The adjectives to describe this book would be solid, tough, resilient and amazingly tender and patient. I finally was able to celebrate with the characters in the end but there was so much adversity before getting there.
I enjoy the “Scothish” books & appreciate the research doen by the writers.
I thought the writing was slow. A lot of violent abuse towards the Heroine. A little too much as making it unrealistic and then her overcoming all of it in the end. Not believable.
Kept the hardcopy to read again.
Different but good!
The first of an ENTIRE world that just keeps coming!!! LOVE THEM ALL!!!
I liked the way Alex was able to show compassion to a rape victim. I think both of the main characters were a little extreme with Alex screaming frequently and Madeline with an excessively high pain tolerance. I still enjoyed the read.
First book to a truly great series!
good story but too sexual in places. Enjoyed the fast moving pace.
this was a good book
A lot of drama, but it was still a good book.
Great book and audio version couldn’t stop listening
This was a fun read with a nice twist!
It is so sad to read how cruel abusive people can treat people they should be caring for.
I love this type of book . Keeps you interested
Not super well developed characters, but a quick, fun read.
Don’t read this if you expect a believable story and like a good thoughtful plot. This was very trite….I did a lot of eye-rolling. If you like an easy read, damsel in distress, knight in shining armor, predictable outcome….then this one is for you.
A great rescue from abuse story.. I recommend it.
