Another great classic to add to the list for this author. A non-stop attention grabbing story line from beginning to end. You never know where or from whom the next gunshot will come from. The Gray Man is besieged on all sides with spy versus spy, and gunmen versus everybody. You have a pretty good sense of the good guys and bad guys are , but that changes thru out the novel. Which made it more enjoyable and very easy to read. The city research and minute details around the cityscapes really puts you in the driver seat. The vivid details of the combat scenes makes it feel like you are actually right alongside the characters.
Not the best Orphan X book. It couldn’t decide if it wanted to be an action thriller or more touchy-feely ‘family man assassin’. Somehow the underlying story line about the whole Orphan program became something of a garbled mess. The ending was not quite believable.
The Gray Man stories keep getting better and better! The gang’s all here for this one. Love the interactions between the poisoned apple assets. The action scenarios are awesome and a bit scary.
Mark Greaney’s tenth Gray Man adventure is propulsive, exciting, and better than the last. The incendiary action never relents as readers are held captive until the dynamite ending. The Gray Man adventure takes readers to Europe, the Middle East, and Central America, all exotic and potentially dangerous. The team must find a renegade National Security officer who has stolen a facial recognition program that can expose the identities of U.S. intelligence operatives. Loyalties are ever-changing as it becomes increasingly difficult to tell the good guys from the bad. The Gray Man team faces an uphill battle to ensure that all ends well. A roller-coaster ride that will lead you to all the previous Gray Man outings.
Referred to as The Gray Man, Court Gentry, is an undercover operative for the CIA. He is so undercover that most of the CIA do not even know about it. He along with Zoya and Zack create a task force of three whose job it is to tackle those things that the CIA can deny having any knowledge about. Desperately sick and needing constant IVs and medical care due to a severe infection, Court is called upon by his “boss” to return to the field immediately even though his doctor strongly advises against it. Zoya is in Berlin undercover and Zack is missing so that leaves the job up to him. Non-stop action make all of these amazing books in the Gray Man series a great read for anyone who likes thriller, action-adventure and mystery books. Thank you Net Galley, Berkley Publishing Group and Mark Greaney for the ARC of this e-book to read in exchange for an honest review. #relentless#netgalley
I don’t know how Greaney does it over and over. The intricate plots; the nonstop action; the highly detailed characters that work perfectly together. This story never lets up from the time you begin it to the big, fat suspended swivel at the end.
This story was a trip. There were so many twists and turns I honestly lost track of who was manipulating whom and what country was implicating others and masterminding all of the terror. So many dirty hands in the pot.
One thing is undoubtedly clear and that is this author has created a fantastic series that will have to live on for years to come. No matter how many times you read about the Gray Man it never gets old. It’s certainly never boring and you can’t help getting so involved in the fast pace you do not want to stop reading.
Not only is the Gray Man kick ass in this story again, but Zach and Zoya are there in many of these heart-pounding situations. From the US to Venezuela to Germany to Dubai, the world is getting smaller and these operators are the best of the best working to save the good from the evil or at least minimize the threat and fallout.
With characters you love to hate and others that feel so real, Relentless is a novel of huge proportions that builds as it goes to a massive explosion of complex action then leaves you in high anticipation of what’s to come. Greaney is truly a master of black ops details, exceptional creativity, and a storyteller like none other.
