Sexy SEAL to the rescue…………..but does he have the right target in his sights?
Renegade is the first book I have read by Joanne Rock so I was not sure what to expect as you just never know when trying a “new to you” author. What I found was a really well written book with a tight and interesting story-line that takes the reader on a journey with a number of twists and turns. Plus the characters were nicely developed with depth, interest, brains, brawn and a nice amount of steamy heat. Overall this was a really great story and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This is an ex seal romance. Rocco is determined to find the person that swindled his dad. when he meets Jessica they figure out someone stole her identity. Can they find the real culprit?

Book one in the To the Rescue series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Former SEAL Rocco Vitelli and Jessica Winslow’s story of suspense, drama, danger, identity theft, two villains, and romance. I want to read the next book. This is a new Author to me. I read the original of this story when it first came out and I loved it then. Now that I’ve read the new version, I think I might love it even more. This story has humor, intrigue, action, and plenty of steam. Jessica is working hard to make the best of a rough start in life, and it’s about to get rougher. Rocco is the kind of military hero I love to read: caring, protective, and alpha without being an alpha-hole. This pair made me cackle in unmitigated glee as they sparred their way to togetherness in a not quite but almost ‘enemies to lovers’ kind of way. I loved Jessica’s independence and resilience and I loved the way Rocco looks out for and looks after her. I kind of hate that the book’s over already.

Whenever I pick up a book by this talented author, I know I am in for a great story. This one exceeded my expectations and is one of my favorite stories.
The story centers around former SEAL Rocco Vitelli and Jessica Winslow, a woman that creates seminars to help woman find their sexuality.
When Rocco , now owner of a repo company, thinks Jessica has swindled his father, he is determined to get back what he believes belongs to his Dad.
But nothing is what it seems. Jessica is not guilty, but someone is definitely impersonating her.
While the connection and attraction is a large part of the story, the plot is definitely more than that.
The author deals with situations that are very real: stolen identity, rape, domestic abuse, and polygamy and or cults. She weaves it into the storyline, making it very current and engaging from the first page to the last.
I fell in love with Rocco. A very alpha man, but one very perceptive and sensitive to Jessica.
Another winner by this author. I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us in the next book.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
