Where do I begin?
Reforming Kent is the last book about the Kennedy boys, and as all the other books in this series, I LOVED IT!
Everyone of the Kennedy boys has had their struggles in different ways. Kent is one of the brothers that we did get to know a little bit about during all the other books, but it was hard to get a read on him and what his problem(s) was. The seemed like a brat, a spoiled brat that was only thinking about himself. He was the one always making trouble in the family. He had a bad mouth, slept with Fayes half sister, (kind of) made Keanu party hard and didn’t accept Keatons sexuality. But there is so much more going on with Kent, and it all took me by surprise. This was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride, and I loved it! I both laughed and cried my heart out during this book.
Love can really change a person for the better, love and family is worth it!
Keven was always my go to when it came to the Kennedy boys, but Kent is my new favorite. I can’t believe this series has reached its end. It has been so much fun to be a part of the ARC team on this amazing series and I can’t wait for the next chapter of what is Siobhans work of art!
‘Reforming Kent’ is the last book of the Kennedy Brothers series by the best selling author Siobhan Davis. I really never thought I’d say this , but it’s official, Kent’s my favourite now!
Right from the beginning of this series, Kent was the character that Intrigued us the most. His explosive behaviour , along with his very rare vulnerable moments just drew me towards him and His book became my most anticipated read! We all had guessed that something very huge had happened with Kent to make him this way, but it was the suspense of what had me clutched to this series.
Kent one of the youngest triplets of the Kennedy boys. He is the black sheep of the family. The one who always gets into trouble , the one who is always ignored. But this is the reason he is the way he is. And no one in his family ever bothered to find out why. All he wanted was someone to see him. To give shits enough to ask him about his behaviour. But none did and he became even more reckless. Drugs and Girls were his escape and that is something he did in abundance. That is until he met a certain spitfire at a bar.
The moment Presley sees Kent Kennedy walk through the door of the bar , she recognises him. The man has a reputation of being reckless and she knew all about men of his category. The last thing she wanted was to become another notch on his belt. Even though the man tempted her to break all her rules and to just give in. Resisting him was going to be a tough job.
For the first time in his life , Kent has to work to get a girl’s attention. He has to WOO her , which is an absolutely horrifying concept to him. But he still does it. There is something about Presley that pulls him in and he is not letting her go. But he knows she is going to leave when he messes up. Because he always does.
I always knew that Kent’s book was going to be the most explosive one of all the Kennedy’s , but I seriously didn’t expect to be so shocked! My heart hurts so much for him. Kent has to be the most broken character of all the Kennedy Brothers and I am absolutely in awe of how Siobhan shaped him to make us fall in love with him even more. His struggles had tears springing to my eyes and all I can do is to warn you , that you all need to go into this book blind!
Siobhan seriously didn’t hold back this time , giving us a full view of the most notorious of the Kennedy Brothers and I can bet you that by the end of this book , there is no way that you will love his broken soul the most! A definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there. Even though this book is Standalone and can be read as so , it is my personal suggestion to read the series before reading this book. It definitely makes the whole experience an unforgettable one!
Intense! Heartbreaking! Unpredictable!
What a PERFECT conclusion to The Kennedy Boys series!
Siobhan Davis blew my mind with this final book of the famous Kennedy brothers. I love her writing, she’s one of the few authors that I’ve come to realize takes the gloves off when writing. She doesn’t sugarcoat or hide the darkness that exists within our worlds. It’s all right there in her books for you to see but she also merges these moments into some of the best romances I’ve ever read.
I fell into this series because a friend recommended Kyler’s book and said that since I loved taboo so much I would love it. Well I did…but in that very first book I fell for this dark and arrogant character that looked so lost and angry all at the same time. For 9 books I’ve watched him lash out at everyone around him, for good reason too! My heart hurt for him every time I watched the people who loved him ignore his behavior. I needed to know who hurt this poor soul that you could clearly see was struggling so badly, yet no one around him noticed. I couldn’t wait for him to find his love and I was begging the book gods for it to NOT be Whitney! They answered by bringing him someone good and kind yet also feisty and determined. Which is exactly what Kent needed! The plot and these characters kept me entertained from start to finish! One thing I love about Siobhan’s writing is that she gives us so much time with the main characters. I’ll say this…be prepared to swoon because you have NEVER experienced THIS Kent Kennedy!
