Cocky and self-assured, I’m confident when it comes to my skills both on stage and in the bedroom. Everything in my life is perfect, even if I am the last single man standing in our famed rock band. But it wasn’t always this way.Jayla knew me before I hit it big. Back when I was a skinny teen, chasing dreams without a penny to my name. Now she’s back in my life and so much more than the girl I … than the girl I remember. Fiercely loyal. Beautiful and badass. She walked out of my life before, and I won’t let that happen again.
They say some songs are better on the second take, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, this is our time for a replay.
REPLAY is the final book in the Off Track Records series and can be read as a standalone, or start at the beginning with DETOUR.

Ever since meeting the complicated playboy Austin in the first book in the Off Track Records series I have been eagerly anticipating his story and oh my freaking goodness it was so totally worth the wait!
Replay is the fourth and final installment in this incredible series and I think that Kacey Shea might have just saved the best bandmate for last. Although I have loved and adored every story so far, his second chance romance with Jayla captivated my heart in a whole new way. When I started reading I was instantly transported right back into this world and I devoured every word within a few hours. It was nearly impossible to put this one down because I wanted to see how things would come to an end, but at the same time I wasn’t prepared to give up these characters and I savored every angsty moment.
Austin and Jayla were sensational characters and their story was a beautifully written and emotionally captivating tale with a ton of sexy, suspenseful and consuming moments that kept us on the edge of our seats until the end. The swoon-worthy chemistry between these two leads had my experiencing so many unexpected emotions and it was a little bittersweet at the same time because their romance was one of a kind and they stole my breath away.
Jayla was a queen badass who was strong willed, incredibly smart and one of my favorite female leads of all time. She was super fierce and I absolutely loved how her character was written because she was developed in a way that she was the perfect match for Austin, who actually has a caring side to his playboy ways. He definitely charmed his way into Jayla’s heart, and mine too of course.
This story was phenomenal and I am really hoping that this won’t be the last that we see of all these amazing characters that I have grown to love throughout the Off Track Records series!
I hate myself for not having read Kacey Shea’s books before! Replay is the first book I read by this author and I’m completely in love with her writing and the rockstar world she created in the Off Track Record Series.
Even though I’m new to the crew and have only gotten to know Austin’s story, I’m dying to go back to the beginning and get to know the rest of the band members and their stories. They all captured my heart.
Replay has everything I love in a second chance romance, and one of the things I love the most about it is that it didn’t feel like the story was written with just a second chance in romance, but also to include a second chance for the characters to make amends with their past and put peace in their hearts, hearts that have been slowly getting crushed by the weight of the ghosts that have been chasing them for a while now.
Jayla and Austin are both remarkable characters. Jayla is such a badass. She is strong, smart and SO brave. I love how fierce she was, and I couldn’t stop admiring her throughout the development of the story. And Austin? Even though he’s always making jokes (in the most inappropiate times too), his heart is really beautiful. He is kind, caring and understanding. He’s the ultimate book boyfriend. With his sometimes cheesy and always arrogant personality, he charmed his way straight into my heart, and of course, Jay’s as well.
These two took me on a wild ride. One where I got to read about their steamy and passionate moments, and connect with those were they were at their most vulnerable, with the funny and sweet ones, and also, to continue to worry about the undeniable threat that hangs over their heads over the course of the story.
An intriguing, swoon worthy and emotional rollercoaster.
This second chance love story is the final book in this enjoyable series. Austin and Jayla’s book offers a wonderful blend of emotion, drama, suspense, past hurts and present desires. Austin was a typical rock star. He had a smart mouth and was always acting like a class clown. He did have more depth to him but it really had to be worked at to expose it. Jayla was a strong, serious, capable, in-charge woman. This was a bit of a slow burn romance for me but it was a good read.
Excellent!!
Austin and Jayla bring the heat in the 4th book of this series. I love them together and as individual characters. I look forward to more from this author.
I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review
Austin Jones is the last man standing, well, not paired up in his band.
He thoroughly enjoys the rockstar life and all its fringe benefits. All of it.
But, things are changing. As the last single one, he’s the extra wheel.
Jayla, his high school girlfriend who always believed in him is back in his life. She had to move away when she was sixteen, but it was Austin who never kept in touch.
And he’s being sued by Coy and getting threatening letters and gifts.
You are drawn into both Austin and Jayla’s worlds (she’s kind of a bad A) and that of their friends, family and bandmates.
Recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Thank you for your review.
Oh how the mighty falls! Austin may have talked smack about his friends, for “falling in love”, but to watch Austin be bit by the bug was a real treat! I have loved the Off Track Records series, because as much as each couple has their story, the band/friends are very prominent within each story. Not just glimpses of past characters, but total involvement! Book four is finally Austin! He’s been quite the character throughout the series, but now to get inside his head and learn of the real person behind the tats and the bravado! I love second chance stories and I think this one beats them all. To learn of Jayla, a friend from Austin’s past and the struggles of her life. After reading about Jayla, I think of Mandisa’s song, “Overcomer”! Austin and Jayla have a lot to overcome; from within and the unknown. The tension at times! This story kept me on my toes with wonder!
(OHHHH and the awesome cover that fits the character!)
I am definitely without a doubt a 3 Ugly Guys groupie! The boys and their ladies are such a fantastic group of characters and you know that whatever happens through all the drama, the ups and the downs, when they’re around you’re always in for a good laugh. Yes there’s drama, a little angst and the smokin hot stuff all thrown in but it really didn’t need anything over the top. Jayla and Austin were just like their story, perfect. I’m really going to miss this crazy bunch! I’ll definitely be rereading them over and over again but I’m also super excited to see what Kacey Shea writes next because I know it’s going to be amazing.
