I honestly cannot stop the tears as I finish Reforming Kent. My heart is so overwhelmed with intense emotions and it’s overflowing. Siobhan Davis saved the best for the last for sure. She dragged me through emotional hell, broke me and then put me back together. What an epic, inspiring and riveting saga of redemption , resurrection and finding true love.
Kent Kennedy has been always labelled as the black sheep of the famous Kennedy family. Reckless. Careless. Volatile. But he is trying to start fresh and working hard for his Law degree at Harvard. And the sassy and beautiful bartender he met at a rundown bar seems to be a part of his new beginning. Presley isn’t like the countless women after his fame and money and face. She resisted till she was sure Kent wants more than a casual fling. But Presley’s past has secrets and Kent is hiding his demons. This is a recipe for disaster and both of them are going to get destroyed. Can love help them?
I am really feeling very emotional as I have spent so much time with this family. I know the ups and downs of each brother and I have been there for all their complex love stories. It’s like an ending of a golden era and it’s bittersweet for sure. I feel Kent’s story is the most angsty, most heartbreaking and most difficult story of the series. My heart is breaking for this misunderstood, broken, vulnerable, angry and gorgeous man. I cannot imagine the depth and intensity of his pain. The author didn’t hold back while going inside his head and damn I feel every single feel in my own heart. He may feel he is damaged, irreparable, ashamed and helpless. But I feel him to be brave and strong and resilient. He acts out by doing irrational things, trying to self destruct, seeking oblivion in addiction and pushing everyone away. But he has the most beautiful heart. I love him so so much.
And someone broken like Kent needed someone amazing like Presley. She didn’t have it easy in her life. A traumatic childhood. Lonely in this world except few good friends. She has lost so much. Seeing her fierce way of loving and living is truly awe inspiring. She embraced Kent’s darkness and healed him piece by piece. Their story wasn’t easy. It was complicated and messed up and chaotic. So many things and accidents tried to demolish their connection. But what they have is truly precious. The author made me feel the strength and intensity and magnetism of their love deep in my soul. It was surreal. I have no words. Steamy. Angsty. Swoonworthy. Heartaching. Heartwarming. All consuming. So many adjectives and I still fail fo capture how brilliant this story is. The whole family came together for a last hurrah and I just don’t want it to end.
Siobhan Davis owns my heart and soul. Completely. Reforming Kent was better than perfection. It was that kind of story that made me cry from the aching emotions and left a permanent mark on my soul. Book hangover of the year!
I reviewed an early copy voluntarily
The final book in the Kennedy Boys saga is highly addictive and beautifully intense. You may be desperate to savor the final installment with plans to take your time with Kent’s story, but be prepared to lose sleep because the typical Kennedy drama will have you completely hooked! I have to say that this is the perfect ending to the Kennedy Boys saga.
I really don’t want to give anything away, but anyone who has read the previous books knows that Kent has always been the problem child. Well now you will get to find out why, and I just feel so satisfied after experiencing Kent’s story because not only do our questions get answered, but we also get more of the Kennedy interactions and drama that I love the most. Yes, I’ll miss this family like freaking crazy, but it’s so perfectly complete now, and I hope you enjoy this explosive finale as much as I did.
I received a copy and volunteered to review it.
**ARC provided in exchange for an honest review**
I’m ashamed to say that aside from Reforming Kent, Adoring Keaton is the only other book I’ve read in the Kennedy Boys series. I had AK borrowed through Kindle Unlimited when I received the RK ARC so I took advantage and read that one first. Boy am I happy I did! Adoring Keaton provided a good baseline to the family and gave me first hand experience of some of what caused the animosity between Kent and his family.
This book. These characters. I just can’t get over the pain they experienced. When Presley and Kent met, it was instant attraction, but Presley resisted his charms. Unfortunately for Kent, his reputation as a man whore didn’t help his case. Realizing she was different from all the women in his past, Kent was willing to put in the extra effort. Once she agreed to give him a chance, the pieces fell together. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t have an easy ride. I can’t go into any further detail about the book because it would be a spoiler and you’re best going in blind.
If only love was enough. The darkness that they both need to wade through is immense. There are potential triggers, but I can’t tell you what they are because it’ll spoil the story for you. As with all the Siobhan Davis books I’ve read, this one was so good. The emotions felt so raw and real, which is all you can hope for in a book like this. I would say it falls a little on the dark side because of the subject matter, but it still remained a great love story. I loved this book and think you should give it a read too. I fell in love with the Kennedy family and will be reading the other books in this series.
WOW. What an amazing read. ‘Reforming Kent’ was a true emotional roller-coaster, one minute I was laughing the very next crying. This book was well written, gripped my heart tight from the first chapter and just kept give through to the last page.
