couldn’t finish. Too much implied sexual overtones.
Four more books to follow. Looking forward to reading them as well
great book
This was the first book I read from this author. Wonderful characters and action-packed.
This is far beyond a typical run-of-the-mill story. Well worth the time to read.
Great read. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Wonderfully well written.
Reads like it was written by a 4th grader. The premise sounded interesting, but couldn’t get past the long winded descriptions and poor grammar. Don’t waste your money!!
While I liked the premise of the story, I simply could not finish this book. The endless internal dialogue and angst of the characters was exhausting and boring. I got to about 40% complete, and felt like it was never going to end, so I deleted it.
Poor writing – bad grammar, sentence structure, punctuation. Switching from first, second and third person point of view in the same paragraph. Could have been a more interesting read if the author had a basic grasp of writing skills.
I will definitely read more by this author
