Presley
Since I aged out of the foster system, I’ve worked hard for my dream future, and it’s so close. Too close to let some arrogant rich playboy distract me.
I’ve heard all about Kent Kennedy, and with my history of troubled bad boys, I need his attention like a hole in the head. Except he’s nothing I expected and everything I never dared to dream of. As I slowly uncover the truth, I discover a broken man with a big heart who desperately needs someone to see him.
I want to be that person, but his demons loom large, and I don’t know if I’m strong enough to do this again.
When the past rears its ugly head, shattering everything, will there be anything left of my heart to protect?
This book contains some dark and sensitive themes. Some scenes may be triggering. Please refer to the note at the start of the book.

Wow, what can I say about Siobhan Davis’ books? They just keep getting better and better. Kent and Presley are one of my all-time favorite couples. Their chemistry was seriously off the charts! I’m so sad to see the Kennedys’ saga end, but since it had to, this is the perfect book to wrap up everyone’s story. The epilogue alone literally had me laughing and crying at the same time. I can’t say enough about Siobhan’s books, and this one, like all of them, is highly recommended!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Gosh, our last triplet is finally here with his own book and love interest. We’ve watched kent grow and seen all the troubles he’s gone through. It’s such a bitter sweet moment that this is it. Presley wasn’t anyone I thought he would end up with. Not that she isn’t great but I’ve been going over possible hints of who the lucky woman would be since I’ve met Kent.
They’re so beautiful together and Siobhan does such an amazing job at taking destruction, pain, torture souls and giving them something unique. I love this tight knit family and the support they give one and other.
No spoilers but there is a trigger.
This book was so worth the wait! You will have all kinds of feelings so be prepared with your tissues. We knew Kent’s book would be heartbreaking and maybe some of us had an inkling, but I was still unprepared. Kent has suffered by himself for so long when he finally opens up everyone is shocked. Presley has heard of Kent and wants nothing to do with him. When she finally sees the real him she will fall hard. I loved this book so, so much.
What an ending! Reforming Kent was such a bittersweet moment to read. I loved every second of his story. Siobhan Davis broke me with Kent and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Kent and Presley may just have moved their way to my favorite. GAWH! I cannot example the ride that Davis put me on with this book. Kent is broken in so many ways. His story just broke my heart. His anger towards Keaton made so much sense after this book. But just made me cry for him. For all the things he suffered and never talked about. Secrets eat you from the inside out and it has never been clearer than it was with Kent. All the anger and trouble he caused was a cry for help no one noticed. I don’t know what’s worse that he suffered alone or that no one ever picked up on the signs. Presley is the feisty, bartender who is exactly what Kent needed. From day one she put him in his place.
Siobhan Davis delivered this amazing story for Kent. The plot was amazing, her writing was perfect. I loved both Kent and Presley. This was the absolute perfect ending to the Kennedy Boys. I laughed, I cried. And by cried I mean big tears rolling down my face. Davis explained everything so perfectly. Kent’s behavior in the previous books, although terrible makes so much more sense.
5 emotional stars for Reforming Kent! This is an absolute must read story! Kent will steal your heart and leave you wondering why you didn’t like him. This emotional ride is worth every second of heartache Davis causes.
Holy hell of a book hangover.
Holee crap.
Holy everything.
First off let me just say how it saddens me to be writing the final review for a Kennedy boys story. I have loved them since the beginning and I’m not ready to say goodbye.
I knew there was a reason Siobhan Davis saved Kent’s story for last and it’s because she knew it was going to be a whopper of a story. One that will leave your jaw on the floor along with your heart and emotions tattered and ruined in the best of ways.
Reforming Kent finally gave all the answers I’d been looking for and I had an idea, I thought I knew but Davis showed me that I had no idea of the full truth that awaited. My heart brutally ached for Kent. The way Siobhan Davis made his character completely break (although much needed) tore at every emotional string inside me.
One of my favorite things about this book was that there’s whole other side to Kent that I was wholly unprepared for yet I loved every single minute.
I loved seeing Kent’s wall being torn down brick by brick.
Oh and when Kent woos, the man freaking woos. Cue all the swoon. There isn’t a better woman in the universe for Kent than Presley. She was everything he never knew he needed. Together those two fought for reform, each other, and a tumultuous journey to hea.
