Stubborn Dragons!
Yep, you heard that right – this book contains one very stubborn dragon, who is so caught up in his own world and what he believes a so-called prophecy might actually mean for him, that he refuses to see what’s right under his nose.
His “distraction” he found by accident on a Paranormal dating app, a distraction in the form of a witch called Dakota. She works out quite quickly that there is more to this dragon than meets the eye, but this damned stubborn dragon just refuses to play ball.
A quite fun back and forth ensues, before both finally accept what their fate actually means.
My only disappointment is that the book description doesn’t completely match the content – we are led to believe that it’s Achilles business that’s the reason he’s holding back, but we barely hear anything about that at all! Anyway, despite this little niggle, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Final rating: – Really liked
Dakota, a witch and Achilles, a dragon shifter hooked up from a dating ap for finding mates of paranormals. They both realized they were each other’s mate but fought the truth. He fought it because of what a precog said years before. She just didn’t want to get her heart broken again. Will Achilles give up all that matters to have his mate? Will Dakota risk a broken heart to have her mate? Fun read

This was an incredibly fun book to read with characters that will enchant you, make you laugh, make you fall in love and frustrate you. Achilles is looking for fun, Dakota is looking for a mate, when these two hook up it is bound to turn into a bit of a problem when it turns out they’re mates and only one of them is really thrilled about it. The author has done a great job of crafting characters that are likeable and relatable (even if they are paranormal beings) and a story that will keep you entertained from start to finish.

What’s not to love about a fated mate? Throw in a witch, a dragon, and a prediction and you have a mixture that will pull you in and make you a part of an easy to read story with characters like Dakota and Achilles, who are so easy to fall in love with. They’re also easy to shake your head at because of their stubbornness? Or is it their insecurity? Perhaps it’s their fear. Truly an enchanting story that deserves all five stars.
I liked both Dakota and Achilles and how they met through the app. I also felt like there was enough information to let me know about mates and familiars. I am glad in the end Achilles was able to let go of his fears and be with Dakota.

That first step is always the hardest. Dakota using Matchmaker, a paranormal dating app to date, maybe she’ll find her mate, not likely, but still maybe. Archilles, using the dating app as a hookup not wanting to get too attached, in case he finds his mate. They go on a date and both have ‘feels’ but deny its the mating call. They spend several days having inner dialogues about not wanting to get attached in case their mate comes along; but what if this is their mate? The inner dialogue dragged out too long. I just wanted to tell them to just try to talk to each other. Nice story. Do they finally talk to each other? Are they mates? What will grandmother say? Dakota pulled out her phone and looked for the Matchmater App. She had been stood up, so she was going to go back to using this App and see if she could find someone. Something seemed to be spurring her on to find a certain someone special. She found a dragon shifter who had disheveled black hair and a mischievous grin – not her type but without a second thought, she swiped right and was instantly matched! He typed in complete sentences, which impressed her; and he flirted back and forth with her in a fun way. She felt emboldened and invited him over – to which he agreed! If all they had was a night together, it would be worth it and she would blame it on being drunk.
Dakota’s familiar, a little dragon named Rhi, nudged her hand for some petting. Dakota told her she would have to go when Achilles arrived. No one but the witch who owned her could see a familiar — except maybe the witch’s mate, but she didn’t want to take the chance. When Achilles arrived, he was everything she needed and had a wonderful time together. When the App prompted her later as to whether she had found her mate, she just couldn’t select “no” and threw the phone back on the bed. She had felt something but wasn’t sure what. When Nina and Rosie came over to mourn Nina’s curse of yet another of her dates finding a mate right after they had gone out, Rosie told her Dakota could not stop thinking about her guy last night. Dakota denied it, but when they asked his eye color, she sighed “green”, and when they asked what shade of green, she talked about the turquoise hue of a Greek island, and both ladies nodded their agreement she was definitely in love!
Achilles went to see his Granny at a nursing home and she asked if he had found his mate. A precog witch 200 years ago had predicted he would find a mate he would give up everything for. Interpreting that literally, he didn’t want to do that and be left with nothing. His grandmother kept commenting on his mate, and his mind went to Dakota. She was so different than anyone else he dated. But he was so afraid of falling into a false mating that would ruin both of them because each would leave when their true mate came along. Why was his attraction so strong? Why couldn’t he get her off his mind?
This was a good book with very likable characters. Dakota was strong and intelligent, and despite the odd feelings she was having, she was willing to let Achilles go, thinking he was not her mate . . . and then she realized he was. But a week had passed with no word, so she ignored it and found another date on MatchMater. The next move would have to come from Achilles. Was he beginning to realize the mating bond too? Is it too late for them now?
The start of a new series called MatchMater Paranormal Dating App a well written short story.I want to read the next book. Achilles does not want a mate, Dakota has swiped yes to a dragon shifter on MatchMater. I enjoyed reading how these two get their happy ending. “Reluctant Dragon Mate” is a light, easy Saturday paranormal fantasy read. I love that it’s not the usual fated mates’ story and it wasn’t a smooth road. Grandma was the star of this book, we all need that sage advice sometimes. Dakota and Achilles were likable, independent and interesting characters. Laura Greenwood has given us a well-crafted, light-hearted, enjoyable storyline with a heroine who is independent and knows her worth and a mate who is smart enough to realize it before it’s too late. I highly recommend this read!

