Gunner Davidson walked away from the love of his life after tragedy stuck and he never looked back. Not even when his ex-girlfriend sent him letter after letter. He didn’t open a single one. Just tucked them away in a box and pretended to have a satisfying life as a paramedic with the Air Force Fire Protection Specialists. While dispatched on a 9-1-1 suicide call, Gunner is forced to relieve the … the worst day of his life…and his past collides with a future he didn’t know he had.
While he wasn’t prepared to see Arcadia Bloomingdale, he’s in total shock to meet his ten-year-old son. He vows to make it up to his son…as well as Arcadia.
However, when an investigation of rape and murder put his son and Arcadia in danger, Gunner will do whatever it takes to protect them and ensure they have a second chance at being a family.

The suicide of a close high school friend ended the relationship and love between Gunner Davidson and Arcadia Bloomingdale. Gunner joined the military and Arcadia was forced to move on with her life. She gave birth to Gunner’s son and mailed him letters, every year, with information about his son…which he never opened. They meet again ten years later and when he tells her that he never opened the letters, she urges him to read them. Will finding out that he has a son make a difference to him? Gunner reads the letters and knows that it is his own fault that he has lost ten years of his son’s life and ten years of love with Arcadia. Gunner and his group of beloved team members from previous wonderful books in this series are on the trail of a suspected rapist and murderer. As danger threatens Arcadia and his son, Gunner will use all the skills he learned in the military to protect them. I really liked the unique storyline that not only did Arcadia make sure that her son knew about his father, but Gunner would know about his son. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
Remember Me Always: Air Force Fire Protective Specialists
Jen Talty
A fast pace second chance story which covers a sensitive subject very well.
Loved Gunner and Arcadia’s story. They are strong characters who have you wanting them to have a happy ending.
Another great book in a super series.
This is book 7 in this series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the previous books because not only are they excellent but they also show the characters that you see in this book. This one is about Gunner Davidson and Arcadia Bloomingdale. Gunner had walked away from his life and his love after a horrifying experience. And even when she sent letter after letter, he never opened them or responded. But when he see’s her again, he certainly never expects to have his whole life thrown upside down. Or that because of his actions, he missed out on 10 years of his son’s life.
I absolutely loved this story!! Gunner and Arcadia have been through so much in their lives. And while the worst happened when they were younger, they still managed to survive it. Even if it led to making poor decisions in the mean time. Gunner may have tried to hold himself aloof but his team won’t let him stay that way. No matter what, they are family. And I love that about this series!! Arcadia is this strong as all get out woman who managed to do what needed to be done while still following her own path. And she raises this amazing little boy in the process! I loved every second of this book!! It beyond met my expectations!
This is the seventh book in this series and this is a series I read over and over and with so many good books in the world it has to be something pretty special to revisit it. So do yourself a favour and read the entire series
This is Gunners book when he was at school he had a sweetheart but stalking by an ex girlfriend caused him to leave and join the air-force In the process he broke Arcadia’s heart Every year she sends him a letter to update him on her life and the life of her son a son Gunner doesn’t know that he has because he never opens those letters he just stores them all away and pretends he has a great life when all he really has is his friends and been a paramedic. When his past crashes back into him in the shape of Arcadia and his son he will have to rethink his life and realise how many years he has wasted but with danger circling will he be able to keep Arcadia and Davidson Safe
I love this series so far. This is Gunner and Arcadia’s story. Gunner is Air Force and Fire Protection specialist. They were in love once, but a situation with his ex stalker girlfriend caused problems and he ended up leaving for the Air Force and left his new love behind. Well they have come full circle and there are some surprises for Gunner and trouble on the horizon. There’s some action, betrayals, secrets, murder all rolled into one. Excellent story.
Remember Me Always: WOW! Loved the suspense and excitement throughout the story! Fantastic writing and romance. Great emotions throughout the story! I could not put my kindle down it was so good!
I’m a sucker for a second chance. Give me a brooding gothic alpha military hero to go along with it and it’s better than catnip. Gunner and Arcadia have a rocky start that quickly goes from bad to worse to pure disaster before it has a chance of getting better. Their chemistry and humor crackle off the page making me want to know more. I’m so glad that we get to close the case that started in Burning Lies (Fire Protection Specialists #4). For the amount of chaos that continually surfaces in the lives of these servicemen and women, you could wonder if they’re some of the unluckiest people on the planet. But those dangerous situations bring them into contact with the loves of their lives and that actually makes them extraordinarily lucky. I hope this series goes on forever.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author
I loved this addition to the Special Forces: Operation Alpha world. The story is gripping and emotionally appealing, and the opening draws you in and keeps you engaged. For me, one of the book’s strongest points is its handling of the mental health issues that crop up; they are handled sensitively and intelligently, and the resolution of the case from Burning Lies is welcome – but the book doesn’t require that back story in order to make sense. There is a sense of inevitability for Gunner and Arcadia, and Ace’s determination not to break up his unit really pays dividends. I recommend this to fans of Jen Talty’s and to fans of the Operation Alpha world – great characters, good writing, and a fantastic story and ending.
This stand alone in this series features Gunner Davidson , Air Force Fire Protection Specialist, and Arcadia Bloomingdale, single mom and mental health specialist.
They had a history as a couple but when tragedy occurred ten years ago, Gunner left her, never knowing that he had a son.
By chance they meet again when they are both responding to a suicide patient.
There is a lot of hurt between them as well as a boy he had never met. As they reconnect, not only are there doubts in Acadia’s mind as to where they can get back together, but also evil surrounds them.
This is another well written story with a fast paced plot and complex characters.
In addition to the main plot, as she frequently does, the author brings to the forefront some social issue. In this case mental health. Kudos for reminding us that it’s always around us and it’s best treated with professional help.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed ares solely my own.