In Kent and Presley’s story, Siobhan Davis weaved a gripping tale of heartbreak, healing, resilience, absolution, and most importantly love.
Oh… my…. so this is the last book in the Kennedys’ series and I am feeling upset because the story is ending… We all knew that Kent will be the last one to get his story to be told and Siobhan never disappoints. Siobhan is the queen of angst, heartbreak and rivers of tears… of course I love that about her, but still… when I was reading Kent’s story a lots of laugh, tears and anger were present.
So… a little bit of information regarding the story as I cannot spoil it for other readers, but I have to tell you at least something:
First, during the whole Kennedys’ story, it was understood more and more that something bad has happened to Kent during his adolescent years. Everybody thought that he is just acting out, however, we, the readers, felt that the story behind his actions should be really important and triggering, which it was. The most interesting part is that those who have read all Kennedys’ books felt what was coming, however, the way how Siobhan made the story was fantastic and terrible at the same time. I cried rivers… like seriously.. nobody has to survive through so much (and I am not only speaking about Kent).
Second, the chemistry between Presley and Kent was hot, however, during some moments, I wanted to strangle Presley a lot. However, at the end, she was the most perfect match Kent would have needed. The way how she cleaned herself, the other things she did after all was revealed, it couldn’t be done anymore perfect than she did.
So… what to tell you more – read it, be ready to cry, laugh and to contain your anger sometimes towards the antagonists, but mostly towards the bad guys. The twist regarding the bad guys and ex-boyfriend was made beautifully. I am so happy to be among those who could read book before it was published, however, I would have definitely bought it anyways.
Thank you, Siobhan, for such amazing story!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book was full of angst passion and so much raw emotions it broke me before putting me back together again! This was such a fantastic way to end this series. I love the Kennedy Boys and this authors writing is always full of so much angst in there stories. This series is by far probably my favorite series written by this author it’s bittersweet that it’s over but wow what a ending it was . Kent and Presley’s story was incredible their journey was the perfect end to this amazing series. This story is full of so much passion drama heartache and steam I’m so sad that it’s over but also completely satisfied with this ending. Love this family love these characters this series is definitely one of my favorites and this story definitely gets five stars from me.
** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book **
When I read Siobhan Davis’ The Kennedy Boys I’m reminded of the theme song fir an old Bond movie, “Nobody Does It Better”. That’s her in a nutshell, and certainly the case with her latest stand-alone angsty bad boy addition to the series, Reforming Kent (Book 10). A tough alpha with a painful backstory, a string heroine in former foster child Presley. Perfect ingredients perfectly blended – and which I’m perfectly happy to recommend.
4.75 stars
This is the tenth book in The Kennedy Boys series and the first one I have read. It can be read as a standalone but I am going back to read the rest of them. It is a raw read with some triggers that may not be for all so proceed with caution. Kent is an angry young man with no qualms about his behavior. Presley is a sassy bartender that wants nothing to do with Kent, which makes him want her more. Together they each have their pasts which have left them broken and watching them overcome tremendous obstacles and seeing their growth is a testament to the author and her extremely creative utilization of language to write this emotional story. It is one that will sit with any reader long after finished. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
This book!
These characters!
WOW!
I am just speechless.
I loved Kent and Presley.
The beginning of the book I loved the way Kent had to fight for her. She did not give in to him so easily. But with persistence he got his girl.
Kent might just be my favorite of all the siblings. He was so tortured. I did not see all that darkness hiding in the shadows. My heart was HURTING for him. The things he went through.
MY POOR BOY. I CRIED.
The story flowed so effortlessly. Everything meshed so well together. I also wanted to SLAP the hair off of Whitney’s head.
Perfect ending.
Perfect story.
Perfect series.
5 stars!
Who would have thought that this would be the most romantic of all the Kennedy boys stories? And who would have thought that Kent would turn into the cheesiest of the Kennedy boys when he fell in love? I didn’t know how Siobhan Davis would perform the miracle of redeeming Kent from his assholic ways but she did in spades!!
The first part of this book is the sweetest, most lovely love story in this series. Then in the second part we’re gifted with the expected plot twists and melodrama that characterizes this author’s books. I was actually worried halfway through that I hadn’t had my expected dose of drama and when it finally arrived, I was thrilled!
