This was a great book that kept me wanting to read more and more to figure out who the actual killer was. I highly recommend this book.
Many twists. Great read.
I loved all the twists and turns!! Read in one afternoon!
An improbable but thoroughly engaging story in which most everybody has secrets or losses that haunt them. Oddly, the murder of Crystal, Travis’ mother, forces them to come to grips with their issues and, after Matt and his sister, Sedona identify the killer, reconcile with their past and the people involved in their lives. The story moved forward with no pause or interruption, even Matt’s introspection. But the core of the story was that good people, albeit with issues, resolved their issues because of Crystal’s death and Matt’s perseverance.
It was a really good story. Unpredictable because of trying to figure out who the murderer was. Everyone looked guilty. That’s the mark of a good book. Really enjoyed.
How many moments in life does one wish you could repeat and do differently? How often, later in life, does one look back and realize how much you have had in common with the parents who you thought were from another planet when you were a teen? This is a great book about family dynamics, and mistakes made, and lessons learned. Loved it!
Drama and mystery.
The mystery is very intriguing, well paced, and kept my interest throughout. The plot is interwoven with the drama of a teenager learning how to cope with guilt about poor decisions he’s made and the less-than-perfect, complex relationships between family and friends. The characters are well developed and very realistic.
I recommend this book if you like a heavy dose of well-written drama and character introspection along with your mystery. I look forward to reading another book by this author.
fabulous….I couldn’t put it down…..
Good read. Teenage hormones and the trouble they can cause. Sad family dynamics.
Makes you think about the consequences of poor decisions! Interesting book.
Not too suspenseful, but it does keep you thinking.
The plot was pretty twisted, but the author stuck to the theme.
This book was ok but dragged in some parts. I thought the author was too repetitive about Matt’s issues. Probably would not read anymore of this author unless the writing is tighter.
A very good mystery.
The reader can feel the emotions of the characters in the book and empathize. Really draws you into the story and the mystery.
I enjoyed it for many reasons. I grew up in Tucson. I graduated from the U of A. I didn’t know who the perp was until the end. I wept at many points feeling the need for redemption. I wondered why it was titled “Redemption Lake” until the end.
A wonderful and insightful look into grief, guilt and redemption. Lots of red herrings and while not as much of a surprise ending as I was expecting, it was still a satisfying read. Very good look at the logical and almost uncanny way a detective ‘s mind works.
Great book
Highly recommend!! Grabs you right away!
I really enjoyed reading this book, highly recommend.
