Reel Estate Rip-off is the second book in the Reed Ferguson mystery series by Renee Pawlish. Novice private investigator Reed Ferguson is a noir P.I. He doesn’t carry a gun. He isn’t breaking the nose on every other guy he deals with, and he has a degree of self-deprecating humor. When a man afraid of heights supposedly rides his bicycle over the …
This is the second time I have stepped into Pawlish’s world and I think Reed is fast becoming one of my favorites. The books are fast paced, well written, and easy to fall into. I look forward to my next encounter with Reed Ferguson.
I like reading a book where I learn something.
Poor Reed gets knocked in the head more than once–I am surprised that he can figures things out.
I like the characters in this book and of course there are some that I do not like.
PI Reed Ferguson is an expert on Hollywood Noir. He would like to be another Philip Marlow and so he takes chances and lands in danger. Somehow he finds a way out and gets the job done. Entertaining and fun.
Fantastic mystery. Reed is one hell of a detective. This story is thrilling, suspenseful, and exciting. What a ride.
I have enjoyed all of the books in this series. I look forward to more
The usual good read from Pawlish.
A PI accepted a case which had been closed as accidental death. Wonderful read as he sets out to prove the victim might have been murdered.
fun series; interesting characters; didn’t figure this out at all!
Renee Pawlish never fails to bring the Film Noir vibe to the modern day.
Can’t stop reading her books!!
Very good story. I love this series. It’s original and has that Bogey vibe from the old movies.
Can’t go wrong with this one.
Really interesting book!
I enjoy reading the Reed Ferguson mysteries. Getting to know the characters is a great part of the series. They are humorous, entertaining, and at times funny.
Enjoyable fun read.
Love all her books.
I love film noir and Reed Pawlish brings that feeling to his writing. You can almost see the hero trying out his favorite detective characters as his aliases when calling on persons of interest. The ‘Goofball Brothers’ add just the right amount of humor without taking away from the story. Enjoyable!
Good story line. Not particularly engrossing but still well worth reading.
I love the Reed Ferguson books!
I’ve enjoyed all of his books and look forward to his new ones.
Much like her other books. Good read but you know how it will end. Still like the books.