I loved Kent’s story. He is an arrogant asshole but Presley is just the person to make him own it and work hard for what he wants. Not only was this a good read but a fitting end to the series, finally letting the read in on what Kent’s issues are.
Would be an ok standalone but sooo much better when you read as part of the series, understanding the backstories of all the Kennedy Boys.
No more tears!!!
I have cried myself out!!! I honestly overwhelmed with intense emotions. This was the complicated, painful, and emotional unbalanced of all the Kennedy boys. I feel like Siobhan ripped out my heart out and step on it over and over again!!! If you read one book this year make it this one, you will be talking about it all year long. On a serious note Ms Davis take on tough subjects head on. She find ways to show respect to everyone involved to show the reader that, no matter what you can survive!!!

What an ending! Siobhan surpassed herself with this one. I swear every Kennedy boy book I read I change my mind on who is my favourite. My prediction in my Keaton review was right, Siobhan made me do a complete 180 on my feelings for Kent. Where before I believed him to be a self-absorbed, attention seeking bigot, after reading his story I now know him to be a damaged, suffering, huge hearted man, just wanting to be seen and loved. I now want to re-read all the other books with fresh eyes, because I know I will see the signs of his pain, I will feel compassion and understand why he felt so alone
.
Presley is the perfect match for Kent, she is strong willed and snarky and gives as good as she gets. She challenges him and doesn’t make it easy for him so it’s no wonder he is so intrigued with her from the beginning. We find she too has her demons to fight and I honestly felt so strongly about this couple.
.
Despite all the heart-wrenching revelations, there were plenty of moments of light relief throughout this story. We see a playful, considerate and loving side to Kent that we have yet to witness. I really enjoyed seeing this side of him and the bond he builds with Presley is amazing
.
Of course there are bumps and twists along the way, no Kennedy relationship is ever easy. But I laughed, I cried (alot), I had my heart drop into the pit of my stomach and then I had my heart so full it could burst
.
I loved the cameos and insights into the lives of our other favourite characters from the series. This emotional rollercoaster read is the perfect way to end this epic series. I’m sad it’s over but I have no doubt that anything that Siobhan brings us in the future will have me fawning all over it as usual

The last book in this series and the author kept the best for last. This was my favourite because Siobhan made me fall in love with a character who I had always believed unredeemable and the storyline was completely unexpected.
I will admit to being lost for words to describe this book. When I thought of Kent’s book I always thought we would get a fun frivalous story. However what we get is a story of first love and one of so much deep rooted pain and self loathing. I am going to applaud the author for tackling such a difficult little talked about subject with so much dignity and realism. The words are powerful and have given a voice to so many people. At times the emotions came at me so hard it was like holding my breath underwater. Presley is a woman who has learnt to rely on noone she is independant determined and definitely no pushover. With Presley we see a different Kent, he is thoughtful kind caring loving and one of the most vunerable men Siobhan has written. I wanted to wrap them up in a protective bubble so nothing can harm this burgeoing love story.
Everything about this book is perfection, the characterisation the storyline but most of all the writing. In my opinion this is Siobhan’s best book to date and I urge everyone to read it.
I have been looking forward to Kent’s story almost from the beginning of the series. There was always something about him that captured my attention. I suppose as a mother, my maternal instinct was alerted and I needed to know why he was so angry all the time. Why was he constantly acting out and misbehaving? The amazingly talented Siobhan Davis did not disappoint with this book, she delivers a powerful, heart wrenching tale with Reforming Kent. This book is beautifully written and I was unable to put it down so make sure you have time to finish once you get started reading. Kent broke me with his suffering and astounded me with his beautiful soul. He is now my favorite Kennedy. I adored this book even though the conclusion to this series is bittersweet. Mrs. Davis definitely ended the series with a bang. This book deserves more than five stars and to me this is her best work to date. I haven’t cried this hard while reading a book in years, so make sure you have tissues close by. This book is a definite must read, the best book of 2020 in my opinion. THERE ARE NO WORDS. NONE.
This is the hardest review I’ve ever written, but it’s the easiest 5 stars I have ever given. BOOK IS THAT GOOD!
Reforming Kent is the 10th and final book in The Kennedy Boys series, and Siobhan saved the best for last. She nailed it. It’s heartfelt, beautiful, swoony, passionate and heartbreaking.
Kent and Presley’s story is a tough one but a beautiful one. That will leave you with the BIGGEST book hangover ever.
