Wow what a story.
Matt’s wife Lizzie has a secret and during the 4th of July weekend at his parents he hears her speaking about it with his brother(Ben).
They have a fight and the next day she goes for a shopping trip with her sister in law Megan. On the way back they speak about her secret and they get in an accident. Lizzie wakes up with her entire memory gone.
Matt feels guilty because he feels responsible after their fight.
Matt does everything in his power to get her happy memories back but tries to keep the one about her secret and their fight about it burried.
The book covers the struggle for Lizzie to get her memories back and for Matt to overcome her big secret what drove them apart just before the accident.
There’s a few extra emotional twists like the estranged relationship with her brother(Marcus) and Ben that she doesn’t remember. The so called ‘family friend’ who overhears Matt and Ben talking about her secret who comes to her house when Matt’s out and tells her the one thing Matt tries to keep from her.
The book is one big emotional rollercoaster. It takes his time so you can really get in the story and the characters.
Definitely worth the read
I really enjoyed Matt and Liz’s story.
A big secret come out, followed by an accident and then deal with the aftermath. This was so well written. You really
felt all emotions.
I loved seeing Matt fall deeper for Liz whilst trying to help her through remembering.
Absolutely lovely read
Loved this book so much! An emotional, heart wrenching second chance romance!
The story sucked me in from the very first page. Lizzy lost her memories in a car accident and Matt was trying to help her gain her memories back, or was he ? My favorite part was seeing the two character fall in love with each other again.
The story is beautiful, funny at parts and well written!
If you like angsty stories, this one is a must read!
This was my first book by Roxanne Tully. I was fortunate to win it in a giveaway. I was initially drawn into the story by reading the blurb. Let me start off by saying I rarely read the blurb and just dive into a book blind. I couldn’t wait to start reading this book and Roxanne did not disappoint.
Liz gets into a car accident, along with her sister-in-law, Megan. Megan escapes the accident with minor bruises compared to Liz, who loses her memory. Prior to the accident Liz and her husband had gotten into an argument because of something from the past that Liz never told him about. Now with no memory of who she is or who the people are around her, Liz needs to figure out who to trust and who she is. I can’t even imagine the turmoil both Liz and Matt are going through. Matt is fighting between wanting his wife back with her memories or leaving the past behind her. Liz wants to know it all, but is she really ready to know why her husband is hot and cold with her?
I had so much trouble putting the book down. I just had to know what was going to happen and when she would start to remember. I think Roxanne did a lovely job with this story, giving the reader so much dept from the characters and their emotions.
