Book 3 of Rose Pearson’s series of Standalone Regency Romance Stories, The Duke’s Daughters.Jacintha Seaworth is wise, complex and watchful. A beautiful woman, she nevertheless prefers to sit out from the dances, preferring to watch people and their interactions. She really couldn’t have chosen a childhood friend more different from her than Henry Musgrave, brother to family friend Claudia, and … family friend Claudia, and quite a social ladies’ man.
Now that Jacintha is the next daughter in line to fulfill her father’s wishes of seeing all of his daughters married before his illness takes him, it’s time for her to grow up and actually evaluate her feelings for Henry.
It’s true that Alexander Slate, naval captain and Earl of Highbury, is a much more suitable match, but Jacintha will never be able to deny that there is something there inside of her for Henry. For all his shortcomings, maybe, just maybe, he could become a changed man.
If only the path to love for at least one of the Seaworth daughters could be free of doubt or worry.
Somehow, it doesn’t even look like sweet and kind hearted Jacintha will be spared a dramatic and harrowing road to love.
A story of unexpected love against all odds in the world of Regency era England. “Rescued by an Earl” is the third book of the Duke’s Daughters Series by Rose Pearson. Each book can be treated as its own standalone romance story, and cliffhanger endings are always strictly avoided.

Loved it!
I pretty much like anything by her
Good story and no yukky sex to wade through!
Another heart racing adventure. A love triangle going on here. I don’t want to give away spoilers but, oh my, this may be the best book of the series yet! Wonderful characters and such unexpected twists in the storyline!
Great plot. Enjoyed the characters. Love this writer’s work.
My 1st book by this author. Looking forward to more. Kept me intrigued with realistic characters. Interesting good clean read.
Great story
A Good Book, Beginning to End
The third Duke’s daughter, Jacintha, has a mysterious beginning that draws you in, immediately. It continues keeping you wondering, throughout the book, with an additional story woven in that almost makes you hold your breath. She will find her happiness, once she gets it all sorted out. But it is an intriguing storyline, through and through. It will not disappoint the reader!
Totally Enjoyed This Sweet and Clean Regency Romance

This is a delightful regency romance with some plot twists and some romantic suspense.
It was ok for me. I read the other books in the series and this story held my interest long enough to finish it. Unfortunately, by the time I got halfway through the second book in the series, I noticed the characters seem to “murmur” an awful lot. If they weren’t “murmuring”, they were “muttering” and very often “chuckling”. By the time I got to this third installment, the number of times the author used those three words became irritating and then kind of funny. When my focus turned to counting the number of times the words were used and less on the storyline, the book became less enjoyable for me. I think I would have liked this story (and the others in the series) more had the author switched it up a bit and substituted different words to describe how the characters were speaking.
Engaging characters to read about.
It is another in a series, so there is some continuity of characters. The plot moves along nicely, and although predictable in outcome, the journey provides an enjoyable read.
Looks can be deceiving and deadly.
Sorry—I started this and it was so stereotypical that I couldn’t stand it. I know there is a formula to the romance genre but the author added nothing fresh or interesting.
Loved this book. Couldn’t put it down.
Was slow and repetitive at first, I almost put it down. But then, a burst of action at the last of the book. With that said, I wouldn’t read again and I wished the descriptions would warn us of the content of books like movies do. Though no actual rape is committed, the author did take us to the edge of it. Which is not something I want to read about personally.
Misleading title. Won’t read this author again as she apparently doesn’t know the difference between titular ranks—pretty basic for a Regency.
Loved the whole series. Easy read, lovely characters. Got hooked on book one had to read The Whole series
Lady Jacintha is wise, complex, watchful, and beautiful. Her father is ill, and it is time for her to marry. She plans to have a marriage of convenience. She will evaluate her feelings for her childhood friend Henry, who is a brother to one of her friends, a future earl, and quite a ladies’ man. Alexander, a naval captain and an earl, is more suitable for Jacintha, but she is attracted to Henry. She is hopeful Henry will become a changed man. – I liked the characters, and the mystery surrounding Alexander was interesting. I believe the author was true to the time, but the characters seemed stiff. There was no sizzle or chemistry.
The book is good, sweet and with a plot. Not too original but the characters are fine and you can easily connect with them. ….And he is not an Earl….I recommend this book…..
