I love the entire series. Pawlish has created a realistic character and spins a good tale in each of her novels.
Enjoyable read, great escape from the world. Entertaining, I truly enjoyed and reccomend reading.
It was a good book. I enjoyed it because it wasn’t a run of the mill mystery. Unexpected turns. Although I had figured out “who done it” the novel way it was proved was really good.
Great read
Loved it. Didnt want to put it down. Excellent writter.
Maybe because I am not a film noir buff I only gave the book three stars. It was okay. This was my first Reed Ferguson book and I am thinking it will be my last. Didn’t care much for the Goofoff Brothers. Reed likens himself to Bogey who only played a detective which seems rather immature to me as does the term “Goofoff brothers. The characters …
A fun who done it. Fun to read
Enjoy the series.
It is nice to read a book once in a while where a male is the lead character. Being a detective really may not be the best choice of careers for him, but he keeps at it until it is solved. Good beach read.
I enjoyed this book; good story.
I enjoy this writer and her talent for creating memorable characters.
It was spread a little thin.
I’m a big fan of Renee Pawlee’s Reed Ferguson books because I know I can count on them for just the right balance of character, plot, and dialogue. Each book in the series also is strong enough to stand separately. This saves the reader two problems sometimes created by less experienced author. One is that the author assumes that all previous …
A good classic detective story with some fun and funny twists to keep the reader interested.
I like her style(as I do Dashal Hamet and other great writers of his day
I truly enjoyed Real Estate Rip-Off! It is so well written, it was like watching a movie as it unfolded in my imagination. The tone fluidly moves between contemporary times into the 30’s-40’s film noir and creates a great setting reminiscent of old detective stories. It’s well written, tight and smooth so there aren’t any dull moments or …
A real white knuckle page turner, I couldn’t help but stay up late night reading this book a real interesting storyline with lots going on right from page one! This is a must read author for sure.
Well written. Likeable characters. I appreciate not seeing bad language and God’s name used in vain. Some books have clean language but are very corny and amateurish. Renee Pawlish’s books are well written.
So, I am a sucker for PI novels, especially those that do not take themselves too seriously. It helps that I am a big Bogie fan too!
Always enjoy a good Reed story