I had been patiently waiting for his book to arrive and when it did I was swamped so I couldn’t get to it. Sitting here 4 days before 2021 started I just KNEW I had to read his story before 2020 ends. So I did, I basically inhaled his book. It was so difficult to put it down.
This book was an emotional, angsty read. Davis did a great job at pulling the reader into the life of Kent. I was so ready not to like him after my introduction to him in “Adoring Keaton,” but I fell in love with him. He is troubled, flawed, and fighting demons that have ruled him since he was 15 years old. As I read the book, I was able to read between the lines and guess what torment fueled him. However, I wasn’t prepared for the who and why! Because of his reputation as a bad boy, when he meets Presley, she turns him down flat! Kent is nothing if not determined and he slowly woos Presley, which in itself was a surprise, but this guy has layers that not even his family were aware off.
Don’t get me started on his family. It made my heart break to know that he struggled for so long and no one thought this was out of the norm for him – all thought he was acting out! The scene when the truth is revealed and laid bare for them all to see had me in tears and my eyes are watering up now as I write this.
Although determined not to fall for Kent, Presley found him hard to resist when she got to see the side of him most people never see. She struggles with her own issues and sorrows, but the love that she and Kent share was all consuming, They are so passionate, their chemistry is off the charts, and they find solace and peace in each other.
However, like all good romances the road to HEA is never smooth. Kent and Presley had their fair share of issues to resolve before they could ultimately get their HEA. It was one hell of a rollercoaster journey, that brought tears to my eyes more than once, but it was such a good journey one that kept me up until the early morning hours! I highly recommend this book, but it does discuss a sensitive subject that could be a trigger for some and there is a warning at the beginning of the book.
Man oh man this is by far the best one in the series in my opinion . Kent is Everything, and this book is everything . Will have you turning pages non stop .
Wow! This book was filled with so many highs and lows. Presley and Kent had their share of painful tragedies that shaped their present lives.
The moment Kent laid eyes on Presley, something shifted, but gaining the life he always desired wouldn’t come easy. He had to make peace with the pain he went through as a teenager to be the best version of himself.
Presley, a strong and independent woman, has tried to make something of herself for years. When her past relationships are the triggers in Kent’s life, she will need to come to terms with the truth that comes finally comes to light.
Reforming Kent is raw, beautiful, passionate, and filled with undeniable hope. Both Kent and Presley had to go through growth to help one another.
This book was terrific, and Siobhan Davis does a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.
As soon as this Arc hit my kindle I instantly had to dive in. This book was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and holy f@&$ did Siobhan bring it!
We all have swooned over Kyler, Kal, Kaden, keven, Keanu and Keaton but nothing prepared me for the swoon brought by Kent.
This story brings the pain. We have witnessed the outbursts from the beginning that had haunted Kent and now it is all unleashed. He is quite the enigma.
I legit still have tears streaming down my face. A combo of happy tears for Kent that he finally found his hea, tears of sadness for the pain Siobhan has put these two through, tears of sorrow that this was the last book of the Beloved Kennedy series and tears of love for how much this family has woven themselves in our hearts.
~~top 10 recommended~~
Life has not been easy for either them but man when Siobhan Davis digs deep she digs deep to make us see what makes them be what they are. After going through all the Kennedy boys Kent is the one boy who well kept himself and now we see why he has rebelled so to speak from the family. This is more than just him reforming but we see a boy growing up to be something he wants to be better. Now Presley is like Kent but in a way that she is starting over so to speak from a bad childhood she doesn’t want to ever remember again. Both of them have a past they want to well forget but when it comes to Siobhan Davis there is no getting past it unless you ready to fight for love and a second chance. Not only is this about Kent and Presley but we see the whole clan and boy this is a family that you will never forget by how strong their love for one another is like. All in all this is one book that just teared me to the core finally seeing why Kent is the way he is. One thing for sure when one hurts a Kennedy be ready go head to head with all the Kennedy’s because family sticks together all the way. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
SO this was one of Siobhan’s books that I truly was NOT interested in. Kent has always been my least favorite character and I truly wasn’t interested to hear about him or delve into this story. BUT, Siobhan changed all that! I don’t know why I am constantly surprised by her stories! She always pulls me in. A must read in this series! I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
I became introduced to this series in reverse, learning about it as I discovered Reforming Kent which is the first story I’ve read in this series. While part of the Kennedy Boys series, it is said to be able to be read as a stand alone and I very much enjoyed it! While probably enhanced by knowing the back stories of the related characters the author did a fabulous job ensuring that I understood the dynamics of the Kennedy family.
