All Grace Copeland wants is a mate. The good news is that for the last year she’s known that Jack Taylor is her mate. The bad news is that he wants nothing to do with her. When he publicly rejects her, Grace’s world comes crashing down. Humiliated and angry with herself, Grace decides it’s time to get her life in order. Moving to the outskirts of town, she starts rebuilding her family cabin and … cabin and her life.
Alone in the middle of the woods, Grace becomes the target for a group of untraceable rogue wolves. With her life in danger, she has no choice but to accept help from the man who rejected her.
All Jack Taylor wants is to be left alone.
He definitely doesn’t need a nosy mate like Grace Copeland. Especially when there are rogue wolves attacking local Packs. Jack has better things to do than spending his time avoiding Grace.
When she suddenly moves out of town he should feel relieved but he can’t stop thinking that he made a huge mistake by rejecting her. He also can’t ignore the feeling that she is in danger. The only problem now is that Grace doesn’t want him in her life anymore. With rogues closing in Jack decides she doesn’t have much of choice in the matter.

I really wanted to love this book because rejected mates is so interesting to me, but this book feel short for me.
For one thing, I am not usually a stickler for grammar and can ignore some errors, but this book definitely needs an editor or someone to go over it because it mostly had errors. These types of errors consisted of name swapping errors, wrong use of him/her, wrong words, etc. it unfortunately made reading this book a bit difficult and confusing.
Now onto the story I liked how Grace decided to change her life after being rejected by Jake, but going to live alone in the woods during a Rogue outbreak probably wasn’t the smartest idea. I really disliked Jack for what he did to Grace: dating other women, ignoring/avoiding her for over a year and then completely rejecting her when knowing full well that she was his mate. However, what I dislike the most was Grace’s easy forgiveness of Jack like he hadn’t crushed her heart.
I would have enjoyed it more if she and Dane dated a bit just to give her variety, but unfortunately that doesn’t happen, although their closeness did piss off Jack. I took pleasure in all aspects of Jack being jealous and acting like idiot, but I absolutely enjoyed it when Grace introduced Dane, her contractor and temporary protector, Jack was not pleased.
I just needed more backbone from Grace, basically Jack said he wanted her and she said okay and things took off from there.
I really loved Grace’s friends, Holly, Anne and Betsy (human) and now Ivy (majorly helpful in the end). I am looking forward to Betsey and Paul’s book as well as Ivy’s book with her two mates, Ezra and Ezekiel Tate (the twins).
I really didn’t understand the big conflict with the Rogues and magic at the end, not sure if it wasn’t explained well or if I just didn’t understand with all the mistakes in it.
Grace has had enough; her mate rejects her and the old goats in town conspired to help keep her from her mate. She decides she done with the old bats in tow and moves to her family cabin to get away from it all.
I really liked Grace and her girlfriends; they were lively and fun. I am pretty sure the male population of Black Bird needs to grow aa few more smart brain cells. Jack is to afraid of mating to even try to get to know Grace so I don’t blame her for calling it quits when he rejects her. Then there was Paul, who clearly knows who his mate is but must have forgotten she is human and probably doesn’t know they are mates. That old bat, Mrs. Pierce needs some one to give her swirly in a dirty toilet bowl.
I really liked the story line in Rejected, I was pulled into the pages the minute my eyes hit them and had a great reading momentum and then bang an edit. Thankfully, there were not a lot of edits but the ones in Rejected seemed always appear in key spots that messed with the best scenes in the book. Other than the few edits the storyline was clear and consistent and the characters were likeable, well except for the rogues and that old bat Mrs. Pierce and her goon squad. If I ever read Rejected again I may upgrade to a 5 star rating but because I am uncertain of that I think 4 stars makes more sense because I really liked the book but don’t know that I want to read it again in the future.
