This is just an amazing book! I could hardly put it down! You should definitely read this book!
This is my first book by this author. I absolutely loved it. It was packed with action and suspense. It starts off during Hitler’s era and gives the reader a good feel of the harsh realities of life during the war. It later moves on to modern day with Jack Turner trying to solve a mystery. This was hard for me to put down until I had finished the book. I will definitely be back to read more from this author.~~~~This is a clean novel and I would recommend for all ages.
I’ve read book 1 and book 2 in this series and am looking forward to book 3. The author does a great job moving things along and keeps things interesting from beginning to end.
The details of this historical fiction book are amazing. The story is riveting. A tremendous read!
Another wonderfully written book from Dan Walsh!!! Since this event truly did happen, it was disturbing to read, but the book needs to be read so hopefully something like this will never happen again although it probably will.
Memorable.
It was a little slow getting started, but turned into an exciting and interesting story. I am really enjoying the books in this series. This has a historical as well as mystery storyline. Good read!
This is the 2nd book in the Jack Turner series and it is a wonderful read! If you like history and contemporary mysteries, this book is for you! I loved the way it was really two stories in one and the author did an amazing job of building the characters and suspense in both!
I’ll be rereading this book, it has stayed with me. Highly recommend.
This is a great mystery in San Walsh’s Jack Turner Suspense series. I learned a bit about the history of Dresden, Germany, at the end of WWII, as well as was entranced by this captivating story. I look forward to reading other mysteries by this author!
Great author, written well.
I really got into and enjoyed this book. It is part of a series but the book can be read independently. The characters were well done and had good depth.
The book made me more curious about World War II – especially since both my father and father-in-law were veterans. My father came home and was diagnosed as schizophrenic but after talking with veterans, health professionals, and now reading this book, I am convinced he had untreated PTSD. War affects people in so many ways.
Gets you thinking, I would recommend anything by Dan Walsh
I couldn’t put it down. It was tragic and heart wrenching especially because it was true.
As with all of the books I’ve read of this author’s, which I think is all of them so far, I loved this one very much. Another one I couldn’t put down.
Discovering information about deaths of pilots of a bombing raid that points to murder. A power hungry elitist senator will do anything to keep his late father from being exposed.
Learned about Dresden for the first time.Incredible story!
I am not a WWII book fan, but I found Dan Walsh to be a wonderful writer who kept my interest completely.
I do not read many mystery books but found this author to be a good story teller. I liked how he weaves the history of World War 11 through out this story and I learned some history of Dresden Germany during the war that I did not know. A fascinating read that kept me turning the pages well into the night. This is book two of the series and I highly recommend you read the first book “When Night Comes” as it is another great story about World War 11 and all the characters are well developed and the storyline is well told.