Kent Kennedy initially is understood to be a confident and cocky college student who enjoys different women with zero interest in a relationship. But after becoming fixed on Presley and learning who she calls family is we learn more about Kent’s haunted past and it very seriously can change the course of their potential future! The story reminds us that there is ugly in this world and that help is available though. It’s an encouragement to seek it. Great read with a HEA.
Kent is the bad boy with a tragic past and Only one girl can make him or break him! Siobhan always writes beautifully tragic romance and she wrote Kent story beautifully!
Siobhan Davis reveals the heartbreaking torment of the Kennedy family black sheep, Kent, in Reforming Kent for a powerful story that will leave no question unanswered and no secret left hidden.
In her Kennedy series finale Siobhan Davis delved into one of her most enigmatic characters, Kent Kennedy, for an incredibly dark and poignant story. Kent, cocky and surly on a regular basis, made defiant and inappropriate his MO. Despite his rebellious attitude this author always managed to find a way to keep Kent from being a complete write off by inserting just enough of his goodness to make readers question his outward appearance of disregard. As revelations came to light in this story Ms. Davis was able to capture all the feelings of shame and let down that shadowed Kent with compassion. When the truth of Kent’s past came to light this author made it impossible for readers not to feel heartbreak over his burdens even while rejoicing in the broken beat of Kent’s heart as a survivor. Presley came off as tough and worldly but in reality, her demeanor was misleading and underneath it all she was as scarred as Kent. Her empathy and kindness saved her even as they made her vulnerable. The tragedy of her past found a way to move beyond it in her bond with Kent.
Both Presley and Kent managed to prevail when joined as a couple and their love proved it was stronger than their past. These two were sensitive souls tarnished by other’s corruption but even so their defilement never truly changed the goodness of who they really were. As kindred spirits this pair recognized their boundaries and the value of each other, in the end they were more than the abuses they suffered. The feelings evoked by Kent and Presley took a strong hold and sympathy pains ran rampant throughout this work. Their connection had its growing pains but the attraction that existed between them was always more than superficial. The happiness that managed to triumph over this pair’s pain was incredibly rewarding and made this story soar above the typical HEA!
Beyond her engaging writing style Siobhan Davis and her clever and meticulous crafting of her Kennedy Boys series demonstrate the depth of her talent. The hints, signs and connections she laid out throughout each of her works in this series showed what an amazing architect she is in designing complex characters and series. Never a dull moment, Ms. Davis plotted and weaved with a scope that few could comprehend or could do. The culmination of many tears laughs and everything in between Reforming Kent is a fitting finale to a first-class series!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
*While this work can be read as a stand-alone, for an overall enhanced reading experience reading the previous books in this series is suggested.*
I wasn’t sure how If feel reading Kent since in all the past books he was a jerk. I was so worried with who he would end up with in his book. This book I also knew it would be painful but I also knew he would find someone to heal him in the end. I will not give away anything but I’m still feeling the emotions of Kent. Kyler will always be my favorite but Kent tore at my heart and Presley was the perfect woman for him. I know know why Kent was the way he acted in the past books. The ending…. a must read book and I’m sad to see the close of the Kennedy’s.
Favorite book out of the entire series. While I truly enjoyed all the Kennedy men’s stories Kent’s book made me laugh, cry, and ever other emotion in between. I have never been so truly engrossed and invested in a book. I absolutely loved the way the Ms. Davis captured and continued to hold my attention till the very end.