This story was a truly great read from beginning to the end. A beautiful emotional read and easy 4,5* from me.
I loved Austin. Even with his big mouth he had more to offer than meets the eye. I loved how strong Jayla was. I loved her courage, her heart. The chemistry they had was explosive and I loved Austin’s understanding what she needed from him. They both had demons form the past to over come and that made them stronger at the end.

Austin and Jayla were great friends when they were growing up, but Jayla suddenly moved and Austin never heard from her. Years later, at one of the band’s meet and greets, he comes face to face with Jayla again. Jayla now works in security and is hired by the band when threats start being made against them. Austin and Jayla rediscover their friendship and their love for one another grows over time. They are faced with doubts, resolution of past “wrongs”, laughter, steam, and ultimately a wonderful relationship. This is a great story with well developed characters and a touching storyline. I received an advanced readers copy of this book and highly recommend it.
A rock star romance with a twist! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Austin is a playboy rock star from a hard up brining making it big. Jayla is the girl from across the hall that moved and was thought to never be heard from again. When Jayla makes a move to see her rock star friend from the past what will happen? Austin and all of his playboy ways go out the window when Austin forces Jayla’s hand to head up his private security team. Will this tour with the two of them end in a happily ever after or will it cause a riff that will never be repaired. There are a lot of real world issues in this story that make you truly feel for the characters. My first book in this series and by this author but I have a lot to catch up on and will not be my last!
I love when a title plays into a story so perfectly, and this one did ~ the new start of old friendships, the playlist of old school songs, the Second chances… it just fit so well!
I liked the fact that Austin; the raw, wise cracking, definitely cocky & extremely confident and often time childish Rock Star from the Three Ugly Guys series finally got his book! And Jayla was the perfect match for him; strong , independent, take-charge woman who didn’t have your average job. I love the amazing 3UG extended family, it makes this group and their stories more relatable.
The element of suspense added to the story, I just wish the mystery of Brianna would have been resolved as well.
Amazing
This is the third and final installment in this Amazing series by Kacey Shea.
Replay delivered the last bow with a big Wow from me, going out with a bang I absolutely Loved it.
Austin and Jaylahs Romance was a heart stopper for sure, with a perfect combination of Romance, Rockstars, suspense, steam, friends to lovers and second chances. Be prepared to be completely captivated by this story, I fell in Love with Austin and Jaylah.
They have a past and so much chemistry that fate just had to intervene because it is obvious they are meant to be together. It’s a rocky road but one worth reading about, I thoroughly enjoyed Replay it was Amazing and I highly recommend it.
Replay is the final book in the Off The Track Records series and even though I am sad that the 3UG tour has finally come to an end, the encore these characters give in this story leaves you on a total high. Austin’s story will have you on the edge of your seat and your anxiety levels soaring through the roof. At times I found my heart aching for Austin and Jaylah, pasts that were tainted that were now reflecting on the present. This last book was action packed, steamy and sexy, frustrating and the chemistry that radiated between these two was electric. Their story was one of second chances, giving into what your heart wanted and finally letting all your secrets out. Austin’s mouth will get him into trouble so many times you might just want to smack him around the back of the head a time or two. Ultimately their story was one of two people who were destined to be together and letting yourself give in to what your heart and soul always knew was right.
Woohoo…Austin finds love!! To be fair, this is really a second chance story. Austin is the last remaining single member of 3UG…and, even though he acts as if he doesn’t care, he’s starting to get the ‘settle down’ itch. When he runs into his ex girlfriend from his hometown…those days before he was a rockstar…Austin still feels the connection. Of course things don’t just fall into place for him…he’s being sued by the former drummer, Coy…the woman-abuser…for beating him up. Things get dark before they get better, trust me, Austin eventually gets the girl. Love the ending of this epic series!!!! Sad to say goodbye…3UG!!!!!
I accepted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
“Some songs are so good, you know, but they’re even better on the replay. It isn’t until you’ve memorized the lyrics that they become significant. It’s not until you appreciate the complexity of the music that it becomes better. The more times you listen, the more you fall in love.”
Replay is my first read by this author. I just knew that I would love it being I’m a huge fan of rock star romance and second chance tropes, but this one kind of fell flat for me. What should have taken me one to two days to read, took me five. I fell in love with the cover and the blurb, but I just couldn’t get into the story.
Austin is the practical joker and ladies man of the group. A lot of the time his joking around was ill-timed. He had no filter and was pretty immature in the beginning. It made it a bit hard for me to like his character, but as the book went on he certainly redeemed himself.
Jayla is an ex-cop who now runs her own security company. She is a survivor and extremely resilient; overcoming something that nobody should ever have to endure. She is strong, brave and fiercely independent. When Austin’s band is threatened, she is hired as their new head of security. He was not only her best friend in high school, but he was also her first love. Seeing him again brings back all of those long-lost feelings. What she doesn’t know is that her feelings were reciprocated.
Tragedy brought these two back together again, giving them a second chance. Will they be able to rewrite history and finally have their shot at love and happiness?
Overall, I found the story-line to be promising. But like I said before, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I did enjoy the drama/suspense that we were given involving Coy. I do wish that it had been fleshed out a bit more though for some added detail and excitement. Also, what happened with Brianna? We were told all about her character, but not what became of her. Despite my three star rating, I still found parts of the story enjoyable and will most certainly give this author another go in the future.