This is the 10th and final book in this phenomenal series and in my opinion this author was saving the best till last! Kent was always an enigma in previous stories, with his lashing out and vulnerability, but this bad boy troublemaker is haunted by his demons, and as the black sheep of his family all he wanted was someone to notice him. Presley is a feisty bartender who is an art student who has a dream of owing her own tattoo shop, and when she meets Kent in the bar she work at she is determined not to get distracted by him, and Kent who has her firmly in his sights is reduced to having to woo her and she certainly makes him work hard for her attention. Presley sees through Kent’s persona that he portrays to everyone and recognizes that he is broken and haunted. This is a beautifully written tale which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, which is raw, gritty, heartbreaking, as well as having angst, with an intricate and in-depth plot, and is a powerful love story. I was totally captivated throughout this amazing story and I cannot wait to read more form this gifted author whose work I recommend.
I started reading this book without any prior information of this series and I sadly didn‘t have the time to read all the other stories of The Kennedy Boys so I really didn‘t know what I was in for. To say I‘m shocked and surprised is an understatement.
I somehow fell in love with Kent so fast. He‘s such a compley character and once you get to know him better you know why he is portrayed as this troublemaking bad boy. His relationship to his family is very rough and I feel for him alot. Growing up after such a traumatic event to basically knowing no one cares must be really hard.
Until Presley enters his life. She‘s different. She won‘t give him the time of day. He seriously has to woo her. And it was 100% worth it. Presley also has a troubling past and after this big reveal I understand her alot more. She fits Kent like a glove. Both of them have their broken parts and together they make sense.
I absolutely loved this book! It gripped me from the start and I just couldn‘t stop reading even if I wanted to. I‘m going to download the reat of the kennedy brothers now. If their stories are just half as good as Kent‘s then I‘m going to love them!

I sat on this book for a while before I wrote this review; I needed time to let it sink in and percolate.
Kent has always been the troublemaker of all his brothers. He’s an addict that has been self-medicating his pain with drugs, alcohol, and women. When he meets Presley, he is immediately drawn to her as she is one of the only people he’s met who has no interest in his fame or money.
Their connection was intense. They both have gone through some rough times in their pasts. But despite their pasts, they both seemed to support each other beautifully and emotionally grow.
What I was struggling with…was should they end up together. They went through a super traumatic event and it just made me wonder. Were they truly good for each other? Is that something they’d both be able to work through and accept? I don’t think there is any shame in accepting that a relationship or friendship isn’t healthy for future growth, and in the case of Reforming Kent, I began to think that the ending felt forced to me.
But what kind of romance novel doesn’t have a happily ever after?
Regardless, Reforming Kent was exceptionally well written with great emotional depth.

Wow, don’t think I can express how wonderfully this book was written. It was the perfect book to end this series. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
This was my first book by this author! I had no idea who the Kennedy Boys were, but I jumped right in anyways because I love angst and I’ve heard this author had it in spades.
Blown away! Kent… seems like and arsehole, acts like an arsehole, … and a manwhore. But he’s broken, he has a past and he’s trying to escape – mostly from himself. And Presley… a hard working girl who knows what she wants. She, too, has a past, but she was blind to everything. When she discovers the truth, her whole world shatters.
This story broke me, in a good way. Stories like this is why I read.
So much angst, so much emotions, passion and rawness. Absolutely amazing.
Wow! This was my first Kennedy Boys story and I’m assuming I saved the best for my first! Kent was that damaged bad boy that pulled me in even though I should know better. But he’s hella funny and sexy! I seriously loved Presley. Such a refreshing, strong, confident and resilient woman. She came across as having her act fully together but that wasn’t always the case. I loved all the dysfunctional angst the Kennedy family tossed all over the place and the discovery of what’s behind Kent’s cocky persona. Several twists I never saw coming and the story kept me on edge with its addictive characters and secrets revealed. I had no idea how much I’d fall in love with the final book in this series. I just know now I want to race back to book one to fall in love with these boys all over again.
Reforming Kent by Siobhan Davis is the last book in The Kennedy Boys series. I am sure the author’s motto was: “The last book in series, let’s play with reader’s hearts”. Because mine wasn’t prepared for all those crushing emotions, destruction, and pain. For so many unexpected plot twists, secrets, and beautiful power of support and love. Family. I fall madly in love with Presley and Kent’s story. But at first…
… I wasn’t a fan of Kent. It was like enemies to lovers story, but between reader and hero. The author like a master put a certain vision of him in my mind to completely destroy it. With every chapter, I got so invested in Kent and Presley’s journey to happiness with no way out. It is heartbreaking, unforgettable, and real in every aspect. There was one scene that stuck in my mind. It was so raw and real I shed one tear or few.
„You fill me full of feelings I never thought I’d ever get to experience.”