I knew that Reforming Kent was going to be a somewhat dark and disturbing story, but, after all, it was Kent Kennedy, and after appearing so troubled in his brothers’ books, I was anxious to find out the source of his deep-seated angst. There has been a cloud hanging over him for years and he has given no indication as to what is bothering him. Unlike his brothers, he doesn’t share much of anything with them and he doesn’t ever ask for anyone’s help. He was closed off, but struck out in anger and turned his back on his family. When Keaton and Austen got married, he had an immediate visceral reaction and needed to get away from them before he hit someone. Too late. The rage he felt was something I couldn’t understand, but I had a moment where things began to make sense. Kent is the wild child who is intelligent and dreams of being a lawyer, but he fills his life with liquor, drugs, parties and sex. One night he happens into a bar and his life changes forever. He is struck by the beauty and the attitude of the bartender and he sidles up to her, knowing his charm and looks will have her swooning over him in no time. But Presley isn’t that kind of woman. She is a little closed off, herself, and knows that Kent isn’t the kind of guy to stick around. She has enough problems with the two men she considers her brothers, but have caused her no end of misery, and she doesn’t need another one. To watch how Kent turns into a patient, persistent boyfriend, is actually actually quite enjoyably ironic and. Asking his siblings for dating help shows him that he can care about others and his frozen heart begins to thaw. But when his nightmares surface, his past becomes clear, bit by bit. Presley doesn’t leave his side and she is determined to help him face his demons. His demons are devastating and, with each revelation, my heart broke a little more. This is the most distressing, yet uplifting story of the seven Kennedy boys, and it’s done so well that you can’t help but feel a sense of tranquility at the end. The mystery of his nightmares is solved and its resolution is satisfying. There is an emotional conclusion that is a retrospective of the loves and lives of Kyler, Kalvin, Kaden, Keven, Keanu, Keaton and Kent, the seven sons and their partners. It’s a fond, bittersweet farewell from the entire family as they wave goodbye.
Kent and Presley are fantastic. Kent of course is the bad boy Kennedy who drives his brothers crazy and just does things to make them shake their head at him. I feel Kent has always done stuff to purposefully push those closet to him away when he felt they were getting to close. Then there is Presley. A foster child who was used as a cover up for deviant behavior by those entrusted the love, raise and care for her.
I have to say when I started reading this series I was unsure I would ever want to read about Kent. Fast forward and here I am. I think I was crying with the first few chapters. This guy, goodness! He melts my heart and breaks it at the same time. His story, her story, they’re both heartbreakers but in the end they’re meant to be together.
I feel the Kennedy family are a real family by this point in the series. I love how they love one and other. They stand up for and protect those in their family. They’d go to the ends of the earth for one and other and that’s what has kept me so engaged in this story. You get glimpses of the others throughout the other books and there they are fighting for one and other no matter what. James and Alex may have had their ups and downs in the earlier books but one thing is for certain and that’s they have always stood by their sons and their significant others.
I hate that this series is ending because I love this family. I will miss reading about how they always come together in the end for the betterment of their family. Siobhan Davis this series was unbelievably awesome because you kept up the series and gave us those glimpses of the other Kennedy’s. Thank you!
This is the final book in The Kennedy Boys Series and omg what a final book it is. This book completely broke me apart with everything that Kent had gone through but his strength eventually got him through the worst of it. I cried so many times but I couldn’t put this book down as it was so addictive and I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next. Presley was so right for Kent as they had both been through so much and had so much baggage but there connection and chemistry between them was so strong and that is what got them through everything in the end. There are many twists and turns and I couldn’t put this book down. Siobhan Davis is an absolutely incredible author and writer and this book was a true masterpiece and she wrote about a very difficult subject but portrayed it so well that you felt like you were going through it yourself. I am really going to miss reading about these boy’s as they have held a place in my heart with every one of there books. Thank You Siobhan for being such an amazing writer I look forward to reading many more of your amazing books.
Five stars is definitely not enough for Siobhan Davis books. I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.
Knowing this is the end of the Kennedy series is not only sad but almost unbelievable! Finding Kyler was the first contemporary romance I had ever read by Siobhan Davis. I read it shortly after it released and have read every book in this series the moment they were published.
Part of my heart will always be with the Kennedy boys—always!
Reforming Kent takes us on one final, heart wrenching Kennedy journey with things finally making sense and becoming clear; things from the very beginning.
My heart cried happy and sad tears many, many times.
I can’t imagine this series coming to a close in any other way. Well done, Siobhan!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. Siobhan gave me everything I didn’t know I needed for the end of the Kennedy series. Kent was definitely redeemed in this book it sends your emotions on a tailspin. I cried so many years during this book both from devastation and happiness! I highly recommend.

What a perfect way to end the series. This story made me mad, happy, sad, confused, stressed and everything other thing along the journey. I had a suspicion that I knew what Kent’s issues were going to be but Siobhan told his story with so much grace.
The love between Kent and Presley was enchanting and kept me wanting more. I love that she doesn’t give in right away and didn’t care who he was. His family and their wives are a perfect addition to the story. They show everyone what it truly means to love unconditionally.
It was worth the wait for his story but I’m sad for the Kennedy journey to be over.
