This was such a good story! It was wonderful to see Ava grow into motherhood, loving her little girl. And it was so beautiful to see the relationship develop between Colin and Ava. Their emails and texts back and forth to each other were really special and it was a joy to read about their time together as they got to know each other in person. I loved this book from start to finish!
I read this novel on Kindle Unlimited.
I absolutely feel in love with this book! The characters were wonderful, Ava was my favorite. The friendship between Collin and Ava is fun and lively. The plot was well written and pulls the reader in, I couldn’t put this book down. There is so much to like about this book!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
This is book two in the Healing Hearts Series by Ginny Sterling. Incredible emotion. Colin Wilkes is an incredible man who has been through so much, unintentionally causing his best friend to lose part of his leg in Afghanistan. The angst this left him with and facing a Court Marshal for his actions weighs on him, yet he is willing to accept what everthe ruling adds to his fate.
Ava Richardson is a young woman that was leading a happy life until the moment it was ripped from her grasp by a stranger. Attacked and left with a child she neither expected or truthfully wanted at the time. She fears men, friendship and love. As Aurora begins to develop, Ava realizes she loves the little girl with all her heart and soul.
A chance email to Colin from Ava could be the catalyst they both desperately need. Can they help each other through some of the darkest times in their lives and truly find happiness again?
I admit during the last two chapters I had happy tears running down my face.
The plot of this book is emotion packed and beautifully written. Ginny Sterling’s talent at bringing stories to life is beyond incredible. This is a story I truly wish could be played out many times over for everyone in need of a Happily Ever After!
I received an ARC of the book and am choosing to leave an honest review.
Traumatic events in our lives definitely shape us but it depends on HOW they LET us shape us that determine how we live those lives. Ava and Colin both have singular days when something terrible happen to them that can determine the rest of their lives. They don’t know each other at that time but through mutual friends, they begin an online friendship as they try to navigate how to deal with, and move on from, the tragic experiences they each face. I found myself rooting for each of them as they took baby steps toward “normal” lives. It would be so hard in each of their cases to try to put the past behind them and try to feel deserving of love & friendship again. It’s important to take from this story that everyone is deserving of love, no matter what. Ava, for instance, had an experience happen to her that was not of her making so she should not continue to blame herself. Easy to say, not to do! I loved both Ava and Colin and was so happy they got together! Baby Aurora was also a favorite 🙂 Read this book and be ready for a tug on your heartstrings!
Ginny Sterling’s ‘Remember Love’ is the story of Ava coming to terms with a traumatic event that leaves her feeling powerless to cope with life.
Determination and pluckiness help her overcome her lack of confidence and take a chance on love with Colin, a fine young soldier with a heart of gold.
From a beginning that seems insurmountable, this author proves that second chances are worth the risk.
A gentle, heart-felt story, this is a romance you will not want to miss.
