Loved this book!!! We officially meet the Henchmen MC! If your reading Jessica’s books by the reading order she has on her website you will have met him during Shane’s book. He’s the president of his motorcycle club. They are gun runners. When he hears a crash and sees a women running in the middle of a hurricane he has her climb on the back of his bike and takes her home. Summer was a prisoner to a skin trader named V. But there’s a twist we don’t know is coming. Actually a couple of them. We also meet even more new players. This book is smokin hot too. All Jessica’s books I’ve read so far are. She’s a great writer!
Okay. So Jessica Gadziala gave another hero to fall in love with. Reign was all alpha and super delicious!
Summer was being held captive by V, an infamous human trafficker. A hurricane timed itself perfectly with her escape attempt. After crashing her escape car, and seeing someone coming after her, she takes off running. She has no intention of going back. Lucky for her, the knight in shining armor isn’t planning on giving her back.
The passion and chemistry between Reign and Summer was amazing. The author did a great job of providing sensitivity for what Summer went through, giving a glimpse of Reign’s softer side.
I got off on the intensity of Summer’s situation. Can you imagine being kidnapped and tortured, getting away, finding comfort and safety with an mc club prez, getting kidnapped again, then again, and then tortured some more?
While I didn’t love Summer, I liked her well enough. I just don’t like women who are delusional and she suffered a few delusions. Like being as tough as the men in the MC. Girl… please.
This from the girl who had never fired a gun. A girl who had absolutely NO self-defense abilities. A girl who was like a fish out of water. Stop it.
Reign was everything. From his tendency to say incomplete sentences to his heart and caring for Summer, he was easy to love.
After finding my way through all the mayhem of this book, I can’t wait to find out what happens in Cash’s book. As Reign’s brother, I’ve been able to see their similarities and their glaring differences. Cash seems a lot more laid back. I wonder if his leading lady will be the badass Lo. And I cannot wait for Wolf’s book.
Absolutely love the Henchmen series and all series by Jessica. I fell in love with all her characters. They reappear and intertwine in her books. And talk about hot steamy romance! Oh yeah. If you love strong females and alpha males, check her out.
If you haven’t been reading Jessica Gadziala you are truly missing out! Reign was the first of her books that I read and is my all time favorite. Not only do you fall in love with the main characters but her secondary characters as well which will have you reaching for the next book before your done with the first.
So I just did a re-read of this book for the 4th or 5th time now and it still so good. I actually changed my 4 star to a 5 star.
I cannot remember if this was the first book of Jessica Gadziala I read but I have pretty much read all of her books (except maybe one) and this one still resonates with me. Summer is an amazing heroine, she goes from being pampered to being kidnapped for months! She is abused, starved, humiliated and scared out of her mind but still had the will power to escape. She becomes such a baddass!! She then meets Reign, the president of the Henchmen MC and what explosive chemistry they have. I’m still in awe of her when one of her torturers is caught and her reaction to him, it was awesome! And oh Reign, talk about an alpha! I loved how protective he became of her, he’s the stereotypical bad boy (he is the president of an MC!) but I loved how he couldn’t help himself.
I originally read this book over a year ago so its hard to put into words how surprising the twists and turns this book has, especially since I read the Fall of V already. But for a first time reader, it would be a shocker.
This was such a great book! I can’t wait for the Navesink Bank Legacy series.
Read this one! It starts the many series that all take place in Navesink Bank NJ. This is the beginning of the MC series. It is a good one, even if MC isn’t your thing. All of Jessica Gadziala books are stand alone, but they are mostly also interconnected. I have not read even one that I didn’t love.
Incredible beginning to a fantastic series.
This book starts of during a hurricane and the storm never stops. Reign and Summer story is very faced paced with tons of drama. Before I knew it the story was ending and I wanted more. Pulled me right in can’t wait to read more about the henchmen.
I love MC romances and Jessica Gadziala started The Henchmen MC series off with a bang! I just love Reign and Summer!
Reign and Summer are like fire and ice, oil and vinegar. Their attraction is intense and jumps off the pages right from the start.
Summer has a terrible past and meets Reign while she’s trying to run away from her past. She didn’t plan on him, he didn’t plan on her, but sometimes fate has other plans. Reign is the big, sexy, bad MC president.
Reign is full of action, violence, and steamy scenes that had me turning page after page. The twist and turns in this book had my heart hurting for Summer. She went through so much. And having the people who did what they did be who they were I was just so crushed for her.
Reign and Summer were absolutely made for each other. I’m pretty certain that their arguing like an old marry couple was a weird form of foreplay because they could not keep their hands off of each other.
Reign is a fantastic introduction into the MC world if you have not read them before, and also to Jessica Gadziala then rain is also an amazing look at what she can do.
4.5 Suprising Stars
I was so surprised by this book! I had never heard of Jessica Gadziala before and to be honest I would never have bought this book. I picked it up from kindle unlimited. I loved it and I love that I now have the whole series (Both of them) to catch up on!
