What’s the saying: keep your friends close and your enemies closer? Guess I’m about to find out just how difficult that really is. I might have my best friend back but his safety and that of my chosen family depends on me doing something I vowed never to do. Join Camden’s crew. Thing is, you don’t turn down the leader of Hackney’s Hackers and then get a second chance without forfeiting … without forfeiting something in return. The relationships I was just starting to build, is that too high of a price?
Sonny with his joking nature and dimples.
Ford with his mysterious dominance and protective instinct.
Eastern with his unyielding loyalty and feeling of home.
This term at Oceanside Academy, my sanity will be pushed to the limit as I walk the fine line between friend and foe. All I know is this better be worth it because I’m about to learn something important about myself. I was happy being a delinquent, but a reject…? Not so much.

I love this series for a variety of reasons. One of the main ones being that I can relate to these characters in ways that some may not be able to. I am a school teacher in an alternative school. All of my students have problems. Some are visible and most are not. Some manifest themselves in a way that often get them in trouble with the law and sent to places like the school that Asia, Camden, Eastern, Ford, and Sonny find themselves in. Some come back stronger and some come back even more vulnerable than before. That is what I loved about this book. You get to see the more vulnerable side of these characters in ways that you may not have believed possible yet. Bea Paige is a master at creating these characters who are so scarred that not all are visible. None of them truly know how to trust or what it feels like to be truly loved for who they are. But with this book, they are learning. Their scars are becoming visible and they are growing together as a family in a way that I know they did not expect. They have their ups and downs, but at the heart of it, they are truly becoming a strong and cohesive unit that will need to be unbreakable to face what I know is probably coming. I love the appearance of well loved characters from a previous series, as it gave me a chance to remember and love them again. The bombshell towards the end shocked and excited me at the same time, as it sets up an interesting conundrum for these characters in their next adventure. I truly have grown to love these characters and I cannot wait to see what is in store for them next.
I think I loved the sequel more than Delinquent! Asia’s made a decision to protect those that she loves and all of her friendships and relationships seem to be shaky and rocky because of it. Pink sticks by her, even though she’s in the dark about Asia’s reasoning, and that only makes me love her more. I loved learning so much more about these characters- Kate’s past, Camden and Ford’s hostility to one another, and so much more. We definitely get to see the most vulnerable sides of these tough, damaged characters and it’s hauntingly realistic. I actually started to like Eastern more in this book, which was definitely a plus. I have never been so invested in characters before and have my heart aching for them like Bea makes me. I’m so excited, yet extremely sad that this story will be coming to an end soon!
*I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review
I love the fire and sass Asia has. Each man is so unique and they truly balance each other well. And that ending!! UGH! Makes me want the next book right now!
Oh my goodness! I have a slew of curse words ready to pour out of my mouth Man I didn’t think that book 2 was going to be so amazing!!! I mean I absolutely love everything this author has written but dang! Asia, Camden, Ford, Eastern, and Sonny definitely grow as characters. Love how their relationship isn’t rushed. Lots of secrets revealed and man I definitely did not see that surprise coming!! I cannot wait for more!
Oh Lord Bea Paige has done it again … the characters were set up in delinquent and they’ve really come into there own in Reject … Asia has to make some super difficult deciding in this book … there’s some highs and there’s some lows … all she wants it’s to take control of her own life and that’s proving to be more difficult then she anticipated!!! Can’t wait to read book 3
No spoilers of any kind included.
I thought Reject was good and I’m going to leave it at that.
Bea Paige is a great story weaver and she knows how to keep her readers hooked which is why I always look forward to her books.
But yes I do recommend this book but if you haven’t read the first book then I highly suggest that you do.
It’s always hard to read the sequel because your expectations have been set with the previous book, however author Bea Paige not only met my expectations—she exceeded them!
Reject is filled with so many things you didn’t know you needed within a story like this.
Asia continues to be this strong BAMF that we’ve come to know and respect. I love her!
I love the dynamic between her and each of our leading men. I love the dynamic between the guys themselves too!
I love how natural things flow for these characters; the author doesn’t just shove people together and try to make it work. They come together in a way that’s painful; honest and real.
Bea Paige has created characters that not only make you feel—TRULY feel—but she has brought them to life with such a raw, stark honesty that it leaves you breathless and in awe.
Asia is having to make some tough choices in this installment of her story. I love seeing how the relationships develop as the story goes on and the plot flows smoothly and keeps you captivated throughout.
What a great story….and that ending, wow! I did not see that coming! Asia is such a fun character, I love reading about her developing relationships – both with the 4 boys and with Kate and Pink. I enjoyed the integration of the Freed brothers and Louisa (from the Brothers Freed trilogy). I can’t wait for book 3
I fell in love with this author reading another of her series and this one is no different. It pulls you in from the beginning the main character Asia has been through so much in her 17 years of life more than any teenager should have to deal with. But she continues to push forward even when it means going against everything she’s believed in and said she wouldn’t. But that’s just Asia she would do anything to protect the people she loves and cares for even if it means joining the enemy. She proves that to us by giving in to save her best friend Eastern. Then we have the other guys that are slowly but surely seeping into Asia’s heart. Sonny, Ford, and Camden as well grow on heart throughout the story. They each have their own damaging background that makes you drawn to them all and hurt for them as well as hope everything works out for everyone there are so many twists and different situations that keep you turning pages from start to finish it’s insane and Bea had me trapped with this book just like book 1 did. I can’t wait for book 3 in the series I know it will be no different especially with the ending we just read in this book. Book 3 Family cannot get here soon enough. If you haven’t started this series I suggest doing that as soon as possible because you truly are missing out on a masterpiece.
