There are two sides to every story. I fell in love with a redheaded boy, a boy who was kind and good. Until he wasn’t. He broke my heart once, twice… I’ve lost count. Like a dark god, he haunts me. He smells like smoke and cinnamon, with danger seeping from every pore. He is my savior, my lover, exciting and addictive.I should’ve seen it coming… Never trust a Disciple. You have to sell your soul … trust a Disciple. You have to sell your soul to the devil to get one to love you. I would.
I did.
My name is Dolores Dunghart and I might have done the unforgivable.
I don’t care if you judge me… I’ve judged myself.
But this is how we live.
And this is our love story.
Edge and Dolly forever.

If you though David and Charlie were Dysfunctional… Dolly and Edge were a complete train wreck.
There story was filled with drama, misunderstandings and paranoia.
Dolly and Edge were friends from a young age, both from broken and problematic families. The club always had an issue with Edge and Dolly’s relationship. One mistake has led to Dolly’s and Edges fall.
I really love how the author portrayed Dolly’s character, fully of drama, violence and hatred, it was realistic.
I do think Dolly was affected a lot mentally with all the issue she was going with how the author describes her which is the only thing I hoped was spoken more indepth about instead of her looking crazy.
All I’ll say is Edge has a lot of patience!!
I’m really glad they did get there ‘Edge and Dolly forever’ ending as we weren’t the only ones routing for them so was there friends.
At a point I seriously didn’t think they would get one.
This book was wonderful and utterly heartbreaking! The story of Edge and Dolly isn’t one I’m likely to forget. It was great seeing the characters from the previous books. Development of each of them has been something I’ve truly enjoyed. Looking forward to the next one!
REPENT is the third instalment in Cassandra Robbin’s contemporary, adult THE DISCIPLES erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Disciples MC. This is MC treasurer Edge Daniels, and Dolores ‘Dolly’ Dunghart’s storyline. REPENT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Repent picks up immediately after the events and cliff-hanger of book two ATONE.
WARNING: REPENT contains strong language and text, and questionable consent that may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Dolly and Edge) following approximately twenty-five years in the life, REPENT follows the best friends to lovers relationship between Edge Daniels and Dolly Dunghart. Dolly and Edge are MC brats having grown up in the lifestyle with their fathers as original members but all was not well in either Dolly or Edge’s life, and our couple have struggled with emotional issues throughout most of their lives. Always dependent upon Edge to pick up the pieces of her broken life, Dolly’s jealousy and inability to trust stem from a home life where no one was faithful, and secrets and lies were a part of their daily routine but Dolly’s life will begin to spiral out of control, and Edge will pay the price for the woman he loves. What ensues is the back and forth, antagonistic relationship between Dolly and Edge, and the numerous fall-outs as their dysfunctional and life long co-dependant love struggles with issues of trust from years of disappointments and disillusions from family and friends.
Dolly and Edge have been one another’s rocks and friends for as long as they can remember but life in the MC is difficult and hard, and Dolly struggles with everything she knows, and the experiences at home but Edge is about to pay the price for protecting the woman he loves, and betrayal by his brothers builds a wall between our couple, a wall that may be too tall to overcome. Dolly and Edge’s $ex life is energetic, intense, and combative, and not without some questionable consent and furious passion.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, aggressive and dynamic secondary and supporting characters, most of whom we have met in previous story lines. We are introduced to Dolly’s friend Doug, and limo driver Robert.
REPENT is story of family and relationships; mistrust and miscommunication. The premise is dramatic and frenzied; the relationship is contentious and destructive; the characters are broken but struggling to heal.
Repent (The Disciples Book 3)
Cassandra Robbins
“There are two sides to every story.”
Wow I’m loving the disciples series
This book was great
I loved how the author wrote such amazing characters
The story content was believable and we’ll written.
This is my new favorite.
Sorry no spoilers.
I voluntary read this is my review.
Gritty and raw to the point of perfection, with the irresistible chemistry and a dash of enemies/friends to lovers touch…..and next you realize you have been left sleepless and totally groggy the next morning, still unable to find the perfect word to do this book justice.
