I liked that this book was unpredictable. A fallen angel apocalyptic world! Characters were great. Storyline is mysterious, you never quite know what is going on or what will happen next. Action scenes were well written. The magic show was probably my favorite scene. Lucy is my favorite character so far. Glad I don’t have to wait for book 2 because I need to know what is happening!!!
I read Reign of Angels 1: Revelation in a single afternoon. This is a great start to a YA/NA series and her world building outlining the Apocalypse is dynamic and nail biting. Kareena represents a strong young woman who, while afraid, has the ability to face her fears head on. And Tristin is a complex character who you either want to hug or strangle. I am looking forward to the second book. I have some ideas on one of the less likable characters, and I’m waiting to see if I’m right or not. Well done, L.G.!
The author crafted this book using a wonderful imagination. The characters were relatable. The story had mystery, suspense and intrigue. It kept me entertained by the twists and turns. I loved reading this book and cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Very much like the story. It does end on a cliff hanger so you will need to read the next ones. It’s well written and an interesting take on Angels.

The story is about Karenna and Jo, two high school seniors that head to Las Vegas for some fun. Little do they know that they are in for a crazy time. The story really begins at Hoover Damn and get wild and fun from there. They meet interesting characters that Karenna and Jo think are just normal people but instead that end up being real Angels and then the fun really begins. Our girls end up learning way more then they figured and Karenna learns secrets and how she might lit into what is really going in as her slice of the world ends up in being destroyed. It was a good story that sucked me in as I just new something crazy was going to happen and boy did it happen. I was entertained and cannot wait to see what happens next. Have to know what other secrets are going to pop up next.
Wow this was incredible from the start!!!! Karenna and Jo were great characters. Add in Tristan, Val, Zac, and Calder, this was a great first book. The chaos, the emotion was all so intense and yet the twists in the story were so unexpected. I can not wait to read the next book!

Interesting story line with a great main female lead and a whole new world to figure out. I voluntarily received this book for an honest review.
Karenna and Jo decide to lie to their parents and go off to Las Vegas for school break. While on there way they meet up with a magical group of people. They are invited to the magic show in Las Vegas. During an after show party the news starts showing bad things happening around the world. They soon find out that some of the people are angels. There are good and bad ones. A war has begun against the human race from a faction of angels. This is a fast paced action packed storyline with lots of angelic interaction. Who is who? Which ones are good and which are bad? This left you wanting to read more. I can not wait to see what happens with the books in this series.

I received a review copy of this book.
As much as I enjoyed L.G. Castillo’s previous angel series and recall being pulled into it right away, I had a lot of trouble with this one. I was very bored for the first 20% of the chapter and was finding it hard to stay engaged with the book. Based on only 20%, I needed to give it a better shot to get better.
And it did get better! I think what I find most interesting about this book is how unlike other paranormal books, they didn’t spend the novel figuring out his secrets and then suddenly be thrown into a war that has been happening for ages. Instead, she learns by being caught within the war and when she is saved by a flying guy, there’s obviously questions that arise.
On the flip side of that, she accepted this all way too easily. I suppose it’s hard to deny when living proof is in front of you, but still. It just seemed to be accepted and moved on without many questions of how it’s all possible. I think even if the world was blowing up in front of me, I’d still be shocked that angels are real.
The romance between Tristan and and the character is slow-burning and cute. Not much happened other than a kiss and longing looks. Considering where this book is going, I think it is appropriate for the pacing. I look forward to further development of this.
While I was enjoying the book and will read the rest of the series, I didn’t find it uber entertaining. While it kept me going, I wasn’t loving it.
