Cruel black hate is all I know. My only focus ucking my way through Blackthorn’s elite women and partying. Then she shows up at Blackthorn. One look and my focus changes. I decided then that my time for revenge is now. No way does she get to enjoy herself. No, I’m going to make her life hell. Destroy her from the inside out.
I’m going to make her regret ever walking my way, because if it wasn’t for her…my sister would still be alive.
This is a standalone DARK bully romance. This book contains scenes that may be triggering to some readers. This is not a YA romance novel and should be read by those only 18+ or older. *

I recieved this book free and I am voluntarily doing a review. I love these authors teaming up! This dark romance has alot of emotional guilt that made my heart hurt for both of them. The charters are wonderful and so is the storyline. this is a must read if you like dark romance.
This duo has done it again! This book will give you all the feels and the characters are so beautifully broken and flawed you can’t help but fall in love with there story from the first page I was captivated and I was so glad to see that despite all the hurt between them that they still got there hea in the end ! Great book and a must read !
*** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book ***
I literally had tears in my eyes for most of this book. Emotional roller coaster of pain and heartache. Jackson and Kennedy both love with guilt and regret. They deal with pain in different ways. He uses underground fighting and she cuts herself. They need each other but the hurt runs deep. Distrust, insecurities, and lies keep them apart until love and attraction bring them together
Blame and Retribution are a huge motivator for Jackson in this book. Believing Kennedy (FMC) is the cause for all his problems after shes in a car accident where his sister and her best friend dies. Now being at Blackthorn Academy puts her on a collision course with Jackson and he makes it his mission to break her by any means necessary. Except you cant break whats already broken though. My god this book brought on the tears. You cant help but feel sympathy and compassion for Kennedy. Shes struggling to cope with her grief for her friend as well as her guilt for surviving. Her outlet and her only way of coping is through self-harming and distancing herself from everyone. With no friends and with a family that doesnt seem to care (her father is especially caustic) shes completely on her own. I just wanted to climb into this book and hug her. As much as i wanted to hate Jackson for some of the crap he did to Kennedy i couldnt so that because this book makes you realise theyre both hurting and hes using it to lash out at her (no that thats an excuse for how he acts at all). Its just an emotional roller-coaster ride of a book, dark and so heartbreakingly sad but absolutely amazing too. I just loved it
This is one book that had me on a real emotional roller coaster.
The plot is a dark bully read but there’s a lot more to it than just
that. Its hot drama suspense twists and definitely steam.
I couldn’t put this book down.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Regretting You takes us back to Blackthorn Elite College. And I have to say that just when you think it can’t get worse with these boys they take you even deeper into their misery and secrets. Maybe I need to read them in order and then they won’t seem so evil, but I have to say I really don’t think so.
Jackson is a nasty little man that needs some help with his pain, but to deal with his anger issues he decides to take them out on Kennedy. I feel so much for Kennedy in this story. These two have gone through so much separately and it would be great to see them deal with it together. But little of that happens until almost the end.
Again J.L. and Cassandra show their heart and soul in their book. Love this book!
This is the fourth book in this series and I loved it. Kennedy and Jackson are both hurting for what happened to Jillian. Jillian was Kennedy’s best friend and Jackson’s twin sister. When Jackson sees Kennedy at Blackthorn he is angry and resentful towards her and wants to make her life a living h***. He is the biggest a*****e towards Kennedy and wants to make her pay. The two of these are in absolute pain over the loss of Jillian and deal with that pain similarly , yet differently This is one emotional rollercoaster ride of a read. It has suspense, action and some twists and turns. My heart broke for what these two have gone through. Josi and Cassy gripped me from the beginning of the story and kept hold of me until the end. I had so many feelings while reading this book and could not put it down until I was finished. This is the darkest book of this series, so hang on for the ride you will go on while reading it.
