A simple Mayan girl. A powerful spirit. A bloodthirsty monster. All leading to a desperate quest. When the Mayan calendar ended some people scoffed while others joked and a few waited for the end of the world. After living half her life apart from her native people, Dalia no longer believes in the supernatural and monstrous things that the final cycle predicted. But unbelief is not protection. … protection.
Going home draws her into a fight against mythical creatures, limitless power and a battle for humanity’s survival. Can Dalia balance an outsider’s knowledge and tribal wisdom to give the world a fighting chance? Or will she choose to stay blind and let the world collapse around her?

This story is steeped full of tradition and culture. Set mostly in a primitive native village surrounded by jungle. Contains Magic and Ceremonies. Includes Ancient Temples and Sacrifice. There are Wicked Vampires and even a Wise Dragon. Great narrative. Excellent Descriptions. I felt like I was there with Dalia trying to save her people. Hope to read more from this Author!!
A prophecy that must be fulfilled. A young woman caught between the modern world and the Mayan culture of her isolated village. Dalia must navigate the beliefs of her family who are part of a village that has isolated itself and follows the ancient Mayan practices passed down from generation to generation and the Catholic beliefs she was taught by the nuns that raised her from the age of eight. Throw in some supernatural beings and the thrills and chills begin. What an adventure to embark on. I couldn’t put this down and I missed several hours of sleep to read this story. I would read anything written by Chris Patt and can’t wait for more from this series. Loved, loved, loved this story.

I really enjoyed this first book in this new series. I thought it was great twist on a supernatural book. I liked the combination of traditions and modern. I also liked that it was about the Mayan people. We follow Dalia as she is brought back home which is in the Jungle as part of a proficy. Things don’t go as planned but for Dalia it is better for her. The ending made me want to read more as soon as it was done. I look forward to following Dalia in more books.

Reign Drops is a great start to a fresh new vampire lore series. The story flows really well keeping the pages turning. At least once I actually blushed while reading which really surprised me! Love the strong female lead and matriarchal lineage.
I really enjoyed reading this debut! It takes typical PNR tropes and flips them on their heads. I loved the setting and characters. I WILL be reading more from this author in the future. Highly recommended!
ONE ULTIMATE ADVENTURE!!!
Feel the thrill! Chris brought out a mass of artillery for this tough as nails, nerve racking, rollercoaster ride, fusing this baby together flawlessly. Non-stop, action packed, heart pounding, pulse racing, page flipping bombshell that keeps you riveted and frozen to your seat. Add drama, turmoil, tension, intrigue and mounting suspense along with a boatload of danger while dodging calamity, makes for one block busting adventure. The dynamics and presentation in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. Satisfying is an understatement, it doesn’t get any better than this. You feel everything the characters feel, become a part of the story instead of on the sidelines. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, kicking this gem into a tempest, bursting it into a hissy with a stupefying, mind-blowing culmination. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that transform into outstanding personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions, as to give you a full understanding and realism that flows smoothly. Amazing job Chris, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
A fun read. A can put down adventure
By weaving legends with mythology and adding relatable characters Chris Patt creates a story that will linger in the mind long after the last page is turned.
Can a young Mayan girl save her people from the vampires? She must persuade the prophesied and most powerful vampire to help her! This is an exciting fantasy with a lot of suspense and mystery.
This was such a good book. The characters are very well written and the storyline is excellent. I will definitely recommend this to others.
Such a great read. Couldn’t put it down once I started and read through it fast. I loved Dalia’s background of being from the Mayan civilization that survived the conquistadors. There’s so many good twists and turns. It’s hard to talk about them without giving away too much. I am looking forward to learning more about her journey in the next book.

Bloodborne Series Book 1

I liked the story. It was fun with the blending of the Mayan elements and the legends. You have to love the conflict between the cultures that surfaces. This was great. Note though that this did end in a cliffhanger.
I absolutely love this story! The characters are unique, as well as the storyline! And the world building is outstanding! I love the mystery of the varies legends of old mixed together. I’m really looking forward to reading the next book!

Other than a few typos, mostly verb tense and homonyms the book was well written. I couldn’t put it down. A hidden tribe of Mayans want the fifth-born priestess daughter to return home before the Mayan calendar ends and the time of monsters begins. Dahlia, the chosen daughter, returns home to find that there is more going on than just the end of the calendar and “monsters are coming”. The lohil, the hero who is to help with the prophecy and fight the monsters is a lot more than was thought. I can’t wait for the next book.

I given an ARC and was not expecting what I received! I love Dalia! She is smart but not worldly, with a bit of snarky revel added in. The whole book moves, which I found awesome. The side characters were part of the story enough that I was like I want to know more. The golden vamp win a heart had me routing for better than twilight love. The saddest and worse part for me is that I must wait for the next book The book ties up the story nicely, I did not feel robbed, but I loved the characters and need to know now. But, at last I wait with patience. Awesome read.
The book is a good paranormal romance read. The book is a good start to the series and definitely is not going to be a stand alone series. The story has a good story line. The characters are good.