Cassandra gives us the whole Dolly and Edge’s story, everything – the full background, the history, the bone deep love and care and sweetness that exists in this romance .Dolly, with her need to have him according to some of her already formed image. He, the infamous biker who does not fit into her happily ever after. They together, an explosion of lust and fireworks of emotions.
Insecurity and rashness separate them the first time, circumstances the second time, but from the very beginning to the end, you simply know they belong together, they’re born for each other. The author leads us on a journey through different stages of their relationship, mixing the past with the present in her uniquely, amazing way that grabs our attention from the first lines. Exploring issues, such as hardship, infidelity, acceptance, the notorious MC brotherhood bonds, she offers us downright insight into both main characters, using alternating 1st person narrative which is absolutely seamless.
And her way of shaking you to the core, and leaving you emotion –wrecked is turned on its highest in this book. You will giggle, swoon and want to throw your book at times. Even want to enter the book and kick Edge’s butt, and after you turn several pages, you will want to enter again but this time to hug him. Cassandra is not afraid to push the boundaries of the conventional, to challenge her readers by using concepts such as harshness and cruelty in the name of love and belonging.
The plot is extremely solid and seasoned with more than enough elements: compelling connection, jaded lovers, soul mates struggles that will stay in the readers’ minds long after they finish the book.
Cassandra Robbins will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions, adding such steaming moments that will make you blush. This is definitely one more than amazing addition to the already sensational series that everyone who enjoys love stories should not miss. I have enjoyed every single one, this one being my favorite, and Cassandra’s finest work till now. I simply count down the days till the next one.
This story was utter perfection. Dolly and Edge have a beautifully raw, gritty, emotional, heartbreaking and twisted love story. This story consumed me from the very first page. I didn’t want it to be over. I have read it several times. I love these characters so much. This MC is such an amazing family. This is one of the best books that I have ever read. This book broke my heart but pieced it back together by the end. I give this book all the stars in the world. You need to read this book/series today.
Repent will make you believe in second chances to living and loving. In a blink of an eye your world can change creating despair and uncertainty. But with a soul mate that radiates hope and possibilities nothing is impossible. But even the strongest defense falter at times. You will learn to embrace the happy moments and endure the sad. Cassandra Robbins you truly have wicked writing skills.
Loved this book! Cassandra knocked it out of the park again!
Dolly and Edge have just always meant to be- this is the reality Cassandra paints in their love story- there is no question, there is no doubt- they are fated. This story takes us on a journey through different stages of their relationships with each other as well as their orientation to the Disciples. As children, they are part of the fabric of the MC- we see their sweet and committed relationship blossom. As they mature and evolve, Dolly wants space from this life, while Edge sees it as his destiny. Dolly struggles to find herself as she matures, whereas Edge starts to sit into the natural understanding of who he’s meant to be with the club. Heartbreak occurs, challenges both internally and externally combat their relationship- yet, they always find a way back to each other, because their hearts are forever fused. Like star-crossed MC lovers.
The path here is tumultuous to say the least- a lot of give a tack, false starts and false resolution that is only rocked by another challenge, by forces and other people who stand in their way of being together, including themselves. That path impacts them- changes them– losing a piece of heart, half of your soul, it changes you. They can’t find their peace, but they can’t stay apart- an angushing cycle of heartbreak, challenge, and hurt. But, the fight for their love never stops, and the adversity only strengthens the indestructible tether between them.
The chemistry here is compulsive, magnetic, explosive- the romantic equivalent of a tornado- at times violent and destructive, awe-inspiring, no end and no beginning. Chaotic, a force of nature, savagely beautiful. Just like Dolly and Edge, you too are sucked into the cyclone that is their romance- swirling around, consumed by the chaos, hanging on for the rainbow you hope comes at the end of the storm.
Cassandra builds such a compelling, emotional, and nuanced foundation for their connection with the plot- a friendship, young love, jaded lovers, soulmates. Each piece of their narrative journey, each moment is part of the mosaic of their love- full of jaded, rough pieces that can cut, broken moments, but indefinitely fused together into something that is whole, that is beautiful. This is how you do complex love stories, this is how you do heartache and redemption. A carefully crafted push-pull. How you do love that is as anguishing as it is beautiful.