I’ve said it before and I still stand firm on this belief!! Cassandra Hallman and JL Beck are amazing authors and never disappoint. Regretting You was an amazing story! This heartbreaking story follows Jackson and Kennedy. They have known each other since childhood and tragedy strikes altering their friendship. Jackson’s sister, Jillian, is tragically killed. This tragedy leaves Kennedy and Jackson full of remorse and self hate; specifically Kennedy. Jackson on the other hand cannot forgive Kennedy for her role in Jillian’s death. Fast forward two years and they find themselves at the same university. Jackson cannot stand the sight of Kennedy and wants her to pay for her role in his sisters death. Little does Jackson know that Kennedy has had a hard time moving past Jillian’s death and forgiving herself. This is a story about learning to love and forgive yourself. Go read it today! It’s an amazing book!!
This romance was an emotional story surrounding a heartbreaking incident that neither can overcome. Together this friendship is rekindle and develops into a deeper romantic relationship. This couple overcomes some difficulties. This might be my favorite book in the series. It really touched me. I enjoyed the hot scenes too.
Such a tragic story of loss and betrayal rejection and the feeling of numbness that comes from loosing yourself to tragedy.
Kennedy was my sister Jillian’s best friend and they were inseparable right upto and when Kennedy killed Jillian in the car accident.
Jackson has held that hatred for Kennedy and his disgust for Kennedy is taken to a new low when Kennedy is now attending the same college.
Jackson vows to destroy her and in doing so their lives become untangled together with heartbreaking circumstances.
When more secrets are revealed Jackson starts regretting the extremes he has pushed Kennedy. An emotional rollacoaster of emotions stubbornness and betrayal.
Regretting You is book 4 in the ‘Blackthorn Elite’ series by J.L. Beck and C. Hallman. The book focuses on the characters Kennedy and Jackson and it is a really tragic story. Kennedy used to be best friends with Jackson’s sister until tragedy struck and she was left alone, depressed and just trying to get through life. That takes her to Blackthorn Academy where she is thrown once again onto Jackson’s radar, the boy that she secretly crushed on forever but who has now changed into a cruel, malicious bully who is out to get Kennedy for the wrongs that she has done.
Kennedy and Jackson’s story is tragic. Jackson is a former shadow of himself, always angry, getting into fights to feel pain and making sure that Kennedy knows how much he hates her. But, underneath is a young man who is still trying to get over his sisters death and needs someone to blame. At times he is really cruel to Kennedy and can’t seem to see what is going on in front of his eyes. He comes across as quite aloof from feeling anything but you do see the cracks appear with the more time he spends with Kennedy, although there were still a lot of times in the book where you wanted to smack him up in the head for how cruel and sometimes obtuse he was. He understood though that there were some things he said that he could never take back and only show Kennedy how much he cared.
Kennedy is one of those characters that you just want to wrap up in cotton wool and never let go. Feeling guilt, remorse, dealing with the death of her best friends, parents who don’t really see what is going on. There is a lot going on in her life and to add to the mix is Jackson who although she loves him, is often cruel and torturous in the relationship that he has with her. There are some definite OMG moments with Kennedy and the last quarter of the book, my heart just broke for her.
The scenes between Kennedy and Jackson are hot, steamy, page turning and everything in between. Regardless if you like Jackson or not, he is kind of an anti-hero in this book and Kennedy is stronger than she thinks and beautifully broken.
The authors are so good at weaving the reader into this story and you certainly feel for both the characters. It is intense, gripping, sad, horrific and steamy all at once and may contain triggers which some readers find difficult to read. But if you persevere, it is a cruelly beautiful book that you will engage with and enjoy.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review

They were once friends with more on the horizon, but one night tragedy struck and that was the end of everything between Kennedy and Jackson. Love was replaced with hate, and dreams of a happily ever after went by the wayside.
Some time has passed, but the old wounds are still very much present, and Kennedy is about to join Jackson on campus at Blackthorn Elite. Neither knows the other is attending school there, so there reunion is not only going to be a shock to their systems, but also stir up feelings neither are ready to deal with!
