Her company is failing. His plan could save it. Will their partnership move from business to pleasure? Carla “Carl” Stevenson takes a special joy in running the local timber mill. But when the economy takes a downturn, selling the family business may be her only heartbreaking option. After a prospective buyer takes an interest, she’s horrified by his plans to raze the Frazier forest to make room … make room for cheap cattle farming. To protect her home, she reluctantly turns to the town’s most notorious player…
Owen Cooper can’t believe Carl’s mill is for sale. But the construction company owner is even more shocked that “Carl” is actually a beautiful woman. Moved by feelings he never saw coming, Owen drafts an ambitious plan to save the mill owner’s livelihood… and maybe even win her heart.
Rallying their community around the audacious idea, Owen and Carl find their fates delightfully intertwined. But both their chemistry and the project hang in the balance when he suddenly walks away…
With the whole town at stake, will Carl and Owen save the mill and find their way to true love?

This is a wonderful start to a new series. I adored the fact that this book really seemed to encompass “every day people” and they were facing challenges that normal people face all the time. Both “Carl” (Carla) and Owen were so easy to relate to that they almost seemed more human than characters of a book.
This story is written in a dual POV format. Seeing Owen’s struggles with panic attacks and Carla’s facing the selling of her family’s mill (and the strain on her relationship with her brother) really made this story into one that I didn’t want to put down. There were a couple of sexy scenes but really were highly glossed over with no graphic details but in good conscious I can only HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone over the age of 18.
I so look forward to more of this series with the other brothers.
Owen, owner of Cooper Construction with his two brothers, realizes that Carl from Stevenson Mill is really Carla and he can’t fight his feelings of attraction for this strong woman working in a man’s world. They work together to try to boast his business through a new green construction and save her family’s failing mill. Their romance has its share of misunderstandings, sexy romance, and funny moments. I’m looking forward to his brothers and her brothers romances.
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

Another fantastic story and a great start to a new series by this wonderful author. She always gives us fabulous characters to root for and a romantic storyline that entertains and warms the heart. Carla and Owen are terrific as a couple as they struggle to get on the same page romantically and business wise. The push/pull between these two is entertaining as they fight their attraction while trying to find a mutual solution to their business agendas. Great small town feel and family and friends atmosphere along with a sizzling romance. I look forward to the next story in the series.

This Book One is wonderfully well-written story in the A Frazier Falls Small Town Series that has interestingly well-developed characters that have connection, chemistry, romance and love. This story is very realistic with a small-town feel, interesting, light-hearted, realistic, humorous, problems, and romance. This is a must read story that is very sweet and I cannot wait until I can read more by this Author.

Carla and her brother run the local timber mill, but sales dwindle as more and more people go for concrete buildings. Her brother wants to sell, but the only buyer will destroy their legacy. Carla has a plan. Together with architect Owen Cooper she is on a mission – and not only her mill is on the line.
A well-written story, with enough suspense to keep going and enjoying a time of of reading quietly.

Rescue Me is the first book in the Frazier Falls series and if this book is any indication of how the series will be we are in for some fabulous reads. In this book we get Carla and Owen’s journey of love. Two people who fall in love as they try to save Carla’s family mill. Kelly Collins writes the best small town romances with great storylines, believable characters and perfect HEA’s. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
What a phenomenally heartwarming story of community, friendship, and family; everything a small town is about. Carla and her brother are struggling to keep their family’s lumber mill afloat in a weakening product demand. Owen is a part owner of a construction company who devises a plan to help Carla save her family’s legacy while at the same time she helps him. Rescue Me is a captivating must read with wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. Filled with laughter, friendship, family, passion, heartache, misunderstandings, witty banter, and love. I absolutely loved reading the first book in this new series from Kelly Collins and I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

First book in a new series. As always the author writes of well developed characters who will draw you in from the beginning. Lots of emotional drama as well as action to keep the pages turning. I look forward to the next book in this series
This is the first book in a new series by Kelly Collins and after falling in love with her Aspen Cover series and the fact we have the tie to that series via the Cooper brothers made it even better. I loved Carl she has sass, determination and is also a bit vulnerable and thinks of others especially her brother and employees who are like a surrogate family to her and her brother. With a decision of whether to sell the timber mill that has been their family business forever or try for a hail Mary she meets Owens and a night of fun turns into the hail Mary she was looking for. I loved how they both needed something to help them succeed in life and that each other could give that as well as the vulnerability Owen opens up about that only one other person knows about, but it also sucks how keeping what they are doing as secret because that never ends well. I can not wait for more books to come out in this series as they make me feel so good after reading them as well as making me want to move to one of these small towns!! lol

I love this story. It is about doing what is right not just for oneself but for others. This story is about Owen Cooper and Carla Stevenson. Carla and her brother Rich own the mill and they are running out of money, so Rich thinks that it is best for them to sell the mill and help their employees with a severance package, but Carla is not on board with that. Owen Cooper is the oldest of the Cooper boys and he is an architect, who is working on something that will help build eco friendly homes made from the wood obtained from the mills. The story has some funny parts to it especially when he first meets Carla as he is expecting a male due to her business name is Carl. Well needless to say they both are attracted to each other immediately, but he has to go on a date that he should have never agreed to. The story is funny but has its romantic side to it. You must get a copy of this and enjoy!

Great start to a new small town series. You actually meet the Cooper Brothers In the Aspen Cove Series and I’m so glad they are getting there own books. Another good book by Kelly!!
Like all of Kelly Collins creations, “Rescue Me” is beautiful inside and out. A carefully crafted story designed to make you feel good and get swept away from real life for a time. Kelly Collins never fails to make you smile and come back for more each time she brings a new book out. I loved every single thing about this book and I can’t wait to read “Shelter Me”. Trust me when I say this is one romance you don’t want to miss!! Happy reading!!

This is another great story by Kelly Collins.
In this book we have the story of Owen Cooper, which took me some time to realize that these are the same Cooper brothers that already appeared in the Aspen Cove books.
Carla Stevenson runs the local timber mill along with her brother Rich, but when business is not going well, their only option is to sell it. However, the only proposal they receive is a buyer who plans to raze the Frazier forest to make room for cattle farming.
She is horrified and asks for a deadline to think of another solution. And that’s when Owen Cooper shows up at her office to raise an order to build his Green House Project homes. If Owen’s plan works, it can help the Stevenson family business.
As the two work together to prepare the presentation of Owen’s project, the chemistry between them just grows and they finally decide to give their feelings a chance.
But when unexpected events threaten this balance between them, will they be able to overcome and move on?
I loved the story, the characters and the whole unfolding of the story. I’m anxious to read more about Pax and Eli.
I highly recommend reading.
