Jordan’s questionable fashion sense and limited kitchen skills don’t exactly enhance his résumé. But as Landry soon realizes, Jordan has many attractive qualities too.

I won a copy of this book.
Landry is one of Hollywood’s finest food and fashion gurus. But since the death of his husband, he has been floundering and now his personal assistant is retiring, he really needs to get on top of his game. But Jordan isn’t like anyone he has worked with before. The man has the fashion sense of a horse, and hasn’t worked as a PA before. Jordan does though, have many other skills that Landry needs. Is Jordan just the man to find the REAL Landry Bishop, not the made up one?
I loved this book!
It’s such a well written story about a man’s path to finding himself again, after being such a manufactured image for so long.
I have just one negative comment, and it’s not really a negative BAD thing, more a case of my being greedy with my books, and I make no apologises for being so!
Only Landry has a voice here. I wanted, no, I NEEDED to hear from Jordan, and we don’t. This is the only reason I can’t stretch to 5 stars, because I don’t get Jordan. Had he had a voice, I have no doubt none at all, that this would have been a 5 star read.
Landry’s self doubt is evident at the beginning, and continues to grow as Jordan begins to work for him. It develops as the book progresses and it was very well done, the way it blooms through the book.
Landry and Jordan’s relationship blossoms and grows at an even rate, and it was great watching Landry fall for Jordan, even as he argued with himself that he shouldn’t.
It’s not overly dramatic, nor is it explicit, but it is sexy and there is a lot of emotion pouring out of Landry through out the book.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, bar for the fact that Jordan isn’t given a voice, and for that reason only. . .
4 stars
**same worded review will appear elsewhere**
Laundry was so busy running from who he was and wear he came from that he lost sight of where he was heading. He had people in his life that sort of helped him gain success but also directed his life. After he looses that he has to take a new look at his life. Enter Jordan just as Laundry is becoming less sure about what really matters and how is success truly defined. Together they discover love, improve themselves in new ways, and find out what home really means.
I won’t repeat the blurb I’m sure everyone knows what the book is about. This is a a well written story about two lonely men who are unconsciously seeking to belong somewhere or to someone. Landry is a slave to his own success and public image, always surrounded by people but nevertheless lonely. When Jordan comes to his life he is starting to question is it this life what he really wants. I liked the premise of the book and the writing is good so it keeps your attention from the first to the last page, but for me something is missing. It’s to low on angst and steam for my liking. The attraction between Jordan and Landry is supposed to be there but you can barely feel it. They just met but they come across like an old married couple at times. Landry’s hangups about returning to his home town and contacting his sister should be explored deeper. If you are looking for sweet, well written read with HEA this is a the book for you.
A new Re-Read for sure
I enjoyed Redesigning Landry Bishop. I didn’t know this was a book 2 and that was okay. This story is totally stand-alone, but I am going to have to get book 1 after reading this one.
This story is such a wonderful read. You have two people who seem like they would have nothing in common, but they totally do. Jordon is just what Landry needs. Landry works very hard, sometimes too hard. Jordon just wants to take care of people.
It has a slow burn and I enjoyed the ride. To see Landry really come into who he is supposed to be and how Jordon helped him find that.
I would say this is a must read story.
I loved this low angst, slow burning romance. I loved the dynamics between Landry and Jordan and how well suited they were for each other.
There is a nice mix of humor and feelings. This was a sweet read.
Redesigning Landry Bishop by Kim Fielding was given to me in exchange for an honest review. We all wear masks and sometimes we can take them off and just be ourselves. Landry Bishop never seemed to be able to take his brand mask off even if he just wanted a hamburger. Jordan Stryker was the replacement for his former PA Elaine who wanted to make someone’s life easier. Jordan was able to see behind the mask Landry had firmly in place and set out to show him that he really saw the person Landry could and should be. I really enjoyed this story. It shows that all of us are just trying to fit in but we first have to be and like ourselves in order to be the best version of ourselves.