Regretting You is a dark and painful tale that is destined to break your heart in a millions pieces, there is no way you can read this one and come out unscathed! As much as the words hurt though, they also take you on a journey that inspires, watching these two overcome all that they did was nothing short of miracle. It was a real full circle moment, to go from love and adoration for one another to complete distaste and hate for one another. Then to finding their way back to one another, healing what they broke in one another, and then rediscovering that love. It wasn’t a blissful journey though, there were lots of bumps along the way, and many moments that will push you to your breaking point, but just stick with because the ending makes it all worth it! I absolutely loved this one, yes it wrecked me to my core, but it also gave me a whole new appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit. I highly recommend you take a chance on this one, the moment you meet these characters you won’t be able to let them go!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I hated and loved this book. I loved the characters and their story. I hated the emotions it brought forth. Having said that, I could not get enough of this book. It pulled me in and never let me go! It is a must have book!!! I would give it more stars if I could. I can not wait for more! Love won out in the end. I cried and I am ready for more!!! Check this out. You will not be disappointed. I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy from the author.
This dynamic duo had done it again!! Regretting You is an explosion of emotions and I just wanted to grab Jackson and Kennedy in a huge hug and shield them from of all of their hurt. These two were once close friend, that is until Jackson’s twin sister dies. After some years apart they reconnect at school, but Jackson isn’t ready to let go of his hate and finds his new target. This book brought out all of my feels and I loved every minute of it. Another must read in the Blackthorn Elite Series!!
Regretting you (Blackthorn Elite) by JL Beck and C. Hallman is another gut wrenching story as only these two ladies can tell. This story is about revenge and heartbreak all do to one night when an young woman dies, leaving Kennedy scarred and destroyed as she will never get over her being the cause of her best friend’s death Now she is at Blackthorn to start over, but when she is accosted by non other than Jackson who blames her for his sister Jillian’s death and he is set out to destroy her through bullying, intimidation and threats to get his revenge. But the more time he spends with her his feelings begin to change. Both of these two are dealing with the loss and pain in different ways. Jackson is an angry dark person who drinks, womanizing and cage fights to get over the demons he faces everyday. Kennedy is a cutter who inflicts harm to herself in order to cope with emotional pain, intense anger and frustration. When Jackson’s family sees Kennedy at school and forgives her, he becomes upset until his mother tells him he needs to forgive Kennedy as she has suffered enough. Jackson starts to soften and these two come together, but when someone from her past tells Jackson lies about her, her whole world explodes and Jackson once again lashes at her. When the truth comes out about what happened to Kennedy that night, Jackson is devastated for what he said to her, and when he can’t find he is worried she has harmed herself for the things he said to her. Now Jackson is racing to get to her, but will he be able to save her? Now these two have a rough road as Jackson knows he loves her and will not leave her side, but will Kennedy ever forgive him? Jackson come to terms that in some way he also was to blame for what happened to his sister. Can these two damaged people come together to help each other heal and will they have their HEA? This was an emotional story about what happens when grief takes over one’s life. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

“I can’t fix him, can’t make him better
And I can’t do nothing about his strange weather
But you are unfixable
I can’t break through your world
‘Cause you live in shades of cool.”

What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Jackson wants revenge, for Kennedy Myers took something from him that she wasn’t supposed to take; his happiness. Be careful sensitive readers. There’s self-harm and suicidal thoughts/situations.
I don’t know how many Beck & Hallman books I’ve read, but it’s a lot. I connected with this story. In my opinion, this is by far the best work I’ve read by these ladies! It was a page turner. I related to the characters and I was invested in it effortlessly. While the previous books of the series had a high focus on the steamy aspect of the story, here, we get all the feels. Broken hearts are handed out. Everyone gets one. I felt for Jackson. He was all the bad you want in a bully, but he had a heart and real issues. Plus, at times, he was hilarious, in a dark way. Kennedy wasn’t a push-over. She struggled. She felt like a complete person with all her edges and curves. I LOVED HER and I FELT SO MUCH FOR HER, poor baby. I think she was named Kennedy because like JFK she fought for the rights, y’all (This is so inappropriate ugh I hope JFK forgives me for this). Jackson and Kennedy’s dynamic was incredible. I haven’t had that much darkly delicious fun reading a bully romance in a little while. When it was time for darkness, which was most of the book, I couldn’t stop reading. What a compelling pair these two make! The families surrounding them had a nice part to play, too. Characters from the previous books made appearances and it was just lovely; I liked having them around again.