She has been using a dating app for shifters. She has been using it and going on dates. Some of them have been a lot worse than others. She gets drunk and swipes yes on him. She sends him a message and he sends one back and ends up at her apartment really fast. They have one night and then he ignores her. He tries to help her later on when she is on a bad date but she will have none of it. He wants her but is scared. It was a funny, enjoyable read. This was my first time reading a book by Laura Greenwood and I have to say she sis note disappoint. I LOVED this book! It’s about two paranormals, Achilles looking to have some fun and Dakota looking for her mate. After looking for her mate and not having many good dates Dakota goes on a mach maker site where she meets Achillies. She’s a witch and her’s a dragon shifter and years ago his grandmother had told him his fated mate would be a witch. But Achillies doesn’t want to believe it because he’s not ready for a mate. But I’ll end there, you’ll have to grab your self to find out if they get their HEA! This is a definite must read, how could go you wrong with a story about fated mates, a dragon shifter, a witch, paranomals and a dating app? I LOVED this book!

I really liked the idea of shifters using a dating app to try to find their mate. It is the age of technology after all and even dragons have to keep up with the times! The personalities of Dakota and Achilles really came through in the book and I felt like they were individuals I could encounter during the course of a regular day. So glad Dakota kept her strong, confident persona all the way to the end and that Achilles was able to overcome his past and learn to trust his feelings for her. The grandmother was the perfect addition to put this book into my keeper file to be read and enjoyed again and again!

The conflict in this book is a little different than usual most. Achilles is afraid of being anyone’s mate because of a precognition. Dakota recognizes him as her mate and is frustrated with how he treats her. Thank goodness for his grandmother! This is another good effort from Laura Greenwood. Some sexy scenes and lots of emotion and a good story. It’s not very long so would be good way to spend an afternoon.

I love dragons so this was great for me. But it also includes a modern version of dating for paranormals and it was fun. It was steamy and the connection between mates is undeniable.

This is such a sweet story about two people over-coming their own issues to start their mated relationship. The story starts off with Dakota being stood up and ends with her meeting the mate of her dreams. I quite enjoyed the short story and eagerly cheered Dakota on the entire way. I’d love to read more about what life would be like between these two characters and how their families would react to each other…will definitely look into reading the second book in the hopes of seeing more flashes about their life together.

Achilles, a dragon shifter, and Dakota, a witch, met through the Matchmater App. Achilles resisted her as his mate because he was told by his grandmother that she was told by a precog witch that he would lose all when he accepted his mate. Cute, short, sexy read with good characters. Good read.

Dakota is looking for her mate and has been using a dating site. So far all the dates have not been good. She comes home from one and goes back on the site and starts looking again. She sees Achilles profile and swipes right and sends him a message. He sends one back and he ends up coming over to Dakota’s house. Achilles has feelings for Dakota that he has never had for anyone before. He is reluctant to even think of her as his mate because of something that was said to him years ago. He can’t stop thinking about her but he will not contact her. Dakota takes the rejection from Achilles ok because she can’t do anything about it. Dakota is out on another date when Achilles sees her and things are not going well for her and he steps in to help her. She tells him that he lost the right to anything doing with her when he ignored her and walks away.
Will Achilles realize that Dakota is his mate and go to her and apologize to her for the way he has been acting and tell her the reason for it.
If Achilles comes to apologize will Dakota forgive him and move forward with him, or will she tell him to go away?
I enjoyed this book and would recommend this book to anyone.

This is such a great short story. Reluctant Dragon Mate follows Dakota and Achilles on their mating bond. who would have thought of a dating app for paranormals. Yes, you get the sense during the book how paranormals are looking for their mates. What could happen if they deny their bond, or if they choose someone who lengthwise mate to later find them. The struggle that paranormals go through and the pressure out on themselves. Dakota and Achilles are no different except they are trying to push each other away when they obviously feel The bond. what they put each other through is a bit harsh. However there is a happily ever after ending.
MatchMater. The world’s only dating app for paranormals. Witch Dakota accepts a date with dragon shifter Achilles only to discover he is her mate. Achilles is reluctant to be her mate. Can they work out their differences and have their happily ever after? Great paranormal romance. I’m looking forward to more books in the series.
