Because of Megan. She’s scared, battered, and damaged. Rescued from circumstances … battered, and damaged.

This is the first book in this series and is amazing. Megan was abducted and sold to become a sex slave for years shes subjected to rape and physical abuse by a man known only as M. 2 years after she was abducted a man called Gawain is called in to rescue her. But unfortunately M wasnt at the house when shes rescued. Will M come for her again or is she really free and just who is M. Find out in this book.
Something good to replace her nightmares
—>>> Gawain Vincent is one of a dozen assassins of the Cavalieri Della Morte organization, fighters in the cause for justice. Megan Ragnell was taken on the night of her birthday and sold to a man named M and then beaten, used, and abused for the next two years until Gawain shows up to rescue her. Something about this girl who still has a fighting spirit despite the obvious outward signs reaches out to him and grabs his attention and his need to protect her. As they unravel the mystery surrounding M, what they end up discovering is worse than what their nightmares could come up with.
Gawain, oh how I have longed for your story…..and it did not disappoint! I loved Gawain when I first met him, and was like a school girl seeing her first band, excited to get my hands on his story. His story was everything I would have wanted and more! I loved watching Megan grow and take charge of her wants and needs. Gawains soft side made my heart melt, and I loved catching up with Kay and Evelyn.
I am pleased that I chose to give this author a chance with this being the first book I have read by her and it shall definitely not be the last. She tells a story that has characters who have endured a lot of pain and seen the evil in the world. Gawain is a knight in tarnished armour, he’s as deadly as he is kind and his heart tells him that Megan needs to stay with him. These two characters have a lot to overcome in order for them to have any chance of romance and love together. I loved this story from start to finish, so very, very well written.

Megan was kidnapped, raped and tortured for two years by a madman. Gawain is an assassin for the Cavalieri Della Morte tasked with rescuing Megan. He is a hard man but has a soft spot for females. He tries to help Megan overcome her past abuse. This is a quick, dark read that involves human trafficking. A good read.

Could of been a little longer, but it was a great quick read. Good story line and the characters had great chemistry. I liked the little twist near the end. The story flowed great and had you interested in what will happen next the whole time.
This is the story of Gawain, and Megan. Gawain is one of the twelve assassins of the Cavalieri Della Morte, and he ends up rescuing Megan from being a sex slave. He takes her in, and helps her get her life together, all the while developing a connection. This book was intense, dark, twisted, and steamy. Great Book.

A new author for me, the book comes with a warning about triggers. I began reading and thought, this is going to be a dark read. However the initial chapter was written with brutal honesty and then it dwindled away. I like how the other Cavalieri knights were reintroduced to this storyline.
Gawain is Arthur’s nephew, he has lived through his own form of torture. His mission now is to protect women from trafficking. Megan’s life is turned upside down one night, two years later she is a shadow of her former self. Now she’s a slave, a doll, something to toy with and manipulate. Megan is caught in the trap of a man named M…it stands for monster.
This book had some really great chemistry between the well developed characters and the storyline flowed easily keeping turning the pages.

Another amazing book in this series! This is Gawains and Megan’s story. Gawain is fearless. He wants to help Megan get through. This is a great series where each book is written by a different author. So far I have absolutely loved every one of them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND SERIES!

Gawain joined Arthur’s army at 16. He wanted to make a difference. He had seen true evil, been a victim of it. Now he needed to atone for a sin he could never make right.
Megan was celebrating her life when the evil took her.
Two years she has survived as nothing more than a doll to be played with then discarded until the urge strikes her owner again. Beaten into submission she finds herself questioning the motives of the strangers who appears at her door offering her freedom.
Can two souls burdened with shame find a way to forgive?
Can Gawain find M before it is too late for Megan?
This was not as dark, IMO, as some of the previous episodes of the Della Morte. The acts that occur are a bit graphic and are sure to be triggers for some so heed the warnings.
I felt it was more a journey of two broken souls finding redemption and love in one another. Yes, I am a hopeless romantic. Gawain, for me, was the perfect dark knight. He was not blind to the consequences of his actions, he took responsibility. He was generous to a fault. He was a closet romantic. Definite book boyfriend material!
Megan was a free spirit. She fought to find her way back and despite her circumstances, she found a way to keep a spark alive until hope could find her.
I found this issue pulled the heartstrings a bit more than some of the others. The story was easy to follow and kept me right on that edge never sure if it was safe to let my guard down.
Redemption is about Gawain one of the twelve assassins of the Cavalieri Della Morte. Gawain is sent on a job to save Megan who has been trafficked. I like the way Gawain was so protective of Megan and how their chemistry heated up from the start. The writing is great, the story flowed smoothly and the characters are intriguing. This dark, suspenseful story is a great addition to the Cavalieri Della Morte series and I look forward to reading the rest of the books.
Hello to the next book for the Cavalieri Delta Morte! I love the books that introduce me to new authors, coupled with the dark, dirty and demanding alphas of this group. When I open this book, I just know I’m going to be hooked from the first word regardless of who writes it. These stories go from these dark, brooding relationships, to these u expected relationships that have developed into something else. I always feel so dirty reading them, but love every ounce of the dark dirtiness.
Gawain is sent to Megan by his uncle. It leads into the their backgrounds and struggles that have changed them into the people they are today. You will love the twists and turns that this story takes. Let the obsession continue with this amazing series!!!
Redemption is the latest book in the Cavalieri della Morte series and another fantastic addition to this series. Gawain Vincent was such an intriguing and captivating character. Just like the other members of the Cavalieri he’s lethal yet has a special place in his heart for rescuing abuse victims. His newest retrieval mission had him rescuing Megan and together they took me on a wild, twisted, and heart-gripping ride. This intense, suspenseful, exciting and romantic read was one of my favorites from this series and I look forward to the next story in the Cavalieri della Morte.
Two years ago, Megan was kidnapped and sold to M. She’s been beaten, raped and tortured. Gawain is an assassin for the Cavalieri Della Morte. He rescues Megan, and tries to help her by gaining his trust… but will she be able to save him at the same time or will his past interfere with his future..
Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting that you have a few assassins Gawain was told to go and rescue Megan, she is getting abused while she was held captive against her will.