Each character gets depth, layers and dimension. These are characters who struggle- with their identities, as lovers and as individuals- and underneath it is a captivating devotion to one another – the need for each other like they need air to breathe. Wow. Just wow.
Repent may be my favorite in the series thus far-so anguishing, emotive, and captivating. The raw and gritty MC world contrasted with a sweet, vulnerable, yearning love story. I love the clear point of view Cassandra has as an MC author- it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite voices in the MC romance genre.
Wow Wow Wow!!
Edge and Dolly’s story is absolutely amazing!
From being childhood best friends watching their journey to adults where their relationship grows to something so complex, each dealing with their insecurities and demons. I wanted to shake the both of them with how stubborn they are. Their story is raw with such an intense love and passion like no other, it’s heartbreakingly perfect!
I couldn’t get enough of Edge and Dolly and I can’t wait to see what’s install for the Disciples next!
Edge and Dolly’s story was an emotional rollercoaster! I absolutely loved Edge he was always looking out for Dolly and putting her needs first. My heart went out to Dolly and everything she went through but I didn’t really like her. This has been my favorite of the series. So much angst which I love! A great read and series.
Following suit to Lethal and Atone, I’m absolutely OBSESSED with Repent, with Edge and Dolly. How could you not be? You can’t help be be consumed by them and their love, just as they’re consumed with each other.
After only catching brief glimpses of them so far, I was so intrigued by these two, their constant push and pull relationship. But now that I know how deep their love runs, how it’s built on friendship, first love, heartache, and devastation, it only amplifies their connection to one another.
Edge and Dolly are wildly explosive. From young kids to teenagers to adults, their love morphs from something sweet to something carnal to something protective to something possessive. One is the match while the other is the gasoline, their roles always switching.
I was immediately hooked in by Edge and Dolly, rooting for them every step of the way. Their journey is filled with every emotion imaginable, but in the end, it only strengthens them as both individuals and as a couple.
Cassandra Robbins is immensely talented and I’ve loved every single word she has written. Her take on MC romance is so fresh, and while she pulls no punches conveying the dark, gritty, seedy culture that clubs are known for, she also isn’t afraid to showcase how these alpha men so openly love on their women. The Disciples series is MC romance at its finest and Robbins has hit the mark with every book, and I have no question that Ignite will carry the tradition.
Cassandra has done it again!! I just cannot get enough of this MC series! Edge and Dolly’s story is one I’ve been wanting since book one and it was EVERYTHING I wanted & a little more.
Their back story was so raw and beautiful – my heart broke for them. We know some of their history from the first two books but you could easily jump in at this story & not feel lost. Their relationship is explosive and at times I wanted to shake either or both of them but that’s why I loved it so much. It wasn’t an easy love story & it wasn’t even a pretty one at times – but it was THEIR messy love story. Exactly how I imagined these two crazy characters would be.
I have to make SPECIAL MENTION of their chemistry – these two just about blew up my kindle & left me in a puddle on the floor – hubby says thanks for the wake up at 2am…
And gotta say that ending – Axel doesn’t even know what he’s in for! Bring on Book 4.
Edge and Dolly Forever. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Cassandra has done it again, putting me in the world of the disciples and providing a heart stopping story of one of the members. I loved it.
5 DOLLY AND EDGE FOREVER STARS!! AMAZING STORY!! Dolly and Edge forever….I keep chanting that in my head. My emotions were all over place while reading their story. Dolly and Edge will be engraved on my heart forever. Wow, Cassandra Robbins has taken us on a beautiful angsty ride with these two from childhood to adulthood and what a journey it was.
Oh jeez Cassandra ripped open my heart with Edge and Dolly’s story. Repent is one of the most captivating, COMPLETELY TORTUOUS, love stories I have read in a long time. It is the opposite of easy and these characters have enchanted my stinging heart.
Dolly and Edge are meant to be. Essentially from day one they have had each other’s backs. Born into The Disciples MC Club, their life isn’t all rainbows, but Edge’s protection of and loyalty to Dolly is one of the sweetest things in their story. While Edge starts to embrace his life in the club side by side with some of the other kids and close friends, Dolly yearns to get out and be something different. Their connection only gets deeper as they get older, but Dolly changes to fit in with the cool kids and she becomes more insecure and jealous about Edge’s intentions in the club. A heartbreaking betrayal crushes them and though Edge knows they belong together, he fights himself to become someone Dolly deserves. Running back to her is a must and he ends up saving her from a horrific encounter.