There was so much heartbreak and regret in this story. I found myself reading and never wanting to stop. When I turned the page and found that I had reached the epilogue, I was like WHAT !?!?!?!?!?! ALREADY!?!?!??! I WANT MORE!!!!!!! The ending was appropriate and it didn’t feel rushed to me.
I recommend this to readers that love themselves a dark bully romance with ALL THE FEELS, tortured heroes that have two things in mind, HURT and REVENGE, and strong heroines that are struggling to keep themselves afloat but aren’t giving up the fight that easily nonetheless.
This book is rip your heart out perfection! Regretting You will destroy you in the best possible way. It will show you the very heart of a precious human in the face of horrendous circumstances. You will not be able to walk away the same. What you will discover is a hope that is relentless and a love that is unbeatable.
Kennedy has watched her life implode in slow motion. Nothing could stop it, and nothing can repair it. All she can do is hold on to her sanity one moment at a time. Jackson has nothing good left in his life. A part of his heart is dead, and only one person is to blame for it. When that person enters his life again, he knows what he has to do to get his vengeance. When his vengeance threatens to destroy everything good in his life, he must make the hardest decision ever.
Getting to know Kennedy and Jackson has left my heart in brutal tatters and yet incredibly hopeful. I was left in awe at these fantastic characters who are endlessly courageous and stubbornly determined. Their journey is not for the faint of heart. It is one fraught with danger, hate, and hope.
Beck and Hallman are true literary geniuses who have my complete love and devotion. They know how to push your boundaries and make you break right along with their wonderful characters in the best of ways. Even if you think you are heading down a road you can never come back from, nothing is ever as impossible as you think with boundless love and endless hope.
Back to Blackthorn University we go, this time for Jackson and Kennedy’s story.
A once close bond between them gets fractured when an accident claims the life of Kennedy’s best friend, who also happens to be Jackson’s sister. She disappears for two years, only to reappear at Blackthorn and Jackson is not having any of it. He’s determined to make Kennedy’s life miserable, but what he doesn’t know is that she beat him to the punch.
Jackson was a little difficult to connect with at times, but Kennedy was the opposite. She’s drowning in grief and sorrow for an accident, and she suffers in all aspects of her life from it. You could feel for her so easily, so it’s no surprise when Jackson finally realizes his mistakes that he does everything he can to try to make up for them.
There’s triggers galore in this one, so take heed if you have any.
This is an exceedingly intense emotional book. It is a raw, painful and very often uncomfortable story to read. I freely admit that bully romances are tough for me. I feel that this trope is probably one of the hardest to write as everyone’s taste are different but with this type of book those invisible lines we all have come into play. While I thought this was a well crafted and executed book it really crossed some of those lines for me and once that happened there was no going back. My heart was completely crushed for Kennedy and I absolutely detested Jackson. I thought that the story line was gripping and whether you are loving it or hating it, overall the book inspires strong feelings in the reader. Please be aware that this book does have content that can be triggers for some or just huge turn-offs for others. So make a thoughtful decision before choosing to read this book. This is my independent, impartial review.
This is the 4th book in this phenomenal series and is Jackson and Kennedy’s story. Jackson is out for revenge and Kennedy is dealing with her guilt and pain the only way she knows how. This is a well written flawless story which these gifted authors have done an outstanding job in penning. This story is dark and an emotional roller coaster throughout, as well as having heartbreak, secrets, revenge, and is a gut-wrenching read which had me totally captivated throughout this riveting tale. Be aware there may be triggers for some as this is not a story for the feint-at-heart. Outstanding work Ladies!!