Kent got to spend time in this ramshackle bar in Mattapan, evading the paparazzi that followed him downtown. There he meets Presley, who wasn’t thrilled to meet him, but he got the tingles. Seeing a gorgeous woman who wasn’t impressed with him first attracted him; then seeing what a fantastic person she is, reeled him in more. Both had issues, both were jaded, but with time, they saw hope in each other.
“He is physically beautiful, hiding all the broken, tormented parts on the inside. Perhaps that is why we are drawn to one another. Kent is shielding hidden depths I have barely begun exploring, and he’s only started to crack my veneer.”
We learn what made Kent behave in his self-destructive way and all the ramifications from that. We see a Kent who falls under the charm of Presley and starts sending her flowers with cheesy, enchanting notes. We see a Kent who starts to see the light and come out of the darkness that had been his life. I loved that when Presley scolds him, he cringes. For years he laughed at his brothers for being so whipped and now he’s happily whipped!
“I’ve never wanted to get to know a woman until I met Presley, and it terrifies me as much as it enthralls me. I have zero clue what I’m doing. Or even why I’m doing it.”
I loved, cried and laughed reading this wonderful story, so full of emotions, heartbreak, pain and redemption. I always knew and had hope that Presley and Kent would make it, and as always, the Kennedy clan gets together and gets into it. They may have their skirmishes and issues but at the moment of truth, this family gets together and makes things happen.
It was a treat to have family times with the bunch of grandkids, the brothers taunting each other and playing pranks. I loved seeing a happy domesticated Kent. This was one throughly enchanting and heartbreaking book and I cannot imagine a better finale for the series!
This is a great read. I loved reading the drama in the book. The way they meshed well was great. The story line was fun, it kept me really interested. It was well written and ended up being a great book in the series.
OMG OMG OMG….. I have been waiting for Kents book for like forever!! Especially after the way he was in Keats book… I soooooo wanted to throttle him.. but also wanted to know why he was acting the way he was..
Reforming Kent is Book 10 in The Kennedy Boys Series and let me tell you.. Siobhan saved the best for last. There are no words to describe just how beyond amazing this book was!!
Kent and Presley are both so very badly broken, and both for very different reasons. With very dark past.. will they be able to bring the light back to each other..? This book is so so so packed with all the angst and heartbreak, HOTT has hell off the wall chemistry, pain, love, and the secrets…good lord the secrets.. 🙁 Ill tell ya.. your going to need some serous tissues.. Just be prepared.. and maybe a bottle or two of wine… or your favorite beverage.. LOL
Kent has been haunted by his demons all his life, and known as the black sheep of his family all he has ever really wanted was someone to notice him.. the real him.. and that is Presley … she is the perfect match for him.. she gives as good as she gets..
Presley is a feisty bartender who is an art student and who has a life long dream of owing her own tattoo shop.. but when she lays eyes on Kent.. she is bound and determined to NOT get distracted .. after continuous rejections Kent is determined to make her his!!
This book was beyond phenomenal as with all the rest of the books in the series.. so sad to see its reached it end.. Thank you soooo much for allowing me to go on this amazing journey you with you.
And just like that, its an end of a great series!! I am going to miss the Kennedy Boys! I fell in with these characters ever since Kyler’s story and never looked back. Siobhan Davis wrote an amazing story for Kent. The broody guy with a huge chip on his shoulder was always so angry but when he meets Presley things start to change for him. Presley is the amazing sexy woman who had the bad boy changing his ways for the better. I’m so sad its the end of the series but it is definitely one I will reread again and again.
I am really loving this series of the Kennedy Boys. After each one you think you cannot like any other book as much as you like this one, and then the next book comes out. I just enjoy reading this family so much. They are a strong unit and I enjoy reading about previous characters as well. I am sad to see this series end but know it has been an amazing ride.
Be prepared for bad boy Kent to get knocked down by Presley. There are some surprises here, for their journey is not an easy one. Kent is going to make sure it is not, but it is well worth the ride.
I do not want to give anything away. Just that this is a bittersweet read. The Kennedy boys have made such a special place, really becoming my favorite book family. I cannot wait to see what Siobhan comes up with next. Pretty sure that whatever it is, it is going to be damn good.