Circumstances tear them apart right when their love and need for each other is soaring again. Unbeknownst to them, their families and the club work to keep them away from each other and they both emerge bitter and jaded. Edge grows harder while Dolly becomes more determined to not fall into the club life. Alas, they just can’t help but fall back into each other. They are at war with obstacle after obstacle, including deep seated inner turmoil, and it seems like they will never find peace together.
This story is a rollercoaster of emotions with some of the steamiest scenes I’ve read in a long time! Both of the MCs have incredibly layered personalities and idiosyncrasies that I fell in love with immediately, even when I wanted to give them a shake! LOL. Dolly’s personal growth and struggle for self-acceptance was a thing of beauty. Edge’s harsh undying love for Dolly was breathtaking. Throw in the other characters and everything is kicked up several notches! Repent is the story of a painfully deep love worth fighting like hell for! 5 plus stars for one of my new favorite MC romances!
Holy S**t! Edge and Dolly forever. What a ride Cassandra Robbins takes you on with Edge and Dolly’s story. Its an emotional rollercoaster with ups and downs and everything in between. We’ve seen glimpses of their relationship through out the other books but those were just surface looks their is soo much to their story. There is no Dolly without Edge and no Edge without Dolly. It’s truly a love story for the ages. I cant say enough good things about this book. Their chemistry is perfect they are soul mates through and through and they go through shit this isnt a unicorn and rainbow love story that’s for sure. And I wouldn’t want it to be
I’ve been waiting for Edge & Dolly and this book did not disappoint. Talk about an explosive, heart breaking back sorry!! It was not an easy love story, but these MCs make it worth it!!
Am I still crying? I think I might be. This is such a rollercoaster road ride of a read. It is the literal story of a life long love. It has always been Dolly and Edge. Starting at age 6 for Dolly and catches up to the current timeline of the series. Their story isn’t easy. Neither have had an easy or good life. It’s not a particularly dark read but it isn’t an easy read either. Both of them have traumas that make things difficult to them at times. You will cry tears of sadness at times reading this but you will get your happy tears at the end.
I loved this book. This series is great and I’m glad Dolly and Edge finally got their story so we can see were they have been but were they are going too. I really recommend it
I just finished reading Repent and I loved it so hard it’s consuming my every thought!
Cassandra Robbins just keeps upping the ante with her phenomenal storytelling in each subsequent story of the Disciples Series… and Repent is a sure bet and winner in that regard!
The relationship between Edge and Dolly is dynamic and complex Yet, their long standing love is deep rooted and fundamentally simple since childhood, not to mention, intense as they grow older! Plain and simple, they early on develop an inexplicable connection of unadulterated love despite their intertwined dysfunctional homes through the MC.
Their story is filled with twists and turns, ups and downs, angst, sacrifices, meddling, insecurities, and hurt – all in their quest to find their true happiness together.
Dolly has a desire to conform wanting to be like the “in kids” in school, aspiring to be accepted, wanting to distance herself from the MC but yet conflicted. She was so in love with Edge while at the same time fearing his ties to the Club and afraid of losing him despite her being a product of that same MC environment. “A constant competition that she felt compelled to win.”
Edge sacrificed himself for the sake of the Club after a terrifying incident while protecting Dolly. However, it was Club first, even though he had a deep love and was committed to Dolly. He was not a conformist with no desire to fit in to the world she so wanted to be a part of. He was a survivor, accepting his life circumstances and trying to stay true to himself while trying his best to accept Dolly’s desire to be someone other than her and to fit in. He just couldn’t resist her.
The evolution and ultimate realizations these two characters achieved was heartwarming considering all they went through.
“She’s my greatest love and biggest downfall..”
“Edge and Dolly, you can’t have one without the other.”
“This is us. Edge and Dolly forever.”
Do yourself a favor and read this book! I strongly recommend starting the series with Lethal and the Atone as the characters are interconnected and reading them in order helps with the flow of the series.
