This was a really good book, I liked that the characters felt like they were real people and the plot itself worked really well. Overall I really enjoyed reading this book.

When a female gladiator and a rebel scientist team up they need to be able to stay alive in the Survival Race a blood sport where only one can stay alive. These two end up falling in love and it seems that the Alien Masters demand only one winner. This is book three and I love that these two who started out as enemies end up falling in love and have a great HEA. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The third book in this series another well written story in this series of an enemies-to-lovers science fiction romance. I enjoyed reading Katana and Griffin’s story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rivals in a survival race find themselves falling in love but how will it in where only one can win? I voluntarily received this book for an honest review
This story has great world building that is vivid. The characterization and character development made for dynamic characters that are realistic and believable. This is a well written third standalone book in this series.
Lethal Survivor meets the future
Katana and Griffin are the unlikeliest of pairings. She’s a gladiator, who’s rough upbringing results in her being unable to trust. He’s a scientist and an intellectual who’s sworn to avoid violence. However, they need to work together in order to win the Worlds Survival Race, and to free his people. In the process of doing so, Griffin falls for Katana, and convinced her that she’s worthy. Action-packed and exciting to the very last page!
The writing and editing of the ARC version of this manuscript was clean, with no typos that I found and prettily constructed sentences. The world building was excellent, though not as vibrant as the first two novels in this series. Partly that could be a function of the fact that this is the third novel in the series. The characterization was excellent, with both hero and heroine being complex, sympathetic individuals with strengths and weaknesses. The development of the romantic relationship was fairly good, though I was disappointed by the lack of steam in this one. The plot and pacing was tight and exciting, meaning I sped through reading this novel. There was a medium amount of well-justified angst on the part of both hero and heroine, considering their trauma history, but it was well balanced with the high stakes, so I still enjoyed the narrative structure. This novel used the Enemies to Lovers trope, the Partner in Trouble trope, and the Found Family trope. The world building was four stars. The plot and pacing was five stars. The characterization was five stars, and the development of the romantic relationship was three stars, because of the lack of sexual tension or steamy scenes. I therefore gave this novel a combined score of four stars. This novel had a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that was a big plus. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy space opera with strong romantic elements/sci-fi romance novels. It has strong cross-genre appeal, in my opinion. I look forward to reading the next novel in the series when it releases, and I plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.
