If you want a gritty thrilling read. Then this book is for you.
I finished this one last night. I enjoyed it. This is the second Will Patching novel I’ve read. They both were good.
4 1/2 Stars. A real page turner. The characters were wonderful, and there weren’t too many to keep track of. The story was great, very believable. There were a few places where I wanted to cover my eyes cause it was scary, but that indicates a talented Author.
this is one scary book. violence, in and of itself, can be scary enough but add in a delusional psychopath and you’ve got a silence of the lambs or manhunter read. i’m surprised it didn’t give me nightmares. so good!
I am not a fan. This book was not thrilling for me. I found myself bored and skimming entire chapters.
This is 5 star all the way. Plot, characters and writing. Haven’t been this excited about an author since finding Val Mcdermid and the Tony Hill series. Can’t wait for the next!
NC-17 book that would make a very frightening movie. Brutal sex, horrific murders, seen through the mind of a psycho killer.
One of the best books I have read. The character development was truly engrossing with many twists throughout the plot. It would not allow me to put it down especially with the every accelerating pace towards the ending. A real nail biter at the end.
Loved it! A page turner
It scared me, I couldn’t leave it till the last page
Not necessarily used to British novels, but this is easy to read and less predictable than many of this genre
This is more than dark, with no characters with any appeal in the first third of the book (after which I quit). The writing was okay, though not gripping. I have read a lot of dark books I liked, but I need at least one character I can root for. This book threw you into the mind of a truly evil killer from the outset. While the other main characters were not evil, none of them captured my interest enough to go along for the rest of the ride. The blurb talked about another key character; we needed to meet him before 1/3 of the book was done if he was going to save it.
Extreme violence to the point that it detracts from the story. Took a long time to get through the book.
interesting story about genetics.
Thoroughly enjoyed this edge af the seat thriller! Good character development with a humanizing relationship to offset the psychotic characters.
Fast read with some interesting characters. Liked the ending. I would like to read another of the author’s books.
Great character development.
Love this cast of characters! Good psychological crime drama.
If you find yourself about ready to get nicked by a lorry tyre go round the other side of the kerb. This is a smashing good example of differences of idioms.
This is a really intense thriller that I could not stop reading once I started.