Redemption by Anna Edwards, book number 10 of the Cavalieri Della Morte series but can be read as a standalone. There will be triggers in this one for some, I don’t want to spoil anything so all I’m going to say is sex trafficking is a big part of this story so if you have triggers to that sort of thing, proceed with caution. Anna Edwards is a new-to-me author but she did an amazing job on her installment to the Cavalieri Della Morte series. If you have been reading the series you know we’ve seen glimpses here and there of Gawain but now we get the full story of the mysterious man.
“When Arthur calls, you answer without question. Sex is one thing but the thrill of a new assignment ignited the fire in my blood. Saving those who need it is the best feeling in the world.”
Gawain Vincent, one of the twelve assassins of the Cavalieri Della Morte. But Gawain’s situation is a little different than the other assassins. Arthur, the man in charge of these badass assassins, is Gawain’s Uncle. Each member of the Cavalieri have their own special set of skills, Gawain is not only a skilled fighter, but this ladies man has a sweet nature when it comes to women which makes him the best guy for the job when it comes to helping with victims of sex trafficking. But for Gawain, it’s personal.
Gawain’s father was a horrible human being and made Gawain partake in unspeakable acts, and ever since Gawain got away from him he’s been seeking redemption for the sins he was forced to commit.
“It’s why I’ve worshipped them with my body ever since, hoping that I’ll find some redemption for what I did.”
So when the Cavaleri gets a call about a trafficking ring, Gawain is Arthur’s first call.
While out with her friend Lena to celebrate her 24th birthday Megan Ragnell is taken by sex traffickers. Shortly after being taken Megan is sold to a sadistic man she only knows as “M”. This “M” does despicable things to Megan, for two long years she’s kept in a room in “M’s” house where she suffers mental and physical abuse at his hand.
Unfortunately, when Gawain and his brothers get there to save Megan, the mysterious “M” has already escaped. With “M” still on the loose and the overwhelming connection Gawain feels towards her, he takes Megan home with him to help get her on the road to recovery and to make sure she’s safe while she heals.
Megan is a shell of the woman she used to be, scared, frightened, and fragile. As a trained sex slave she’s been conditioned to be a certain way and it’s not easy for her to break from those habits.
Slowly but surely she begins to flourish under Gawain’s care and despite her painful experience, she is still drawn to Gawain. Maybe it’s because he saved her, or maybe it’s because she feels safe around him, either way, she can’t stop.
Gawain vows to avenge Megan and find “M”, he won’t stop until “M” is incapable of ever hurting another woman again.
But things take a turn when Gawain’s quest to find the mysterious “M” leads him closer to home than he ever could have imagined…
Ahhh, I loved Gawain and Megan’s story! Watching Megan thrive under Gawain’s love and care, and Gawain finally learning how to forgive his self for the things that happened that were beyond his control, beautifully written.
I only had a couple of issues with this one, for starters the relationship between Gawain and Megan… super fast for a sex trafficking victim. The ending, I just felt like it was way too rushed and I just wanted it to be… MORE. I mean the villain and all that was GREAT but I just needed more to that scene.
Gawain is such a sweetheart and when he dressed up as Mr. Darcy for her…OMG, *sigh* despite his chosen profession Gawain is a GOOD man.
Megan, that girl has gone through so, so much and came out stronger than ever on the other side. I was really happy to see that she went through counseling and not just completely healed by Gawain’s love, made things feel a lot more realistic for me.
All in all, this one is a 4 1/2 from me and was a wonderful addition to the Cavalieri Della Morte series. Highly recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
4 1/2 Stars
Although a bit common as the theme of many dark romances where human trafficking and slaves are at the center of the storyline, this was was particularly sad and troubling. Kudos to the author for creating Megan and Gawain as redeemable and worthy despite their horrible experiences.
I thought the dual POVs helped in understanding this couple as they helped each other heal from their emotional and physical wounds.
Although they get their deserved HEA, the ending is left open for more to come. I appreciated the absence of the dreaded cliffy, and will be looking forward to reading more from this author.
