She was lost to me.I vowed I’d get her back, but she fought me at every turn. Now, she was being threatened and I was done being patient. She would be mine whether she liked it or not.18+ for language and sexual content…Previously titled, A Nun Walks Goes to Jail
Holy Hot Alpha Biker!!!! This book is loaded with hot bikers, gorgeous alpha agents and just enough dominant confident females to balance it all out. The writer had the ability to hook this reader and keep my attention until the very end. She left me smiling with a fantastic epilogue. The laughs, the amazingly cute bickering between Reese and Lex had me quickly flipping pages.
The icing on the cake–classy sex instead of the trashy sex that seems to be so prevalent these days. The sex was actually believable. I didn’t roll my eyes once trying to figure out how the sex was actually happening. The characters were in love and it showed.
I fell in love with Reese while reading Ryder, book one in Sinners and Saints. He is even better in this second chance romance. He fell in love with Alexa years ago. He loved her enough to let her go, keeping her safe from his biker father. That doesn’t mean he completely walked away or stopped caring.
Alexa is in hiding from the Russian mob, hiding in plain sight if you are Catholic. The mob will stop at nothing to silence her, but they will have to through Reese first. Of course Alexa would have to be okay with the arrangement for it to work.
Work is what Reese has to do a lot of in order to convince Alexa to give him a chance. This white knight maybe a little tarnished but he knows how to wield his sword. He will stop at nothing to protect the woman he has never stopped loving.
This book is packed with laughs, edge of seat excitement, and swoon worthy romance making it a must read in my house and hopefully yours.
I first read this book when it was titled A Nun Goes to Jail. It is a second chance romance between Reese and Alexa. Eight years ago they broke each other’s hearts. Reese was trying to protect her by putting some distance between them while he tried to get out of the MC he was raised in. Alexa didn’t like the idea, and so she said they were done. Now in the present she has gotten into some trouble and Reese is back. He is determined to keep her safe and she wants nothing more to do with him. I really liked how Reese came alive in this story, in Ryder: A Dogs of Fire Story he was very angry and monosyllabic. These two have never stopped loving each other, but will they be able to get back to where they once were? There are cameos from a couple of this authors other books, which I really enjoy. I love the interconnected stories Piper Davenport brings to the table. I recommend this and all of her books.
Sinners or saints?
Reese still loves Alexa after all these years. Fate steps on and gives them a second chance, but Reese will have to work to get his lady back. Alexa is hiding from the Russian mob as a nun. This is a wild ride of second chances, nuns, bikers, and mobsters. I truly always enjoy a good Piper Davenport book and the characters she creates and I know you will too.
Reese, Book 2 in the Sinners and Saints series, was formerly published as A Nun Goes to Jail. It is also a spin off of the much loved Dogs of Fire MC Series. Featuring Alexa and Reese, there are also visits from quite a few of our favorite characters from previous books!
Alexa is a girl who had a happy, if somewhat unconventional childhood. She was loved by her parents and her brother. And she had an amazing boyfriend. Until she didn’t. Years later, Alexa ends up in a nunnery of all places, hiding from some people who weren’t very nice people. And that amazing boyfriend shows back up, wanting to protect her. And a second chance!
Reese didn’t have a good childhood at all. His dad was a horrible person, and he had to make some really tough choices. Those choices took him away from Alexa for a long time, and he had to fight his way back to her. He had to fight for a second chance at what they could be.
Alexa and Reese are great together, and this book is so steamy! I love the visits from previous characters, and there was lots of action to keep the book going. It was a fun read, the characters were great, and an amazing addition to the Dogs of Fire world!
Alexa and Reese have my heart on lockdown. Alexa knew at 17 just what she wanted from life. Too bad life just wouldn’t let her have it. Between her family’s less than savory connections and Reese’s despicable father it seems that these stars crossed lovers are doomed. When Reese leaves her things go from bad to worse, she’s not only lost the love of life but her tumultuous family life comes to a head sending her into hiding. Walking away from Alexa was the hardest thing Reese has ever had to do, but if it meant keeping her safe he wouldn’t hesitate to make the same decision again. Now that his father has gone to meet his maker he can finally be with her again, but with all danger surrounding her he still needs to keep her safe as well as win back her heart.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book
