Once upon a time she was my sister’s best friend.I’d always wanted her to be mine, that is until the night everything changed and my love morphed into pure hatred. Now I’m a vile bastard with a chip on his shoulder. Cruel black hate is all I know. My only focus ucking my way through Blackthorn’s elite women and partying. Then she shows up at Blackthorn. She’s different now, quiet and reserved, but … different now, quiet and reserved, but just as beautiful as she was the day she disappeared.
One look and my focus changes. I decided then that my time for revenge is now. No way does she get to enjoy herself. No, I’m going to make her life hell. Destroy her from the inside out.
I’m going to make her regret ever walking my way, because if it wasn’t for her…my sister would still be alive.
This is a standalone DARK bully romance. This book contains scenes that may be triggering to some readers. This is not a YA romance novel and should be read by those only 18+ or older. *

Worth the Heartache
Wow what a rollercoaster this series has been. I hate that it’s over but boy am I glad to have read it. Jackson has probably been my favorite character so far, close to Easton. Those broken brooding characters just speak to me. This is definitely a series I’m going to be reading over and over again. Absolutely breathtaking.
The Blackthorn Elite is my favorite series and book 4 did not disappoint. One night changed everything for Kennedy and Jackson. They should have come together but instead they broke apart both handling the situation in their own troubled ways. Kennedy wants the pain and guilt to go away but Jackson is determined to never let her forget it in his own bully way. The hate he has is so intense and poor Kennedy just takes the hate and pain she feels she deserves. Once an outgoing girl now hides her face. Jackson once a happy guy now dark and broken. There was not a slow moment in the book. I have to re-read it and not because I think I missed something but because it was that good!
Every time I read a series by these ladies I fall in love with them. Each book in this one gets better and better. Jackson and Kennedy might be my favorite. Rollercoaster ride of emotions this one is. Absolutely amazing.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
This is one emotional roller coaster of a story. You can feel the and suffering of our characters. The story is beautifully written and it does have a few triggers that maybe troublesome to people. I adored Kennedy and Jackson. They were a beautiful couple when they were not arguing. This story is a story that is a must read. It draws you in and doesn’t let go. It is one that has you on the edge of your seat.

Regretting You
Blackthorn Elite #4
by JL Beck and C. Hallman
I knew going into Regretting You that it was going to be heart wrenching from the teasers leading up to Kennedy and Jackson’s story. What I didn’t expect was how much it moved me. My heart hurts so deeply for Kennedy with the loss of her best friend, innocence, her family’s lack of caring to put it nicely and then everyone and everything she ever had gone. Then forced to go to college after years to come face to face with Jackson the guy she always secretly loved who hates her and he vows to destroy her. Her pain was palpable, undeniable and truly gutwrenching.
Jackson had a promising life, great grades, all around good guy, then everything changed one fateful night. A part of him died that day along with his goodness and light. Now he barely holding on anger has taken its place, drinking, sleeping around with any girl and slacking off on college. When Kennedy arrives at college all he sees is blind rage, vengeance and he plots at ways to make her life unbearable.
What happens when he goes to far? Will they ever survive that ultimate betrayal?
This storyline might have triggers for some people. It is intense, dangerous, emotional, captivating, gutwrenching, heartbreaking, and infuriating at times. Yet there is passion, hopefulness, forgiveness, understanding and love. Now with that being said I still wanted to sucker punch a few people . I also would of liked to see more of what happened with them along with their parents. I devoured this book and highly recommend this along with the others in this series.
I received an ARC by the author through Bookfunnel for my honest review.
Five
Regretting you
Omg another fabulous story by these two authors… I’m never disappointed when picking up a book by them. Kennedy and Jackson’s story is one filled with so many emotions you feel like your being pulled in all directions but that what make me love the story even more. You can feel the emotions running these characters like that your own emotions. Many times throughout the reading this book I found myself so sad I was brought to tears other times I was so mad I could of strangled the characters. And lastly there where times I was left speechless but in the end I couldn’t help but love the characters more and this story. Amazing job lady’s can’t wait for more.
This book has made it as one of my favorites by J. L. Beck and Cassie Hallman. It’s impossible to not be wrapped up immediately in this book. Once the story begins to unfold, it’s fast and keeps your wanting to know more.
This is an intense, gripping and enthralling love story, with a lot of twists and turns that you can’t begin to imagine. It’s full of unconditional love based on a past shared experience, one that has broken their hearts and souls but that themselves can mend, and subsequently heal each other.
A must read. Pick up your copy today…

