The girl’s body lay on the riverbank, her arms outflung. Her blonde hair lay in matted clumps, shockingly pale against the muddy bank. Her face was like a porcelain sculpture that had been broken and glued back together: grey cracks were visible under the white sheen of her dead skin. Her lips were so blue they could have been traced in ink.
When the body of troubled teenager Elodie Duncan is … Elodie Duncan is pulled from the river in Abbeyford, the case is at first assumed to be a straightforward suicide. Detective Sergeant Kate Redman is shocked to discover that she’d met the victim the night before her death, introduced by Kate’s younger brother Jay. As the case develops, it becomes clear that Elodie was murdered. A talented young musician, Elodie had been keeping some strange company and was hiding her own dark secrets.
As the list of suspects begin to grow, so do the questions. What is the significance of the painting Elodie modelled for? Who is the man who was seen with her on the night of her death? Is there any connection with another student’s death at the exclusive musical college that Elodie attended?
As Kate and her partner Detective Sergeant Mark Olbeck attempt to unravel the mystery, the dark undercurrents of the case threaten those whom Kate holds most dear…

I highly recommend the Kate Redman series
The characters stayed with me long after I finished the book. I read another book by the author that was also good, but this book was exceptional. I read a lot of mysteries to relax and not think too much and often can’t remember anything about them even days after I read them. I read this book at least a month ago and it has stayed with me. …
I enjoyed this book and I enjoy the series.
A solid mystery. It sparked my interest enough to want to read more Celina Grace novels.
Strong characters with several sub plot to hold your interest. The conclusion is unexpected and well worth the wait.
Though this is the second book in the series, it’s the first one I’ve read. Kate Redman is a compelling mixture of positive and negative traits – as are all the characters. I look forward to reading more in the series.
Nice progression of character development of Kate Redman across the series of books.
I love every book I read .I couldn’t stop reading .I stay up all night trying to finish.I wake up the next morning with my glasses on my book on my chest.Lol.Thank you so much for the free book’s and sending me the best selling top novel.
Your’s truely
Ms Gay Tatum
It was a little predictable but it held my interest and was entertaining.
Loved the book. Couldn’t put it down.
Good story but great characters. I felt like I was there with them.
I enjoy the Kate Redman books. I’ve read the first 3, all good.
Lovely read
Seldom have I ever read a book I did not like in some way.
Good story, interesting characters.
Although I think this book was better than the second book, I was very disappointed with how the book ended. It left many questions, especially regarding Lena’s relationship with Julian, Alex. It seems like she will end up with Alex but it would of been nice to at least have an epilogue to get some answers.
This was not the best book I’ve ever read. However, I did enjoy it a bit. So, if you have somehow made it through Delirium, and pandemonium, and are now reading this review, I congratulate you. It took me a bit to get through Pandemonium and the beginning of this book. I did finish it. I liked the ending and I hated the ending. As with most books, …
Great dystopian
What a big disappointment! Book one: fabulous, book two: very good with horrible ending, book three: nope! The only reason I gave Requiem three stars instead of two is because Lauren Oliver writes so beautifully.
First problem: Oliver changes her writing style in each book. Book one was in first person present from Lena’s POV. The second follows …
This wasn’t exactly what I was expecting from the end of this series. Don’t get me wrong I loved the book and the series as a whole (though I’ve still got the Alex novella to read) but I expected more from this final volume somehow. I wish we’d gotten more answers, like what happened to Hana, Raven, Alex & Lena, Lena & Julian? I wanted nice and …