Experience this book. Go blind into it. I promise Kent and Presley’s story will stay with you forever. I admire Kent and Presley. They are strong, brave and inspiring. Unforgettable ending of The Kennedy Boys series. The author outdid herself and delivered something meaningful.
Kent has a troubled past, to put it mildly. He’s trying to change his manwhore ways when he meets Presley. There is an instant connection, but Presley’s past is also rocky.
I have not read any of the previous books in this series and while it isn’t necessary…I would suggest reading them at some point to get Kent’s full story. Also, bring a whole box of tissues because…trust me, you will need them. I will say that the beginning drug for me a little, but give it a chance because you will not be disappointed!
Ill be honest Kent just did my head in with his attitude throughout this series (dont get my started on Whitney either!!). He came across as bitter and self-centered. So i was a little curious how this last book would turn that portrayal i had of him around. I wont give away any spoilers about this book but i will say that my heart broke so many times reading this book. These two characters – Presley & Kent certainly brought on the tears thats for sure. You’d have a hard time getting through to the end of this book without reaching for the tissues. Dark and featuring topics that might be hard to read for some folks its not a light-hearted read but at the heart the relationship between Kent & Presley is great one. Kent came into his own & faced his demons in this book. It was exactly they way id hoped his book would end. It was just brilliant!!
He met her in a bar. She was the one who said no to him, thus his interest was piqued even more.
She knew who he was, and what his reputation was like, and had no intention of being a notch on his bedpost.
He was determined to win her over come what may, but can he do it, she’s not going to be a pushover that’s for sure!
The Kennedy boys are back! but alas this is the last of them.
Fear not though because Kent is everything! On the outside he’s the ultimate bad boy. A complete and utter silver tounged devil, who more than knows his way around a woman!
His sparring partner can more than hold her own too, and I loved that about her. She’s got fire in her belly and attitude a plenty.
The chemistry between them is amazing! it fizzles and pops with the simplest of touches.
There’s more to their story than what you might expect, and that’s the beauty of Siobhan Davis and her books.
I shall miss this crazily addictive family and their antics but my heart is full and my mind at peace.
6 Hearts
Reforming Kent is the tenth book in the very addicting Kennedy Boys series By Siobhan Davis. Almost four years ago I started this series when Siobhan asked me if I wanted to review an ARC of Finding Kyler. I had never read any of her books but I love reading new-to-me authors so I took a chance and OMFG…Best. Decision. Ever. I have been addicted since the very first book of the series. I met Kent when he was a fifteen year old little shit who was a shameless flirt. Troublemaker. And total manwhore over the years. Now is twenty-three and in law school and well, still a Manwhore until he met her.
Presley rejects him. Over and over again. She wasn’t about to be a conquest. She dated bad boys. Been there done that and didn’t even get a T-shirt. But, she sees something in him. Maybe even parts nobody has ever seen. The sweet ones. The vulnerable ones. The nervous ones. He says he has never dated anyone so she asks herself, why her? She worked in a dive bar and was an artist. She wasn’t a supermodel. She also wasn’t a one-night stand type of girl. So, why?
Kent wanted her the moment her saw her. Yes, he wanted to have sex with her. Of course, he did but after the rejection, he couldn’t get her out of his mind. He wanted to know her. To woo her. He didn’t know what he was doing but he knew she was different. Life-changing but he also knew he would fuck it up like he did with everyone and everything in his life. Was he even worthy of her attention? He didn’t know but he was going to find out.
I can’t really say more than that. I will say that once again Siobhan gave me more than I expected. I have been falling little by little for Kent. Maybe not at fifteen but I did enjoy his little-shit attitude. He made me laugh. And over the years and books, my heart knew he was special. That something was going on with him. I can’t say what but it’s heavy. I love that Siobhan gives us the drama. It’s not even petty drama. It’s holy fuck, that did not just happen drama. But it’s more, she writes the sensitive and heavy subjects. And in the same book she gives us laughs, passion, sexiness, family, friendships and love.
Overall…I read Kent and Presley’s story in one day and it’s not a short book. At all. I couldn’t stop reading! I am shocked I even made dinner. It was a roller coaster of emotions. So. Many. Emotions!!! It is deep. Oh, Kent…you have my . I am so sad this is the last book but so grateful for the series. It brought me to Siobhan and her other series’ and damn…I have loved them all.
P.S. My husband’s name is Elvis so yeah…that was a fun theme.
Quotes:
“Don’t pretend you know me because you don’t. No one does.”
It’s official. I have now traded in my man card and turned into Kyler.
“Give me your truths, Kent. Even if those truths hurt. At least it will be real.”