He swept in all badass Prince charming and saved me.
I loved Reign from the start and even Summer was very likable through the whole book.
The story was great and I liked the few little twists towards the end.
Jessica Gadziala
I read this some time ago & Just loved & had to reread it
New author for me. Good quick MC read about Reign, the president of his MC, saves Summer, a tortured and beaten girl, who just made a desperate escape from a vicious skin trader who has kept her captive, abusing and starving her for months.
Reign and Summer are such an unlikely duo! The last 20-30% of the book has a couple twist that I didn’t see coming …….My major disappointment with this book is that there aren’t other books in this series to read after this. I’d love to read about Cash and Even Wolf …. Ms. Gadziala picked up the plot and bond of characters towards the end where I was wanting more.
the twist at the end wasn’t expected, so that was pretty great. I wasn’t a big fan of the two voice actors, they seemed flat to me, but that could just be a me thing. the sex scenes were hawt. they had chemistry, but I had a hard time with Summer.
While her trauma was addressed, it still felt a bit cavalier. also, I would have appreciated seeing why everyone in the club suddenly fell in love with her.
Low sounds cool. I’d read the crap out of a book about Low. I had hoped Cash & Low would knock boots, but I checked his book, nope. 🙁
but it’s not a bad read. hits all the good notes for an MC Romance
I love this book. This was my first book from Jessica and I fell in love with her writing style and she is my 1click author. Highly recommend her books. And this story was original and i just love it. Reign is so so hot.
The book was packed with action and what Summer went through was so well told that I really enjoyed the book. Jessica has a lovely writing style. LOVE
This was my first read by this author and it was a really good one!! The story was has a lot of twist that I didn’t see coming and poor Summer. I was glad to see her stand up for herself and fight back. I love a strong heroine. Reign was an awesome protective, fierce, foul mouth, loveable alpha male who fits Summer perfectly. There was a lot of action that kept me reading to see what happens. I can’t wait to read about Wolf and Cash!!!
I’ve had this book for about a year now, goodnees knows how it got passed over but I finally got to itband it was quite enjoyable! I thought it was going to be a bit darker or more gritty but really it was just a great MC read with a lot of humor. I liked all the characters and the plot was easy to follow. I would very much like more on a bunch of characters, bith MC brothers and others.
I did think that Summer was slightly too naive in parts and a bit too funny at times. She certainly brought humor but I thought her character was inconsistent at times. I also thought there were a few secenes that were unnecessary, they didn’t add anything to the story or were repetitive.
Over all a great story and series I will be continuing. I am really looking forward to Wolf’s!
This book was one surprise after another! I was drawn in instantly and this book didn’t let go until I got to the last page. I loved all these characters! They were all intriguing and everyone had so many secrets! This is a perfect MC book. It doesn’t shy away from the seedier MC life but it does give the love is forever kind of romance. Are there terrible things that happen? Yes. If you have delicate sensibilities or don’t like the darker side of romance..don’t get this book. This still has the family feel, solidarity of friends and love of a good man/woman. Not to mention a good slap on the rear, heart wrenching emotions and few guns going off.
All in all I Loved it!
This is my first by this author and she did such a good job making me care about the characters. I will be getting Cash’s story. I really thought he and Lo would get together but nope. Anyway the story rocks and rates up pretty high on my MC books.
The first Henchmen 🙂 Reign. In a world of bad people you will fall in love with some of these bad(good, interesting) men and the strong, funny, amazing ladies. Reign&Summer are great characters, their story is entertaining (emotional, action, etc.) and you will feel like you are there beside them, fighting with them…
What a great read, had it read in one day!! The book is suspenseful and the twists and turns are crazy, the main characters are great and love the secondary characters, even Summer’s parents intrigued me-you know we haven’t heard the last of those two. Love Reign and Summer, will be reading the rest of the series.
Another great cast of characters introduced. Each of these books are a series within themselves but there are a few cross over characters that end up in each of the books that just whet your appetite for all of their stories.
Story start out with Summer escaping from a place she had been tortured at for 3 months by a vicious skin trader. After wrecking the car she escaped in she is rescued by a man named Reign who is the president of the Henchmans MC.
So far each of the books I’ve read from this author – Monster, For a Good Time, Call…, Dark Mysteries and now Reign there have been one or more crime syndicates introduced. Either the hero or heroine are somehow related or involved in someway to them. As I am reading these books out of order they seemed to be leading up to a confrontation which spills over in Monster. Having read Monster first I didnt know a few of the players that were targeted. Now after reading Reign I’ve now been introduced to them all. All I can say is bravo to the author for interlinking her characters across many series so that were hooked to wanting to read them all to not miss out on anything.
This book had quite a few surprises throughout it on who was who, no one was who you thought they were.
