Some fairy tales start after midnight.
The crown prince and I have nothing in common.
He’s a rugged, battle-hardened soldier who spent four years in the Royal Guard, an elite military unit. I met the King and Queen for the first time wearing leggings and a sweatshirt.
He’s the serious, quiet, straight-laced heir to the throne, and I accidentally got drunk at a formal dinner.
But there’s the … drunk at a formal dinner.
But there’s the way he looks at me, eyes blazing with hunger. Like he knows every dirty thought I’ve had about him – and he likes them. There’s the way my pulse skyrockets every time his hand brushes mine.
I’m the ambassador’s daughter. I know better than to mess around with a foreign head of state.
But I don’t know how long I can resist.
Not all princes are charming.
I spent years in the Royal Guard, our most elite military unit, fighting like hell so I could rule one day – not so I could give my father an heir with some well-bred rich girl.
I have a fcking country to run. My love life can take a back seat. It’s not like I’ve ever met a girl I had to have.
Until her. The ambassador’s daughter. She’s so… American. Lowborn, brash, wildly unsuitable… and gorgeous.
I’m disciplined, tough as hell, and I don’t fck around. But I can’t stop thinking about the way she laughs, about how she might taste. My father’s threatening to strip me of my title if I touch her, but she makes me want to break every one of my own rules.
Fck titles. Fck rules. F*ck my father’s threats. I want her. I need her.
She’s mine.

I usually do not like Royal books, but this one was great. It had a storyline and kept me entertained. Plus, it had great, hot scenes between Kostya and Hazel. I loved the ending with the HEA, of course. This one is worth reading.
WOW! I found this book to be a hot and exciting read. I loved how the relationship gradually built, it was realistic and well developed. The characters had great depth and were likeable throughout the story. Overall I loved their romance, sing me up for a hot foreign prince. I couldn’t put it down. This was my second book by this author – and I was not disappointed. I can’t wait to read more by this author. I would recommend this book.
I read this book years ago, and delighted in it then. Therefore it wasn’t a hard decision to do a re-read. This book was full of humor, suspense, and heart. I adored this book.
I loved this book.
A bedtime story for grown-ups.
This is a fun, modern day fairy tale with no aspiration to be anything else.
That makes it easy to overlook real-life political impossibilities and enjoy this story for what it is, a sexy romp through make-believe.
Hazel and Kostya somehow combine the princess fantasy with a touch of oh so naughty make the perfect HEA. Hazel was taking her European vacation to help her decompress after life kind of kicked her in the teeth. When her mom asked her to join her in Sveloria on her diplomatic trip she figures why the hay – spending some time in a palace by the sea would be an an cool addition to her itinerary. When she meets the Royal family a few things are instantly apparent – they seem to think Americans are a little bit gouache and the Crown Prince Kostya is like the hottest broodingest guy on the planet. Hazel has this unnerving ability to suss out trouble and striking up an affair with the prince would be like numero uno on the no-no list. Kostya is nothing like his ironed fisted father. He knows the struggle his father went through to secure the country from communist rule, but the time has come for reform and change, and Kostya wants to be on the forefront of it. If they aren’t arguing over policy and reform then his father is forever harping on him about finding himself a Svelorician wife and his duties to succession. Kostya is determined to not follow in his father’s footsteps politically or personally. When he gets married it will have nothing to do with her breeding capabilities. When he first lays eyes on the beautiful Hazel it’s like lightning has struck him. He has never been so affected by a woman before and Hazel proves impossible to ignore no matter what his father or anyone else may think. But when tragedy strikes and Kostya’s must make hard and fast decisions will Hazel be the one to pay the price? A fairy tale HEA with some delightfully saucy and sexy spice added!

After reading the ‘Dirtshine’ series, I got very curious about Roxie Noir’s other books and I was especially intrigued by this book so I decided to read it. And it was again a hit for me!
The story was again told in both POV’s, I really love the way that the writer Roxie Noir does this. It’s one of my favorite things about her writing. This is the third book that I read from her and one thing that the books all have in common is the fact that the characters aren’t perfect, they have flaws BUT they all are perfect for each other! Reign is a light, easy story to read. It has some steamy sex scenes and a little bit suspense.
I especially adore Kostya’s silent, serious character, it’s totally different then Hazel’s character but I like the difference very much. I liked how he tries to make jokes to make Hazel smile or the fact he never knows if Hazel is making fun of him or not. Hazel is totally wrong for a crown prince but she was just perfect for Kostya. She saw the lonely man inside and I loved her for that.
I’m looking forward to reading more stories of Roxie Noir.
