I enjoyed everything about this book. I loved the characters and thoroughly enjoyed seeing their story play out.
Absolutely love this author. Will purchase and read any books written. Love the characters
Enjoyed the characters and the story. Great love story with a happily ever after.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was such a wonderful story. I cried at some parts of this beautiful story. The story doesn’t have unnecessary drama to it but it is filled with everyday type of drama. The pathway to a HEA for Stryker and Jess was just filled with strife. These two seemed so opposite of each other but oh so similar in others.
The book contained my favorite dual POV and I adored reading how the mighty Stryker worked through getting around Jess to try and sale the albatross of a run-down mansion. The workings of his mind will give you a chuckle or two. He was priceless in trying to figure Jess out and falling for her instead.
There were some steamy scenes but nothing that would be out of the ordinary when two people meet and fall in love. These scene were not racy by any means. There is a story here that is a joy to read.
I was sucked into this book nearly from the beginning. Once I got started reading, I couldn’t put it down. On the surface, Stryker and Jess appear to polar opposites. But once we started to see beneath the surface, they had more in common than either one expected. These two strike sparks off each other with every encounter, and their snarky banter had me holding my breath to see what would come next. The story also has some deep emotional riptide. It pulled me under and spat me back out after beating me around for a while. As an FYI, keep the tissues handy. There’s a good chance you’ll need them before you reach the end.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Life has never been easy for Jess but she has kept going due to a dream she has kept hold of that might be ripped away from her. Jess is a right firecracker and I loved how she knows how to stand her ground but Stryker is also great as he is actually really complex and they both have faults, there is plenty of sexual tension, stubbornness, heartbreak, hope and frustration at both Jess and Stryker for the way they act at times. I promise you will be hooked as soon as you start this book as you really do get sucked into the life of Pine Groves and the characters well you will love them all, actually on second thoughts apart from the waitress Mary, yeah I didn’t like her!!
This was a wonderful read that was filled with powerful emotions. The storyline is well written and held my interest. Jess was such a lovable character. She was strong, determined and relatable. I not only liked her I felt for her. Stryker was a character that you had to get to know to like. As the story unfolds that happens and I was so happy he was lucky enough to find Jess. I loved them as a couple and I thoroughly enjoyed their entertaining story.
Omg where do I begin with this book. I absolutely loved this book and storyline and characters and fell in love with Stryker and Jess .
Stryker west is a billionaire and can have anyone he wants and is all about business but when his aunt passes away he is now the owner of her home and wants to demolish it, but he has a monkey wrench thrown at when jess Lennox fights to keep the run down house that she loves and found peace there when things were horrible at home. Will Jess give into Stryker and let him destroy it or will Stryker bow down in the end?
This book really was an emotional roller coaster with both of their past and both stubborn so who will be the one in the end to find peace and happiness in their lives that they deserve?? This book is absolutely a must read and page Turner from the beginning until the end.
