Once upon a time she was my sister’s best friend.I’d always wanted her to be mine, that is until the night everything changed and my love morphed into pure hatred. Now I’m a vile bastard with a chip on his shoulder. Cruel black hate is all I know. My only focus ucking my way through Blackthorn’s elite women and partying. Then she shows up at Blackthorn. She’s different now, quiet and reserved, but … different now, quiet and reserved, but just as beautiful as she was the day she disappeared.
One look and my focus changes. I decided then that my time for revenge is now. No way does she get to enjoy herself. No, I’m going to make her life hell. Destroy her from the inside out.
I’m going to make her regret ever walking my way, because if it wasn’t for her…my sister would still be alive.
This is a standalone DARK bully romance. This book contains scenes that may be triggering to some readers. This is not a YA romance novel and should be read by those only 18+ or older. *

They survived her whether they like it or not.
The pain resides within both of their hearts, escape is futile, but moments of peace can be found.
Distance kept them apart, but now here they both are in the same place, at the same time.
Can they move forwards or will they forever be trapped in their loss and hatred.
Blackhorn is a place that holds so many lost and tortured souls, and I for one couldn’t wait to dive back into the frey.
The darkness in this book is everything! its exciting, unpredictable and downright devastating but still I wanted more of it.
The characters are lost underneath a cloud so bleak. Its heartbreaking.
Jackson becomes obsessed with her, letting his rage consume him.
Kennedy feels isolated, and alone even though she’s technically surrounded by the masses.
I loved the escalation of their key behaviours, and when everything began to snowball I was sat on the edge of my seat awaiting the inevitable crash.
An amazingly addictive read from start to finish. J.l Beck and C.hallman have definitely found their niche with this series!
Kennedy and Jackson lost someone and this is where their story starts. The intensity level in this newest addition to an addicting series will have your heart pounding. A little bit dark and a whole lot of twisted where love plays a big role in their journey that is so destructive. Enjoyable storyline with interesting characters this newest release does not disappoint and was worth the wait.
Since I have only read a few from these two I am still opening the pages with much anticipation. The feeling they pull from you are not the norm and the characters will take you over. This will pull emotions from you that other authors sometimes avoid or gloss over. So with that being said this was different to experience which in today’s reading is good to change up once in awhile. Jackson and Kennedy will take you to the brink and test your limit so this is not for the faint.
God what a book! It really packed a punch and nearly destroyed my poor heart. From the opening scene, it kicks you in the feels. It’s full of so much angst and pain. This book hooked me from the start and still hasn’t let me go. I’m in its clutches, wrecked in the best possible way by a story that is so emotionally explosive.
My heart absolutely broke for Kennedy. Not only did she lose her best friend and have to deal with that pain all alone, but then Jackson (her bestie’s bro) decides that she’s to blame and treats her so horribly. I hated him for most of this book, and Kennedy… I just wanted to reach through the pages and hug her tight. The pain and guilt that they felt was just eating them up inside, but they both dealt with it in all the wrong ways. It was absolutely heart-wrenching.
All in all, I enjoyed this book immensely. It is hands down my favorite book in the series. As I was reading this book I felt so many emotions. It was brilliantly mind-numbing, gripping and dark. If that sounds like something that you are looking for, then you have found a treasure. It’s definitely something that I would pick up and reread. I loved it!
Regretting You (Blackthorn Elite #4)
by J.L. Beck & Cassandra Hallman
5 STARS
Regretting You is the fourth book in the Blackthorn Elite series by authors J.L. Beck & Cassandra Hallman, it’s written in dual POV and tells the story of Jackson and Kennedy.
My heart broke for both of the, Jackson & Kennedy. They both lost someone important to them, Jackson his sister, and Kennedy, her best friend, in a car crash, a car that she was driving.
I hated Jackson, because, in my opinion he was more guilty than Kennedy, but she forgived him pretty much easily.
Regretting You is a book that I enjoyed, it wasn’t that dark, in my opinion, obviously.
But it was a great read and very emotionally.
Love this series
Intense emotional broken heart stopping love story of Kennedy and Jackson
Grabbed my heart
So dark and twisted ready for more
Wow what can I say other than that this was another amazing book by these two authors. We are thrown into the lives of Kennedy and Jackson in this book. Jackson and Kennedy are both grieving the loss of a sister and a best friend after a car accident took someone that they both loved. Kennedy feels the guilt of losing Jillian every day and blames herself for what happened. Jackson is grieving the loss of his sister by doing the only thing that will take the pain away and this by fighting and when he sees Kennedy again he wants to make her pay for what she has done. But little does Jackson know but Kennedy is hiding a secret from everyone. Jackson and Kennedy’s relationship starts off very rocky but they find there way and they learn to forgive each other in the process. This was a great addition to this series and I can’t wait to read the next book.
I received an ARC Copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
