Book 1:
A monster awoke in Ren the same year he received his gifts. At ten years old. A prepubescent boy with the ability to control others might merely abuse this power, but Ren allowed it to corrupt him. And since he can have and do anything he wants, Ren should be happy. However, his journey teaches him that harboring so much power doesn’t bring happiness, it steals it. Once this realization sets in, Ren makes up his mind to do the one thing that can bring his tortured soul some peace.
He must kill the monster.
Book 2:
Ren Lewis has the life he’s always wanted: the perfect woman and the perfect job as an agent for the Lucidites, fixing problems before they happen.
And yet, he’s still miserable.
He blames the monster buried inside of him for his problems. But what this redheaded Brit doesn’t realize is his life is about to be intensely transformed. Problems that he never could have fathomed begin to surface one at a time until his life quickly spirals out of control.
Book 3:
Irony wears a disingenuous smile.
Ren Lewis, who has faced every danger known to man, is about to meet a challenge he’s convinced has the power to undo him. When he discovers that his daughter, Adelaide, has been hiding a pregnancy he goes into hiding himself.
Having a daughter was one catastrophe Ren struggled with. But now, being expected to welcome her baby into his home is not something Ren knows how to assimilate into his life.
Book 4:
Ren Lewis has seen it all, or so he likes to think. He’s encountered every danger known to man. Due to his powers as a Dream Traveler and unstoppable work ethic, he’s experienced more than any human alive. But Ren is about to have a brand new experience.
He’s being dragged on a family vacation.
Book 5:
Ren Lewis is the most powerful man in the world and he’s about to prove it.
God, Ren believes, has battled him his entire life, trying to use him as a pawn or punish him for his wrong doings. This man, with powers most can’t fathom, has been content to use his skills to help humanity.
However, when God makes a move that will carve out Ren’s heart for the rest of his life, he makes the decision to finally outmaneuver the Almighty Creator. Using technology, philosophy, quantum physics, psychology and spirituality, Ren attempts to do something that millions of people throughout history have only dreamed of.

Audiobook review: Interesting stories either the hateable but likable Ren and his adventures with the Lucidites and his personal life. Love his foul temper and witty grouchy mouth. The narrator did a great job!
Ren: The Man Behind the Monster (Ren Series #1), my twenty-fourth read from author Sarah Noffke .
Ren: God’s Little Monster (Ren Series #2), my twenty-fifth read from author Sarah Noffke.
Ren: The Man Inside the Monster (Ren Series #3), my twenty-sixth read from author Sarah Noffke.
Ren: The Monster’s Adventure (Ren Series #3.5), my twenty-sixth read from author Sarah Noffke.
Ren: The Monster’s Death (Ren Series #4), the conclusion of the series, my twenty-seventh read from author Sarah Noffke. I’m concluding the series sequentially. A well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well developed characters. Narrator Tim Campbell’s voice was perfect for this book and added greatly to the listening enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
This is a truly amazing set of books detailing the life of Ren Lewis, a dream traveller and strategist who was born with some amazingly powerful gifts that are as much a curse as they are a gift. It shows us what made him the sarcastic, arrogant, abrasive, loyal, apathetic, and yet totally appealing, character that he is. At the same time the author draws the listener into the fascinating world of Dream Traveller society; a world full of thrilling danger, action, innovation and gifted, unique individuals. The evolution of the various characters, the humour, heartbreak, intrigue and suspense will keep you absorbed until the very end. It is a heart wrenching, hair pulling, breath taking series with many twists and turns in the various plots. The growth and change in the characters, and the roller coaster of emotions the author takes you on is simply mesmerizing.
The narrator fits Ren’s character to a tee. His excellent British accent, nuances and the deep, sexy baritone of Tim Campbell’s voice portrays Ren perfectly. He brings the character to life and reveals that underlying sexiness that is so appealing in this character. As a narrator, Tim Campbell is the master of accents, flowing seamlessly from one to another, no matter if the character is male or female. He seems to do all the voices equally well.
Ren is one of those characters that feels totally real to you and he stays in your head long after the book is finished. His caustic wit, arrogance, dry sarcastic comments, brilliant mind and flawed personality has kept us laughing, made you want to strangle him, but has also caused our hearts to bleed. The amount of emotion that this character and these stories have been able to elicit from readers is a testament to how well written these books are and how fully developed this character is. Not only is there great characters but the storylines in each book are amazing. I am sad that this series is ended and that I will no longer get to hear that snarky British accent as I listen to Sarah’s future books.
