This classic novel from Debbie Macomber is a moving story of heartbreak and hope, showing how love can heal even the deepest wounds. Twelve years have passed since Angie Robinson fled her hometown of Groves Point, South Carolina, with ten thousand dollars and a broken heart. She knows Simon Canfield still lives there. His powerful family practically owns the town. Now she’s back, if only to … back, if only to return the money Simon’s mother paid her to leave. For too long Angie has lived with her regrets, her mistakes, and her suffering. If there’s forgiveness to be had, the time has come.
Years of anger and bitterness have hardened Simon’s resolve, and he doesn’t want any part of Angie—or her excuses. But when he discovers the truth about what happened and why she skipped out on him, everything changes. Simon lost the woman he loves once. Despite all that’s happened since, and all that still stand between them, he’s not about to lose her again.

First and last book I will read by this author. The book is decidedly predictable and the dialogue is contrived and out-dated by at least a century.
Good read. Nice and romantic. Realistic story line.
Any book by Debbie Macomber I like
Debbie is always a great read with realistic characters and plot(s).
I usually like Debbie Macomber books, but this one was disappointing. Maybe it was one of her earlier books and she has gotten better.
I felt like this was very formulaic and dragged on. Easy to predict what was going to happen. I had a hard time sticking with it to the end.
Not one of her best.
Different that Debbie’s newer books, but still a good read.
The story was good and characters believable for the most part. I enjoyed the book but it was a one timer.
Her later books are much better. You can see her growth as a writer.
I was very disappointed in Reflections of Yesterday. The protagonist’s former boy friend was a petulant, controling young man. I never felt the romance between them and I would never have suggested the ending. She let the wrong man go.
A good one.
Wonderful story!
Too much back and forth with some silly woman who can’t make up her mind.
Not as good as her newer books but still a good read.
I found this book to be a page turner, a fast read as it takes you on a roller coaster ride of lost & found love
Just ok.
Okay book – not what I usually expect from McComber.
It was good but wanted her to get going and make a decision
Could not put it down