Kent Kennedy has been the Kennedy we have loved to hate, and hated to love from the first Kyler book where we met all of the Kennedy brothers. Over the course of the series Kent went from a fun loving pain in @$$ to a mean, angry, and conniving young adult. In each of the previous books, and novellas leading up to this book we saw Kent steadily grow angrier, meaner, and more vindictive. Through every book I kept asking myself why????
We meet Presley who knows what it is like to live in the dark, and face demons. She also knows what it’s like to get out of the dark, and learn to live. She is gritty, and from the “wrong” side of town. She is also the one person who will tell Kent no, and not fall at his feet. She is the ultimate challenge for Kent. Together these two embark on a journey that drags us through the darkest journey any Kennedy has gone through yet to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I love how Siobhan was able to show us his behavior changes through the previous books, and allowed us a glimpse at what it was like watching the destruction that the family saw Kent go through. It made the story more real, raw, and emotional when we finally got a glimpse into his head. It made everything more meaningful as we take the journey with Kent and Presley as thy find out what it truly means to love someone through the good, bad, and ugly that life throws at us.
WOW! EMOTIONAL OVERLOAD!
I voluntarily read and reviewed and advanced copy of this book. This book was freakin amazing! It’s heartbreakingly beautiful. Kent starts out as a self proclaimed @sshole. He’s a conceited arrogant womanizer, but I loved him. At times I had to laugh at him because it was bad. It really touched my heart to see him finally fall in love. Presley is beautiful and strong and courageous, A sassy little spitfire but she’s hiding secret pain of her own and I instantly lto ve her character. Siobhan as usual made me feel like I was on an emotional rollercoaster and it was so beautifully written at times you could almost feel their pain coming off the pages. My heart hurt for them. Their chemistry was so intense but it was also tender and sweet. They’re the epitome of unconditional compassionate love, they heal each other by confronting their pain. Presley brings out a change in him right before our eyes. This story was so powerful I cried like I’ve never cried before while reading a book. I think I’ll feel it for days. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! I’ve got a total book hangover. Lol. I EXTREMELY recommend this book to everyone.
So, not going to lie, I seriously disliked Kent going into this book. But I trust Siobhan. That being said, this was a perfect ending to a fantastic series.
I was hesitant to give Kent a chance, but I can’t not read a book by Siobhan, because hello, she’s amazing. She took my dislike and hesitancy and flipped it around, almost immediately. Kent is now my absolute favorite and I seriously LOVE him. He’s sweet and sexy, and so, so broken.
I love the relationship between Kent and Presley. It’s a little heartbreaking, a whole lot hopeful. The banter between them. The chemistry that can’t be ignored. It’s beautiful in its realness.
I loved catching up with all the Kennedy Boys again, one last time. *cries*
Needless to say, Siobhan finished this series off with a bang. This is easily a favorite read from her, a favorite read of the year, a favorite read ever! GO READ IT!
What an extremely emotional ending. It is time to say goodbye to out favorite family and what better way to end than with out beloved Kent.
The heartbreak and the full blown angst was breathtakingly fresh and I felt every moment. I loved Kents vulnerability and his strength throughout the book. I loved Presley and was so happy to see Kent get his happy ever after and perfect love story.
Another timeless read by the fabulous Siobhan Davis.
I’m not sure how she does it, but Siobhan Davis has excelled herself again with this one! I’m now in mourning, as this is officially the end, but Siobhan has gone out with a bang! What a way to end my favourite series ever!
Reforming Kent is pure magic. Siobhan has hinted that there’s more to Kent’s story than simply the A’typical man whore! I was in no way prepared for this emotional rollercoaster, or the revelations she exposes! Whether you love or hate Kent at the beginning of this book, you will adore him by the end. What I love most is, by reforming Kent, Siobhan remained true to Kent. She hasn’t changed his characteristics or personality, we just develop a better understanding of him and boy, you can’t help but love him!
So who reforms Kent? Presley is addictive! I love her. She’s floored, sassy and perfect for Kent. She keeps him on his toes, you find yourself routing for her from the very beginning. It’s not an easy road for these soul-mates. Large box of hankies required!
This is a truly amazing end, to a fantastic series. All the Kennedys show up for the finale, so you won’t be diasappointed! This is not the end for me…I’m heading back to the beginning now and starting all over again!