A fantastic book that I couldn’t put down. Jackson and Kennedy’s story is full of heartache and angst. Loved it!!!
You both never disappoint, it had me on the edge the whole time and I couldn’t put it down. Please tell me there is more? I can’t wait for more. I need more. You guys are like yin and yang.
These two ladies have all the words and constantly test my emotions. They are one of my go-tos. I think this may have been the most intense one of the series. There’s just something about Kendall and Jackson.
FIVE HEARTBREAKING STARS for Kennedy and Jackson !!!
“Regretting You” is a college bully romance that will break your heart in a thousand pieces and then put it together.
Kennedy and Jackson’s relationship is anything but full of butterflies and happiness.
They are two broken souls who need to find out how to continue living after the tragedy with grief.
If you’re love reading J.L. Beck and C. Hallman’s books, then this is the book for you!
First off, Jackson was a real jerk I wanted to throat punch, but little by little he started redeeming himself. Kennedy broke my heart at times and then I was angry for her. She could be frustrating at times, but she started feeling her own power and inwardly I cheered for her! So to say this book has ALL the feels is quite accurate. I definitely recommend this book and the rest of the series. You will love them all I’m sure!! The bonus is the red hot passion that develops between those two! Enjoy!!
This is a dark, emotional journey with this book. Kennedy and Jackson have a lot of healing to do based on past events and I didn’t see the turn it took with Tylor. I was sitting on the edge reading this and at one point I swear my heart was going to bust out of my chest. I went on a roller-coaster of emotions. Be warned, there are some triggers so proceed with caution. I was left crying in the end. That’s how emotional it left me but I enjoyed it so much.
Jackson and Kennedy’s story was amazing even though it wrecked me, the dark themes were phenomenal, they played with my emotions in more ways than I though. I wish for this series to become an audiobook and get to experience them all over again. Enemies to lovers is my favorite type of story and this one triggered everything I love in them. Bravo!
Jackson and Kennedy’s story pulls at your heartstrings and drags you along on an intense and emotional roller coaster ride that finds these two young people suffering the lost of a twin sister and best friend. Both grieving in different ways, Jackson enters into cage fights and meaningless hookups and Kennedy is harming herself by cutting at her own body just to ease the pain. Now forced to go to Blackthorn college and move on she is once again thrown into turmoil by running into Jackson the boy she has always loved. As soon as Jackson lays eyes on Kennedy his world is turned upside down with his love and hate for her causing problems and with his parents wanting him to forgive Kennedy because she hurting too but all he wants is revenge and to make her pay for his sister Jillian’s death and he plans to make he life a living hell. Throughout this book my emotions went from gut wrenching to heartbreaking to captivating and understanding and believe it or not love. Get this book as well as the others in this series you want be disappointed at all.
WOW oh WOW… Regretting You has left me speechless!!
Kennedy and Jackson were best friends until one fateful night that changed everything for many people. Since that night Jackson has been nothing but angry, using sex and alcohol to drown the pain away until Kennedy walks back into his life. He seeks revenge for what happened and misses all the clues that Kennedy was suffering more then he was. Then one night things take a turn that changes their lives once again.
Oooh, regretting indeed! So so many stuff are regretted here. Jackson and Kennedy need to learn how to Coe and whom to trust because a trauma is not easy to overcome, not when you are partially guilty of it. This is a serious and yet so so interesting book. I highly recommend it to everyone. It’s not just the story itself that is so good but also the feeling of sincerity it gives off. I am truly grateful for having got the chance to read it. It is realistic and complicated just like the life itself is.
I received an ARC of the book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5 stars — OMG! So dark! Jackson is a grade A … (insert all of the seriously derogatory words). Kennedy has been without any true support in the years since THAT NIGHT and feels worse about herself than anyone in a similar situation should ever be made to feel. It’s heartbreaking, chilling, excruciating, and depressing… and that’s just the first two chapters.
Some sensitive topics are touched upon: cutting, depression, sexual assault, and the consequences of drinking and driving (the fact that it was underaged is just a detail). The beauty of love shines through but there are a boatload of thunder clouds it has to break through. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is the fourth book in the Blackthorn Elite series of interconnected standalones, but Jackson and Kennedy are brand new characters.
This is my favorite of the series. There are a lot of triggers in this one, so be warned if you have any.
This one was such a heartbreaking story. Kennedy and Jackson have had so much pain and heartbreak in their lives in the past two years since the death of his sister. Kennedy shows up at Blackthorn Academy and Jackson vows to make her life miserable.
Jackson was still in so much pain over his sister’s sudden death that happened two years ago. He was hard to connect with at times because of his actions, but you couldn’t help feel his pain too. He was always so angry all the time. He was an a**hole most of the time, but he had his rare sweet moments.
Kennedy was easy to connect with. You could feel the pain that she had been living with since her best friend died. She is drowning in her grief with no escape, because she does not feel like she deserves it.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. This writing duo definitely wrote a book that will tug on the heartstrings of readers.
I recommend this book
