I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I would recommend it to everyone!
Loved getting to see Eva and Dylan’s story. It was so good. Eva finally got a break from her hard lonely life. And Dylan heartbroken from his medical discharge, go d’s his soulmate. If you like clean heart felt stories, I highly recommend ‘Remember Courage ‘. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
Dylan was in Afghanistan when he learned he had diabetes and had to leave the military. He was devastated. He signed on at the Tyler, Texas Police Department as a dispatcher/police officer. One day, he meets Eva and is immediately smitten. Eva was working two jobs and going to school to earn her Bachelor’s degree to become a counselor or teacher, and she was overwhelmed. But, she was also very strongly attracted to Dylan. How can she juggle everything she has to do and still find time for Dylan? This is a great story about two people who find love in spite of their obstacles.
I have enjoyed every one of these books in the series! They are all standalone books but I definitely recommend reading all of them so you can enjoyed the brotherhood of these men in the military in Afghanistan as they share not only the trials and tribulations of serving together in a war zone, but meeting their one true loves stateside! This book is about Dylan and Eva. Both characters have difficult things going on in their lives that others around them might not know about. It struck me as I read this that we should not be judgmental of people because we don’t know what is happening “behind the scenes” in their lives and we should just be kind…that’s all, be kind! For Dylan, one moment, he’s in the military, doing what he loves and the next, he’s home after an honorable discharge due to a medical condition and it floors him! For Eva, she been through the foster system and had a hard time. She wants to make something of her life by going to college but financial things keep happening that halt her progress. She’s doing everything right and doesn’t understand what else she can do – enter Dylan trying to sweet talk her into a date and she doesn’t have time for this! Just see how these two help each other reach their dreams! A wonderful book!
I enjoyed this story! Especially since I have a family member who has Type 1 Diabetes, and know quite a few others that have it, too. I liked this story showing that you can do anything you want to do, you just have a few other steps you need to take along the way. I loved that Eva was willing to learn about Dylan’s condition and didn’t look at him differently. Dylan was also willing to give Eva what she thought she needed, and take what little she was willing to give, til she finally figured things out for herself.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
I enjoyed his book about Dylan & Eva finding love. His pursuit of her is fun. He is patient with her & encourages her ambition to get her degree. There is an HEA.