Oceanside Academy is back, along with a new student.
A deal was struck and here he is but how high is the price upon her for his get out of jail card.
Can she stay strong and deliver her part of the deal or will her heart come into play.
Hatred in the eyes of some, love and adoration in the eyes of others but is she truly safe with anyone?
I have been waiting for this book for what feels like a lifetime!! and oh my gosh my love just grew tenfold for this series!!
The first book in the series “delinquent” completely blew my mind and is now my go to book. A read for all occasions, no matter the mood.
Here the characters continue to dazzle your mind and consume your thoughts with their dangerous devotion and reckless behaviour.
So many secrets and lies, that could devastate their unstable reletionships. I found I was holding my breath awaiting the ship sinking!
Bea Paige continues to shock and surprise the life out of me with the twists and turns but still I cant decide who I want the most!!
Maybe book three “Family” will give me that answer!
I havent been this excited and hyper in a long time about a trilogy and all I want to do is shout it loud and proud for all to hear..
FIVE STARS from start to finish my must read book of October!!
Wow……. I was not expecting Reject to be better than Delinquent but holy moly this is an absolutely stunning story and is full of surprises. You will full in love with Asia she is a sassy girl who fights for what she believes in. The characters are amazing and the ending will hit you right between the chest, this will leave you wanting more…. I know I did, but I can’t wait to see what happens in book 3. You need to read this it really is amazing
If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would.
Bea gets you right in the heart with this Gritty, Twistedly Beautiful series.
When you read this book, you can tell that every word has a purpose. There was not a single moment in this book that left me scanning the pages. I was addicted to these words and couldn’t get enough.
I was so enthralled with Delinquent that I wasn’t sure this one could hold a candle to it. But low and behold, it just built this up to an even higher standard.
This story starts off right where we were left with book 1. She didn’t gloss over anything or make you feel like you lose out on any vital moments. This story builds and builds until you wonder where in the world she is going to take it. Might I add, in the most honest, realistic way possible. I know I stated this with the last book but it still rings true…I think that’s what gets me with Asia and her men. They are so REAL. They are scarred and tormented in each their own ways. They were not MADE beautiful. They just ARE. They are who they are and do not apologize. Bea doesn’t “make” them into the perfect characters and wrap it all up with a beautiful bow. She takes those characters and she hits you with them right in the heart until you feel like it might burst.
The transitions in this story and the world building continue to amaze me… the DETAILS! I feel like I am putting together a puzzle and am scrambling for all of the pieces. Because, Y’ALL. The ending will have you reeling. I can’t lie and say that I hadn’t put it together already, but it didn’t hit any less.
Thank you for putting my straight into a book rut Bea… it is hard to find anything that measures up!
Spoilers afoot
bea paige youre an amazing author reject the 2nd installment of asia and her boys story was fantastic and gut wrenchingly devastating at the same time asia and her boys grew closer in this book and the boys came together at last and got there stuff sorted out between them and are now all firmly on asias side i devoured my way through this book from start to finish and loved every bit of it even the parts you killed me in bea 🙂 and ahh that ending with the biggest reveal of the whole book well 2 biggest reveals firstly monk being her brother and the king her father ahhhh i didnt see that coming but yet i wonder if you were trying to hint that at us it eas also good to see many familar faces from the freed brothers trilogy regardless bea paige congratulations you have destroyed me lol cant wait for the finale to asias and her boys story
Omg now that is a good book! This book has everything and you don’t know what’s gonna happen next. I was on the edge of my seat. There was so much going on. It’s a totally emotional roller coaster. AND…THAT….ENDING! I’m dying! I NEED book 3!
Teenage drama was never like this when i was at school, lol. Secrets, Lies, Back-stabbing, Uncovered Truths, Sexual tension but above all else its about family (and those you choose to be it) loyalty and belonging. About finding yourself and your place with people that think and feel the same as you. Finding your tribe. Although Asia’s (FMC) tribe is a dysfunctional one Camden, Eastern, Ford and Sunny only seem to have a shaky loyalty to her regardless of what happens in this book. I couldnt love a set of characters more. This series grabs you from the very beginning and doesnt let you go even after youve finished it. Just fan-flaming-tastic!
I love how this just jumps right back in where Delinquent left off. Every action and reaction between all of the characters are so good, sometimes heart wrenching, but worth every emotion you’ll have. I couldn’t love this series more. The ending is going to be amazing and I’m so hopeful for a happy ending for these strong, damaged, loving, poor, kids.
Asia and her guys are totally great! This book gave me a rollercoaster of emotions! Love it completely!
Omfg What a book it’s full of tension , that builds and builds and then the book just ends and wow what a ending …….Asia is a strong ,independent , young women that speaks her mind dame the consequences she fights for what she believe and protects what hers ….she is one of the best MCs and I love her her boys are yummy and drool worthy that makes me want to be a 17 year old again this book had me by the short and cur-lies and I couldn’t put the book down …….. the ending will hit your right in the chest and leave you wanting and begging for the next book …love it loved it and can’t wait for book 3 bring on December
This story packs one heck of a punch and doesn’t let up. The tension just keeps building and building through the pages and turns you inside out. Asia is once again the strong, fierce, big hearted survivor that we met in Delinquents, but the growth she undergoes in Reject makes her one of my absolute favorite female MCs. As she struggles, strives, fights, and falls, we feel everything single thing with her. Her men are so different, delicious, and sexy that it is as easy to fall for them as breathing. With an ending that’s solid, but definitely not finished, the last page will stick with you until resolved. It was well written, funny, tragic, and riveting the whole way through. If you pick up this book, be ready to get nothing done until Asia is through with you. I couldn’t put it down!
